Basically, I eat very simple foods. Fruits, steamed vegetables, chicken, fish, whole grain bread, tortillas, sometimes pasta. When I shop, I look for foods high in something good (like fiber, protein, calcium) and with very few ingredients. My son is very sensitive to some preservatives and high fructose corn syrup so that is an extra incentive for me to buy and serve clean foods. We have a grocery store nearby (Whole Foods Market) that specializes in this type of eating. We are not super rigid about it, but as a general rule, we eat this way.
