3 Weeks of Hardcore- down 4 pounds

Hey!
How is your Hardcore rotation going? I've now completed 3 weeks and I have lost 4 pounds. Body fat % taken at the gym and they say 14.8%. Now I really can't believe that, but the trainer who took it said she knows what she is doing and her margin of error is only +- 2%. So, I would say that is good news. Abs are looking better, too. I want a six pack so bad! The only bad thing- my neighbor told me she thinks I'm almost on the edge of looking too buff. She thinks Cathe looks too cut, though, so I'll ignore her. ;)
Just curious if you are seeing results yet from Hardcore.

Congrats!!! What great news. I am following the hardcore rotation this month. Today is day two, and I can not move my arms. Yesterday was Chest & Triceps. Yikes. Today was IMAX3. I feel like I am having an out of body experience. I hurt everywhere..... But it feels GREAT!!!!!

Amy,

Of course, you know we all want your rotation details. Could you please post them.

It sound like you are doing great. This series is wonderful. I lost 3 pounds the second week so have been upping my calories and added in some extra protein. I am hoping to gain a little more mass. I would ignore the neighbor. I had a friend I hadn't seen in awhile look at me and say "look at those arms, when are you going to stop?" Well, I guess it is all in what look you are going for. I chose to ignore her. And I too think Cathe looks great. I think I am achieving some more definition. My abs are looking better.

AM: High Step challenge for 55 minutes, PM: Core Max #1, ball stretch
AM: Kick Max
AM: Low Max
AM: Muscle Max
AM: Imax 3 PM: 30 min. light cardio w/ my daughter- Patrick Goudeau ABC Ball
Off

Week 2
AM: HSCh
AM: Core Max tough core premix, Gym Style Shoulder etc. timesaver premix PM: Basic Step w/ daughter
Off
AM: Imax Circuit Hard Core Extreme
AM: Cardio and Weights w/ double the weights
Off

Week 3
Kick Max Bootcamp premix plus legs at the end
Low Max
Easy Ball workout w/ my daughter (Patrick Goudeau), Body Fusion, Coremax #3, stretch max #1
Muscle Max
AM: Imax Low Max Combo on HardCore Extreme, PM: Push Pull w/ my daughter VERY light weight
High Step Challenge (That was today!)

Next week I am planning to integrate the Gym Style Timesavers in and mix them w/ Timesavers from the cardio DVDs. When I look at it, it looks like a LOT of working out, but the stuff I am doing w/ my daughter is totally easy and its good time together as well. It has definitely blasted me through a plateau.

Congrats, Amy! I believe all those slow reps in the GS workouts are really fat burners.

Last week I got myself a new pair of Lee jeans, size 3/4. I was with my fussy and bored 4-year-old so I just got them off the rack and didn't try them on. Finally got to wear the jeans today and found myself pulling them up all the time! Measured these good ol' lardy hips and found out I lost another quarter inch. I'd already lost half an inch before HC. Measured my waist and found out I lost another 3/8 of an inch... and I haven't even been able to follow my planned HC rotation to the letter. Been skipping the cardio because I've been swamped, and I've just been doing strength training for the most part. I weigh 106 on our scale; 111 on my doctor's scale. This is my third week on HC. I've also been eating as cleanly as I can. I'd love to have my BF measured but I don't know where I can get myself dunked in water.:) I'm planning on going one more week on HC before doing another 4-week rotation combining the S&H and GS workouts.

Amy,

I am not doing a hardcore rotation, but I just had to comment on your progress! That is wonderful!!! 14.8% is freaking great! I want a six pack too.

There is a huge difference between looking fit strong and healthy and emancipated..it is almost as if society would rather see a women near death thin, than healthy and strong!! Why are women with muscles so persecuted??? Isn't it a bunch of crap!! I took my Cathe catalog to work to show some of my co-workers, many of them thought that Cathe was too cut and defined..Please!! Cathe is my hero!! I would love to look like her!!

That is ok..when all the skinnies are bent over with osteoporosis and muscle wasting..we will be teaching the nursing home aerobics classes..LOLOLOL!!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Thanks so much for your kind comments. I do enjoy working out and I'm thankful that I can. I have to make myself avoid "thin person jealousy" because I doubt that I will ever be anyone's idea of thin. But strong and healthy, I can do!
One more thing I did- I got an evaluation from a Sports Nutritionist. She's a college professor friend of mine. That was interesting to see what my eating patterns reveal. We put every single bite of food for one week into the computer. Then she calculated my average daily calories, average servings, vitamins, deficiencies, etc. I found that I was not getting enough fiber, veg carbs, and whole grain carbs to sustain the energy level for the workouts I was doing, so I upped these areas. I can tell that I have more energy for both exercise and for the rest of my day, which keeps my body burning fuel more efficiently.
I found this interesting and worthwhile- especially since she did it for free!

Great job! I don't know, but when I see pictures of the women on this board who look really fit and have muscles...then it inspires me. Knowing they use the same strength training routines makes me want to work!!! It just makes me realize it's possible.

Congratulations on you weight loss Amy!! Keep up the great work! I think this series is very challenging and will give excellent results.

Amy,

Thanks for taking the time to post your rotation. Again, congratulations on your results!

I know you mentioned that your abs are looking better, with that fat percentage I'd say they must be looking great!! How are your arms and legs looking since you started the hardcore series?

Well, In spite of everything, I still have some excess skin on my abs that MAY continue to shrink or it may not- after 3 pregnancies (well 4 if you count one that we lost) with 9 lb babies in a shortwaisted mom, I realize I may not get the actual look I want, but it is getting closer for sure and is better than I ever thought I could get.
I'm not sitting there thinking, "Wow, I so look so great" or anything, but sometimes I do a double take because I'll catch something in the mirror that surprises me (like shoulder definition or back muscles) Even so, low body fat does not look the same on everyone and I would like to improve definition without being obsessed with fitness. :D

Great job with your success!!!!:+ Stories like yours keep me motivated and hopefully someday I will be able to post my own success story!!! Becoming more involved with this forum is one of the best things I have done!! There are SO MANY remarkable women and so many great success stories, how could you not stay motivated?!?!:) :)
Keep up the great work!
