We had an absolute stomach epidemic hit our school just before Thanksgiving. There are 1000 students in my school. At it's worst we had 270 students out and 20 teachers. It took a week for it to run its course and I'll bet it hit over half of our population before it was finished. Most kids and teachers were better within about 24 hours, but a few kids were down for several days. They all came back with horror stories about how hard it hit, and how miserable they were. Most of them said they were glad it was relatively short lived. All this to say, whatever it is, it is very contagious! Your coworkers will thank you if you take extra precautions not to spread it at work. I have been sanitizing my desks, pencil sharpener, and keyboards every day since this out break. My heart went out to my students and coworkers, and I just prayed I wouldn't bring it home to my family.
Last night I was stricken with this terrible 24 hour stomach bug which I caught from DH! Now 4 out of 5 in the family has it!! My poor carpets!! I have never been in such severe abdominal pain in my life!!! I actually was doubled up on the floor looking for comfort. Needless to say I got hardly no sleep last night!!!
