DVD Details

DVD #1: This DVD targets the beginner/intermediate exerciser. The workouts included with this DVD are:

Basic Step: This 30 minute step aerobic workout is designed for the beginner exerciser who is looking for a fun and easy-to-follow cardiovascular challenge to help burn off unwanted pounds. While it will be mostly all low impact, there may be a small amount of high impact step included (ie: hop turn, over the top, a step hop). The moves will be broken down a little more than a classic Cathe workout, however, it will keep moving and flowing effectively (ie: no marching to stop and explain).
Step N Sculpt: This 45 minute total body conditioning workout will
combine intermediate level step aerobics and weight training. You will
engage in cycles of solid step aerobics followed by cycles upper and lower body conditioning with light hand weights. Heavier hand weights can be substituted if preferred.

Upper Body Sculpt:20 Minute Upper Body Conditioning: This workout will tone all of the major muscles in the Upper Body: Back, Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps. A stability ball, light hand weights and a tubing strap will be used in this workout. Heavier weight can be substituted if preferred.

Lower Body Sculpt:20 Minute Lower Body Conditioning: This workout will tone all of the major muscles in the Lower Body: Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Glutes, Buttocks, Outer and Inner thigh, and Calves. A stability ball, light hand weights and a tubing strap will be used in this workout. Heavier weight can be substituted if preferred.

Abs:10 minute Core Conditioning: This core workout features a stability ball as well as intermediate level abdominal and core exercises.

DVD #2: :
High Step Circuit: Beg/Int.... This 50 to 60 minute fitness conditioning circuit will burn fat and shape and tone your body from head to toe. The workout features the use of the High Step. This versatile piece of equipment adjusts in height so easily that you'll quickly move from cycles of step aerobics to cycles of upper and lower body conditioning with greater ease and effectiveness. Light hand weights and a tubing strap (with handles) will also be used in this workout. The tubing is optional. You will be able to substitute hand weights in place of the tubing and/or heavy hand weights in place of light ones.

DVD #3: :
High Step Circuit: Advanced....This 60 minute advanced total body conditioning circuit will provide the ultimate overall fitness challenge. It will feature the use of the High Step which will allow for a more time efficient and effective workout since it adjusts easily from a cardiovasular tool to a sculpting devise and fitness prop.
You will need a loaded barbell; a pair of light and heavy dumbbells; Stability Ball for core work (options will be shown if you don't want to use a ball, however, the ball will provide maximum challenge).

You will do quick and continuous two minute cycles of intense step conditioning (power moves included), as well as intense upper and lower body sculpting, and core conditioning. The two minute weight cycles can vary from slow and heavy weight to normal rep speed and lighter weight, and there may even be a possibility of a cycle or two being compound exercises involving upper and lower together. One thing is definite: You will finish the workout clearly convinced that no muscle in your body was under worked! Bring it on!

Curious: The catalogue offered one of the sets at a "savings" that came to a total higher than what you'd pay for the three individually (179.99, I think). Has that been corrected? If so, what is the new price?

How long will the new DVDs be available for the "presale" price? What price will they go up to once they're no longer available at that price? Thanks!

Yeah - you end up paying MORE on the post pre-sale, regular prices, if order you them as a 'pack' than if you buy them as separate DVD items (excluding S&H of course).

* The 3 DVD set retails at $80.00.
* Buying all three DVD's as separate items when ordering adds up to $79.97.

It's only a 3c but it can't be right. There's a discount on pack buying of the BB DVD's so this must be an error.

Be interesting to find out...

Your catalogue says SEVENTY-NINE ninety-seven? Mine says ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY NINE ninety-seven. Is there a one-hundred dollar mistake in one of these catalogues, too?

Have they started shipping these new DVDs yet?

I haven't been checking the message board and I'm just curious if they have gone out yet?

Thanks
:D

Hi Jocelyn~Here are the last TWO updates from SNM:

New DVD Update
3-25-04 Finished the editing of all the workouts. We will begin The DVD authoring process in a few days and should be completely finished and ready to send to the replicator in about a week.
3-8-04 Finished Filming all of the footage for the New DVDs. We should begin the editing process next week.

This info is found on the Home page. Cathe said that whatever is updated at the time is the "step" they are involved in at the time. Soooo, it looks like our DVD's are at the replicators! Yeeeah! Hope this helps.

I read that from their home page. I just thought I missed something since I haven't checked the forum lately.

I sure hope they ship them out soon because I'm getting tired of my old Cathe video.lol

Thanks:)

Hi Cathe!

I am planning a big order. I want to get the new presale dvds plus several others. Will the presale reamin in effect (and at the same price) at least until the FitTv marathon on 5/1? I'd love to check out some of the other workouts featured before I make my final selections. Thanks! Chris

Hey there! This is the first time I've added my two cents to anything on Cathe's website. I'm a little nervous - I keep feeling things like I'm not worthy going through my head. Anyway, I just hope the new DVD's will be worth the wait. I preordered way back in February and I'm little anxious.:)

Anyone have an idea why no one is replying to any of the questions here? Makes me frankly really, really wary of ever buying another cathe video. It would be nice to get a response to the hundred-dollar discrepancy question, for instance!

I think you should contact the Step 'n' Motion customer service directly by e-mail. I also want to assure you that Cathe & Step 'n' Motion are quite professional, trustworthy, & conscientious about their business--there is no need to feel nervous about ordering from them.
