Hi everyone,

I'm just going to go ahead & post this since I'm STILL awake & it IS morning!

I was supposed to rest today but since I can't sleep late...you have to actually sleep to sleep late:p ...I'm going to work out.

I think I'll do a rousing step tape for fun & then soak in a long hot shower while drinking my strong hot coffee.

p.s. Can anybody tell me please, why nobody has ever invented a way to underline a word on a computer?? It is MOST annoying!
 
Ruth, did you stay up all night?

As for underlining, it's just Cathe's website. I mean, you can underline in email and in word processing. Anyway, capitalizing is a good substitute, no?

Editing to say I HATE MONDAYS. Especially when I have PMS. But at least it's a 4-day week, and the gym is open on Friday. So that's something to look forward to.

Good Morning Everyone,

Not much energy this morning so I just did S&H back and Step Heat Abs. I was supposed to also do Leaner Legs but with Viper and Bootcamp cardio only premix yesterday I just didn't have it in me-I figured my legs needed a break.

BRRRRR! It's about 15 degrees here now and it's only going to get worse. My basement is chilly so it's a bit cold when I start working out but then it begins to feel just right. But, if I could only stay inside till March:)

Ruth-Maybe you can take a nap later today (Gosh that sounds good, doesn't it?)Did you get much shopping done yesterday?

It is COLD!

Today is MIC (Sandra I do hope you have gotten my thank-you posts for this great rotation!!). I pre-viewed MIC last night and was thinking "I'll just modify". It is going to be interesting!

I was also previewing my new Bootcamp video and dropped itx(
It cracked itx( x( I was soooo mad!! Anyway, picking up super-glue today in hopes of salvaging it!!

hello everyone:

Yesterday, the gym was closed so I only did KP&C abs, The Next Step abs (seasun has a great abs section), and MIS abs; and we went for a relaxing walk. I had KP&C in its entirety all planned for yesterday but...I got lazy. We have been working on a jigsaw mystery puzzle and it was calling my name.

Today, the gym is open and I am going to lift weights, take a step class, and a stretch class. I also cannot wait for Cathe's stretch tape.

Hi everyone,

No exercise this weekend. :( Way to busy. It had better stop after the new year.

I will be doing SH Legs plus cardio of Step Intervals. DD's are off for the holiday break. I will get my w/o in after work instead of at 9pm.

We had 10 deg F and snow this morning on the way to work! Hopefully the snow will stay around so we can have a white Christmas.

Good morning,

Another coffee addict, here. Gotta have two cups before 11am every day. Yesterday I actually slept in and didn't get my 5am coffee until 8:30am. I developed a headache that lasted all day; ugh!

This morning I did MIC followed by CW core. I was not in the mood for it, but I plowed through, and did quite fine. The best thing I can say about this workout, today, is that I won't have to do it again for 2 or 3 weeks. Woohoo. Very effective workout, but can seem like a beast if you're not mentally prepared for it.

Ruth - have you stayed up all night??? Is the stress you're under causing insomnia? That's awful! Or have you been internet shopping all night?

Nancy-who-hates-Mondays - did you do a workout today? I don't think you mention it in your post. I like Mondays because I get the house to myself again, even though I'm supposed to be working in my home office. It's nice being able to sit in a chair for more than three minutes at a time, without being called to come help someone with something!

Carole - what step tape did you pick?

Wendy - that was some workout you did yesterday!! Whew!! I'm not surprised you aren't up to LL today. Viper has the ME lunges and squats in it, doesn't it? I'd say you're good for a week, after that workout! :) Oh, hey you just gave me a great idea. I have BodyMax planned for Thursday, but do NOT want to actually do it. I might swap it with the Viper. I'll have to decide as the day gets closer.

Lisa - OOOOHHHH. You've never done MIC before? Ah. Good luck with that. If you feel the need to send out for oxygen part way through the workout, you won't be the first. I really enjoy putting rotations together, and I'm happy to know I've helped. Feel free to modify anything to better suit you; I won't get offended :) Oh, and I hope BC is salvageable!! I received a Cathe tape with a corner broken off. I taped the piece back on, and it worked fine. I used it until CK Sales sent me a new tape. I hope you have the same success with BootCamp.

Mariángeles - how is your shoulder injury these days? If you're able to do CTX Upper, it must be doing okay?

Suzanne - your existence these days sounds idealic. I can see why you are willing to work so hard the other nine months of the year.

Jes - you haven't posted in a couple of days; have your family descended on you already? Are you doing okay?

Laurie - you did an awesome workout yesterday. How's the situation with your daughter working out? And how is your MIL?

I have a question, and would appreciate all of your opinions. On Thursday afternoon we are driving to the mountains for a couple of days of downhill skiing. Since we are teaching the 4 year old to ski, I don't anticipate doing much actual skiing myself. We also have plans to have a couple of really special meals while we're there. I have it in the back of my mind to bring my laptop and KPC, and possibly BC and a couple of 8lb dumbells, to workout in my hotel room on Friday and Saturday. We will be coming home on Sunday, which will also be my rest day. My question is: am I being too anal in this? I really enjoy working out, and hate it when I miss a day. Given that I don't anticipate getting much skiing in, and that we're going to be eating a lot, I'd really like to get some good quality workouts in. What would you do? Leave the workouts at home, and forget about it? Bring the workouts and struggle to find time in the day to do them?

Good morning everyone,

This morning me, myself and I had a hugh fight trying to get out of the bedx( x( x( , and ME won. So I worked out with PUB for the first time and although it was feeling good:) :) , I got a little annoyed with myself b/c I was able to do everything except the biceps in its entiretyx( x( x( . Talking about modification, man, I modified BIG TIME, somehow I couldn't manage to use the 15# for hammers and traditional curlsx( x( x( . So I said to myself, "ok this is your first time so what do you expect?" Maybe next week will be better}( .

Morning all! I didn't workout this morning. The baby had a bad night last night and I didn't get to bed until 1:00 and I couldn't even comprehend doing a Cathe workout on 4 hours sleep, so I slept the extra hour. I will have to make up for it tomorrow.

Hey ladies! it's soundslike most of you are freezing to death! it's only 56 here. But that's cold enough for me to mow in a ski mask...halarious sight, i assure you! i had a VERY laid back weekend due to several factors. i didn't end up working out on fri or sat. yesterday i managed to do ME upper-split.

Sandra...i'm ok, but my knees were upset with me al weekend. i have C&W planned for today and i am going to do it early whether my knees want to or not. thanks for noticing i was "absent" though. the Family decends on Wed. but Tues. will be spent making gumbo all day at my grandma's house.

hope everyone survives this Monday.

Hey gals, extremely cold here today with negative wind chills.

I took the weekend off thus the reason for me not posting on Sat.

Today I did CTX Kickbox in its entirety. I think this week I will do endurance using the CTX series. Just for a change of pace from strength ,as in heavy, training.:D

Hi Sandra....sounds like you are going on a really nice holiday, good for you!! Well I totally understand where you are coming from because I get more than a little bent out of shape whenever I miss a workout (like yesterdayx( ;( )....I would say bring the workouts along with you, and if you have time then go ahead and have fun with them, if not, don't sweat it and just enjoy some great quality time with your family!! You don't go away everyday and this is a treat so I think you should make having fun a priority:7 :7 :p That's my 2 cents;) :)

Today I think I am going to do IMAX2 and a little L&G, plus KPC abs.........I need to make up for not getting in a workout yesterday!!

Annette..how are you feeling these days?

Haydee, I know what you mean about those biceps in PUB! I always find myself taking a break in between sets because I'm usually ready to just drop those #15s on my feet:eek: !

Ok, i finished getting my ass kicked. i did C&W step portion and BC lower body premix...530 calories! plus, i amnaged to get stung by a bee in between the two...i swear! anyway...back on tracka dn for now knees are feeling fine! i'm off to mow the grass (7 acres) but at least it's not a puch mower!

Today I had planned to do ME, but I didn't feel as though I had the strength to go for it. So, instead I did the step portion of MIC (love that) and abs from S&H.

I'm hoping tomorrows energy level is a bit higher...

I'm chuckling to myself at how we are so geographically spread out. A lot of us in a deep freeze and yet jes has a 7 acre lot to cut and I'm wondering what the temperatures in Toledo Spain are for Mariangeles, I think it's very neat!:)

Today I started with SH Legs (hey! the 2 Laurie's starting the week out the same, what are the chances!!!:) then I did SJP step and abs.

Sandra thanks for asking, Elizabeth has been very good about the situation, a definite sign of maturity. We've had lots of talks about it and she's looking forward to getting more involved in productive things at school like guitar and set design for school plays. MIL is hanging in (she's lovely), the cancer is contained to her cranial bones and her brain is healthy, they are talking about surgery late January, FIL is having hip replacement early February so it very much feels like the calm before the storm. We'll go see them on Wednesday. On another note, I would totally be bringing workout stuff with me on holidays. A few years ago I flew to Calgary with the kids and my brother flew from Vancouver to Calgary and we drove through the mountains together. We were away 10 days and I worked out about 8 of them which is fantastic damage control when vacationing and tempted with yummy food. Have a wonderful time. Where are you skiing?

Lisa...wow....I also hope you can still use the BC tape! I know once I got a video that had a piece of the plastic broke off inside it...I got it out and the tape still worked!

Sandra...2 cups of coffee for me at about 5 AM myself! Love the stuff. I have been rearranging my workout room and came across some old videos, so I did Karen Voights Power Packed workout. It's hi/lo aerobics but moves very fast!! Fun to do somethhing different. There is an ab section I will try later instead of AbRipperX. I hope the vacation is fun...:)..I agree to take some workouts. When I go on vacation I know I can run anywhere so I always get in a workout.

Laurie Mac....I do envy your snow and maybe a white X-mas. I think we will be sunny...yuk...x(

Haydee...I am not sure I have ever done 15lb for the biceps in PUB. My form is crappy at that weight so my max is 13 or 14lbs....:)

Lisa..I wouldn't try a workout on 4 hours myself. Hope the little one has a better night tonight...:)

Jes...stung by a bee!!!! Last time I got stung it was during an 18 mile run. I still had like 4 miles to go. I got stung twice....hurt like h$#@!!

Laurie...things sound a bit better with your daughter. You have so much compassion for your in-laws....you are a very caring person. :+

I drove to work in an ice storm--it was a white knuckle ride, but my blood pressure went down once I got the kids dropped off. I'm always terrified I'll get in a wreck with them in the car.

Its in the single digits in Minnesota- 56 degrees sounds fabulous!

Sandra, what if you rented snowshoes and either also got them for your 4 year old, or pulled her behind you on a saucer/sled? Talk about torching some calories! If you haven't tried snowshoeing, you're in for a cardio treat!

I did CTX step and intervals today. Not too bad, which is good, as I feel I'm fighting a bug off .
