2 weeks on the Abs Diet--update

Woohoo! Great job, girl! I always do extra cardio for my recovery weeks too.... LOL Don't forget Core Synergistics though, it's still a good workout!! Tony is a cutie! ;-)

Maybe it will just take some time for you? Are you still enjoying *forbidden* foods that you couldn't eat on Atkins?? LOL

I've been coming in at about 1700-1800 a day w/all the snacks, so I figure if I cut out 2 of the snacks (I am NOT giving up my after dinner desserts!) I could reduce the cal intake by 400-600. I've gained a pretty fair amount of weight over the last 6 months, and that was while I was on Atkins plus exercising 7-9 times a week pretty intensely. I need to see some results soon or I'll have to do something really drastic!

Thanks for the encouragement, I really need it. Can you sense my frustration?

Laura: I would not be able to survive without an evening treat so I'm with you there! Hahaha. In my opinion, the calories were just too low with the diet's original meal plan so that's why I adjusted mine - so we'll see!! I have about 10 more lbs to go so I'm hoping I can get there with the Abs Diet and the ridiculous amounts of cardio that I do
:p

Jess: I heard Core Synergistics was a good workout (haven't done it yet!!). Yes, I've been skipping the stretch day and yoga and subbing in cardio - I can't help it, I'm a junkie! So, I figure I'll put that workout in there sometime this week. What does it mostly consist of? Thanks and have a great day!

It gets very frustrating when the weight doesnt come off after lowering your calories and eating better. I was following the diabetic diet and after a month I still didnt lose anything. I dont know if it is because I am approaching 40 but I have never followed a great eating plan and I thought if I cut my calories back and ate more mini meals and healthier meals I should lose wt and nothing. I dont know what else to do either. I exercise and it really pisses me off. so I know how ya feel Laura. If you find something that works please share it with me.

Core Syn is hard to describe.... lots of different moves. Different pushups (prison cell pushups, balance pushups, etc) and things like Superman banana rolls, Dreya rolls, etc. It's a good one, make sure you try it out!

And just remember if you're trying to build muscle, cut back a little on the cardio!! ;-)
