This app seems a little less user friendly (to me) than the old version did. I have the Cathe On Demand app on my MacBook Air, and Apple automatically updated it. I've always liked to get on the app and preview my workouts first, look at all the chapters, and all the premixes, the equipment needed, etc. Workouts were easy to pick out because the dvd pictures matched the workouts. As per the new app, some things I've noticed as I did a short look-over: The new app shows generic Cathe workout pics for each of the workouts, instead of pics of the dvds which I personally prefer. The generic pics make it more difficult to pick out a particular workout. (2) In the "Types" lower body category, several lower body workouts are not listed, including Butts & Guts, Slow & Heavy Legs, Gym Style Legs, and others. In the "Types" upper body category, only ONE workout is listed--the LMR2 Bonus upper body workout. In the "Metabolic" category, only LITE Metabolic is shown; ICE Metabolic Total Body is not listed (3) The equipment needed for each workout is now listed in icon form instead of word form. But the odd thing is, is that the icons for the equipment needed in a workout all have a line through them. Usually a line through an icon represents "no" or "not needed", so I am not sure why there is a line through the icons. (4) STS Total Body does not have any premixes listed (for example "lower body only") (5) Regarding chapters. In the old Cathe On Demand app, I could open a workout click on the upper left side and was easily able to view and scroll through all the chapters at once to see what the workout entailed and which chapters I might want to skip etc. With the new app, I have to click on one chapter at a time/move forward one chapter at a time within the workout itself. Not only is this more time consuming, I can no longer see a list of the chapters in one glance. I can only see them one at a time...I have only been on the app for about 20 minutes, but these are the things I've observed so far.

I like to stick with what I am used to and know what to do........and don't really use rotations, etc., like alot of
people do, so the older version works just fine for me! the new app does look nice.......but as the old
saying goes, "it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks!" :)

Hi allemmania,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your feedback! Like with any new app, there’s a bit of a learning curve, so we really appreciate you taking the time to explore and ask questions. Let me walk you through a few of the things you mentioned:

Equipment Icons
You mentioned seeing a line through some of the equipment icons. This simply means that the equipment isn’t marked as available in your settings. If you go to Settings > Equipment I Have, you can check off the gear you own. This helps the app show you which workouts use equipment you already have — and even lets you search for workouts based on what’s available to you.

Chapter Menu
You can still access chapters, it just looks a little different now. Instead of the hamburger icon that used to be in the upper left corner, you’ll now tap the chapter name at the top right of the player. This opens a dropdown list with all the chapters for that workout. You can also use the scrub bar along the bottom to jump around.

STS Total Body Premixes
Good catch — these are currently missing, and we’re already working on getting them fixed. Thanks for letting us know!

DVD Covers
We’ve moved away from using DVD covers to keep things clean and consistent with a modern streaming experience. Many DVDs (like 4 Day Split) used the same cover for multiple workouts, which sometimes caused confusion between strength and cardio routines. This new format makes it easier to see exactly what each workout includes.

Workout Types
You’re right — there are a few errors in how some workouts are categorized. Some of these came over from the old system, while others popped up during the database migration. We’re aware and working on correcting them soon.

Thanks again for your helpful feedback and for being part of the Cathe community. Your input really helps us make the app better for everyone!

Warm regards,
The Cathe Team
