1st cathe workout tape

Muscle Max

I bought that DVD after finally getting bored with my Jane Fonda weight workout VHS tape (which I used for 5 years).
I did Muscle Max twice a week FOR THREE YEARS before I bought another DVD. I guess you could say my life was too busy then to get bored with my workout -I was just happy to squeeze those workouts in!

I still love MM, but in the past few years I have bought most of Cathe's DVDs. I guess you could say I'm at a different stage of life now.

I do think for somebody with experience and knowledge of good form, MM is a great first introduction to Cathe. ( I wouldn't get it for somebody with no prior weight training instruction though. That's why they call these workouts Advanced.)

Low Impact Circuit and Body Max 2 were my first purchase in 2005. I knew about Cathe for years prior, but was scared to try her! I was so mad at myself for waiting so long after I finally tried LIC and BM2! I missed out for a long time. Now I own all but the earliest few workouts. Can't imagine life without Cathe!

My first was 4 of VHS's from the CTX series! Someone had them individually for sale on ebay and I won 4 of the 6 and the seller threw in MIS for free! I was hooked right away. I pre-ordered the Intensity series on VHS and have since replaced them all with DVD's. I have every DVD she has put out and excited to preorder this next series!

Cross Train Express

Mine was cross train express on VHS - I took got mine off of Ebay. I had only done FIRM, Kari Anderson and Kathy Smith up to that point. I thought they were the hardest thing I'd ever done at the time. I loved them and have been hooked ever since. Except for some of her early stuff, I think I have just about every Cathe DVD/VHS she's done.

I like this workout, lots of variety, it goes fast. It's fun, you don't dread doing it, but feels like you have really worked. Lots of options in the premixes when time is short. I'll use this one often.

Mine was the series that included Gym Styles. 10 DVDs. That was 2004, I believe. Now I've got too many Cathe discs - they're pretty much all I use. I should be in MUCH better shape for the volume of discs and equipment I have. In my 20s I was Miss Consistency, now in my 40s I struggle with consistency. sigh :(

I think it was All Step? It's whatever came with the munchkin size green home step and I got that in maybe 2000 or so.

I had a few Kathy Smiths and that one Denise Austin that made me homicidal and I thought I'd try adding a step to those workouts to give SOME kind of intensity - but once I popped Cathe's tape into the player....no turning back!

Happy to say that yesterday I did my first w/o on the big club step...only took 12 years to get it! :p
