1RM Testing And Fatigue

I'm doing the Circuit City rotation (September '07 I think) this month and tried to tack on the 1RM testing to the end of the workouts. That got too time consuming so I cut back to just 40 minutes cardio and the 1RM testing. I'm still wiped out and not too motivated to finish. I did most of the 3- 5 star exercises, and was hoping to start a 6 month STS cycle on Monday. Now that looks like that won't happen and I might wait till the first week of May. Maybe next week will be an active recovery or rest week. Any suggestions?

Also, how do you do a 1RM for an exercise like 21s? Do you repeat each cycle of 21s 10 times, or do you find a weight you can complete the cycle once with good form?

Just an update. I sucked up the fatigue and knocked out the remaining exercises in one shot. As for the exercises like the 21s and 3/1 pulses, I just used a weight that fatigued me at the end of the set/ cycle. I will be starting STS tomorrow as I planned. Best wishes.

Good luck with your rotation! You'll love STS and be glad you did the 1RM testing once you get going. Things move very quickly in Meso 1, but you'll get used to it, especially since you're doing the 6-month rotation and will feel more comfortable the second time through each workout.
