1RM question

Hello! I just recieved STS yesterday and have been reading the booklet. I had a few questions about 1RM that I havent seemed to find answers to. Alternating exercise (like Alternating Seated Overhead Shoulder Press) I;m a little confused about. Say I did 10 presses on the left and 10 on the right ( a total of 20 reps). are the number of reps considered 10 or 20? I thought 10, but Im not sure.

Also, when you are doing an exercise holding 2 weights ( say two 20 lb dumbells), but you are only working one body part (like Front Lunge Same leg) is the weight cosidered 20lbs or 40 lbs?

Now lets say I used two 15lb dumbells in both arms for biceps. That weight would be considered 15 lb right?

Thanks!!!
Shannon

1RM Calculator.

For an alternating exercise where you do 10 reps per side you would enter 10 reps into the 1RM calculator, not 20.

For an exercise where you use two dumbbells, just enter the weight of one dumbbell into the 1RM calculator.
