Good Morning,

I will be doing Kickbox Cardio only plus CK Power Drills tonight.

Had a visitor last night while doing my workout in the basement. A fuzzy caterpillar was invaiding my exercise space. I didn't want to step on it, so I placed it outside. Going to have to investigate how it made it into the basement. Usually you don't see them around our area at this time of the year. Hope it will be ok in the 16 deg (-9 deg C) temp we had last night.

Hey everyone! i am going to do Allstep today and abs since my arms were too fried to do them yesterday. i am anxious to see how many calories my heart monitor says this one burns. }( check in later!

Hello

This morning for me was KPC and guess what, I did something I was never able to achieve and that was "pikes":p :p . At one time I could barely bring my knees inx( x( , but this morning I was able to do four pikes on the ball:p :p although they were not four in a row, but I felt proud b/c I hung in there to get the four. Who knows maybe one day I will be able to do it in its entirety:D :D .

Morning all! Missed you all yesterday, but my DH and I volunteered at the Salvation Army handing out the Christmas Angel gifts to the families so I wasn't at work. I did IMAX 2 yesterday after I got home. The baby was still at daycare, and since I normally work out while she is still sleeping in the morning and have to keep the volume down so low, I kicked it up yesterday. It was amazing to me all the stuff I had missed having the TV turned down. Not only is it more motivating to have the music pumping, but I noticed that I had missed a lot of funny comments that Cathe makes during that workout.
Today it was back to 5:00 in the morning doing PLB. I went up in ALL my weight! I am probably going to be in some serious pain tomorrow. I wanted to do cardio too, but my legs were so fried that I knew my legs wouldn't survive.

Mariangeles - Holy crap girl! That workout would kill me!!! You are some kind of superwoman! Way to go!!!

Good morning!

Today I did IMAX2 Blast Mania, followed by SH Biceps & Back. Blast Mania was terrific!!! Now THAT is how I remember intervals feeling when I was doing fitness swimming, and running. Laurie, I can't believe you tacked all that other stuff onto that workout the other day. You are bionic!

Glad SH is over with for a another few weeks. Love the workouts, but tired of all the time they take.

The rest of you are working so hard!!! Wow! Good work!

Hi everyone,

Today is 1/2 L&G followed by IMAX2 blast mania.......I've never done blast mania before so this should be pretty interesting, I just hope I can make it up the basement steps because my legs are already sore}( x(!!

Mariangeles....WOW, you must truly be the bionic woman :7 :eek: !!! That is one heck of an insane workout.....you go girl:) !!

Katie, doesn't it feel so awesome when you can finally go up in weights?? Good for you!!!

Haydee, way to go on those pikes:7 :7 !! That is such an accomplishment as they really are so killer}( :D!!

Hey ladies! i am done! i did allstep and abs from SJP. Haydee, today was my first acomlishment of pikes( and plank) too! congrats! i didn't make it all the way for every one though. the ones where you hold yourself up on one arm and put the other one in the air......i fell flat on my face after 2! but, 2 is better than none!!!!! So then i did the warm up from BC cardio b/c i needed to burn some more cals so i ended up burning a total of 350 not including abs. my heart rate is higher than my max target zone in allstep, so i pant the whole way through.

Blast mania i great huh? i love it!

great workouts and katie, good for you for doing volunteer work!

Re: the pikes, I nearly gave up on the first try, but I said to myself this is what it's all about a "challenge" and a challenge is what I like.


Jes let's keep each other informed when we have done "PIKES" in its entirety. This also goes for anyone else here who could never accomplish this move.

Hi all, I did PLB and abs from MIS today. Boy, leg workouts just rake on me big time. I almost quit a couple of times. I really really like the Pyramids so I don't know what is wrong with me. And I am actually doing a different rotation this week too. sigh.:( Maybe I am just tired and stressed out with the holidays and all. Plus my boys won't clean for me and I really need them too. We haven't begun Christmas shopping yet!!:+ :( So again maybe it is stress.

Haydee, great job on the pikes I still can't do them and I gave up trying.:-(

I will be spinning today. I don't feel very motivated to do anything.
I need a new goal. I did my marathon almost 2 weeks ago and now I have nothing to look forward to. I need to get my marathon guide for next year and sign up for something.

There is only one answer and that is yes. How inspiraiting. Jes stay with your great work and you will get all what you want,350 calories burned without the abs of KPC is a great number.Lauriemac great workout. I have to try this.Sandra I have to try blast mania . S & H is great but this slow and concentrated manner leaves you without energy.In the other side, you only work one or two mucles each day. Haydee well said. You can do 4 pikes. I am envious. I still trying but I can get them. You have 4. You will be doing all the pikes soon. Thank you Katie as you can see I still alive.Itis great work as a volunteer. Sandy great workout. My workout is a insane workout for a Cathe's addicted. .Josie you have something to look foward. AS I always say we have to be prepared for the HARDCORE SERIES.Hi Annette don't you think that the hamstring and glutes raisers with the stability ball are very difficult to do?.I can stabilize the ball with one leg straigh up. Hi again,

I haven't done any more exercise today, so nothing new to report. Just wanted to chime in and say a few things, since I've got a bit of time again.

Haydee - awesome job on the pikes!! I find the most difficult part (and all parts are difficult!) of that stability ball work is in my arms - they're shakin' like a chihuahua by time I get through those pikes! When I do the PUB pikes I have to take a break between the bent-knee roll-ins and the pikes, because my poor arms can't take it anymore.

Laurie Mac - awwwwww. Poor caterpillar was probably looking for some place warm! Those are some chilly temps you're having. Where do you live? Putting the CK power drills after Kickbox is a terrific idea! I may try that some time.

Katie - kudos to you for being so generous with your time and helping out at the Sally Ann. I hear you about the volume of music. I went from working out at 7:30am to working out at 5:30am, and consequently have to keep my music softer now. It took me a few weeks to get used to the quieter music, and I still itch to use the "music louder" option on the BB workouts. I prefer to have the music up loud enough that I don't hear my feet clunking on the step, or so I can hear Cathe's voice over the blood pounding through my brain and my laboured breathing. Oh well, you do what you have to do, right?

Mariángeles - as everyone has already said, you have some serious cardio stamina. Wow! I'm surprised that you haven't tried Blast Mania yet. I think you would really like it. Oh, and a few days ago you mentioned how much you liked the moves in Step Max. Do you have Power Max? And Step Works? They both are very, very similar to Step Max. You might really like them!

Sandy - I liked the Blast Mania; it went by really, really fast. I look forward to hearing how you like it.

Jes - what are you referring to as "pikes"? SJP doesn't have stability ball pikes. It's got all those murderous planks, though. That core work is one of her most challenging, IMO. High-five for getting through those! A hint on those one-arm raise planks: keep your feet separated a bit; it helps you balance better.

Josie - do you spin at home, or a gym? In the winter my hubby spins on his racing bike, attached to a trainer. He uses some of the Spinerval dvds; do you do those? They seem very intense. Since you obviously run and cycle, do you also swim? Ever do a triathalon?

Annette - PLB is a kicker, that's for sure. All those leg presses right off the top can really sap your energy for the rest of the workout.

Yea! Sandra is back! I meant planks for SJP and they are terrible, but i have other workouts with the pikes and ugh i don't even want to talk about them!x( Until i build up some chest muscel it's just hard to hold myself up at all! I just finished ANOTHER workout b/c i wanted to burn up some more calories, so i did 1/2 of Christie Taylor's totally cool step and my total calories burned now today (by workouts) is 590. i had to do some low impact cardio after allstep today. OUCH! i gotta get some padded inserts for all this jumping.

i have earned a hot soak :9

Annette...don't give up on the pikes...you'll get it!!

Sandra had a good idea about the triathalons....my husband use to do them and he loved it!! Funny, he is such a litte "jock", he got so mad one time because a woman beat him who was about ten years older than he. It was soooooo funny!! Anyway, it's great competition and great fun.

I haven't started any shopping either. I'm going to do it the 'fun' way and go on this last sat before Christmas!!
