Good Morning challengers!

Today is my back on track day as I kinda went off agian last evening! i ate great for most of the day! I had 6chicken wings with fries for supper. The weekends are just so hard for me...saturday is my free/cheat day so no problemo there but sunday seems to be the hardest day?

Its frustrating to go off track, even if it was just for one meal(also had some donut holes x( and shouldn't have bought them, hadn't bought them in a while but caved in yesterday) I cant whine about it now,its happend and its over and today is a new day! Hopefully that two pds loss last week won't come back :-(

And the worst thing about is my DH said"your gonna regret buying those(donut holes)" as I was putting them into the buggy! I wanted to throw them at him }( and he was eating those potatoe wedge things(as he was speaking)that they sell at the walmart deli area ! *rolls eyes* MEN!!! He desides he wants to start working out on the tread mill so he sarts walking and jogging last week and he drops over 8pds in one week! And never even thinks about what he puts in his mouth? Now THAT is frustrating-here I am writing in my food journal, measuring, making sure I eat every two-three hours, drinking my water, basically watching everything that goes in my mouth and working out six days a week and barely making the scale move(but it is moving so can't complain too much;-))! While he just 'decides' that its time for him to lose weight! Hes got 20 more pds to go and he will be done(and please don't miss understand me,Im thrilled that he is losing weight and working out;-))

ok vent is done;-)

I will also add a HIIT today to my UB workout! Im thinking powerwalk/jogging intervals and PUB! I think that will make me feel better!

So what workout is every body doing today!

Good Morning Girls!

I am bound and determined to get the scale back down this week. SO my challenges for this week is super healthy eating and no eating before bed. I know that that will do the trick!

Todays workout is gonna be BM2 and some sort of full body workout. Maybe PH or ME. Im looking forward to something other then running. And Im thinking tomorrows workout will be a looooong run, maybe 10-11 miles. We will see what my energy level is like!

Kath** I read your post last night about peoples comments and I have been there! Alot lately! People are pretty good now b/c I have maintained this weight (not gone any lower) for a few monthes. My MIL was the absolute worst! The comments she would make were rediculous and when she would come over for supper she would always notice how much food I ate. She was here one night when I was getting ready to go out with the girls and I heard her say to my FIl "I can't wait for her to get pregnant again so she will eat sensible" My blood pressure must have went up on BUST! I heard DH picking up for me. She finally gave up her comments AND as admitted to being jealous. So most negative comments are from people who are jealous...without a doubt in my mind!

Ameila** Also wanted to comment on the dount holes. I made some peanut butter brownies the other night and of course I am the only one in the house who will eat them. Anyway...I fed them to my pet crows yesterday!LOL My crow only started out at 1 and now there are 5 of them! LOL Apparently they travel in 5-6. One day I looked out and there were 2 on the patio, 2 on the phone wires and 1 in the trees! hehe But they haven't touched my garbage in monthes! If all it takes is a few cookies I shouldn't be eating and some dried up bread...I'd say eat it! So give your dounts to the crows~

Alrighty...gone again! I will be back later!
Lori:)

Roxie – Where are you from that you say “pop”? I grew up calling it pop and my DH thinks that’s so funny.

Becca – Yay for the skinny jeans! :) Congrats on being halfway to your goal!

Heather – DON’T QUIT! Take a break from the heavy weights and do something else but don’t quit. It sounds like your body needs a break so why don’t you pull out your favorite workouts and do those this week instead.

Amelia - I agree - Sundays are hard. Maybe it's because I start thinking about the week ahead and make sure the kids are ready for Monday (ie. homework done, baths, lunches made). I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday because we had an open bag of chips in the house (dangerous thing) and no desserts for kids' lunches and wouldn't you know I cave and ate 4 of them! Ugh! Maybe I need to find some crows in my neighborhood. . .

Lori - I don't get the comments on my weight since I have some to lose but your story made me think of another one - not eating related but exercise. My sister and I were staying at the same hotel and I decided to go down and use the treadmill. After awhile my sister who was apparently bored came down to watch me. She told someone later that I was "killing myself" on the treadmill! LOL I laughed it off because I know my sister has never jogged a day in her life and the only time she sweats is during the summer.

Better get going for work. Did PUB this morning. Have a good day all!

Sue

Congrats to those who are losing!!!

Favor please....
Can you please post a typical day of eating and what your week of workouts look like?

I feel like my diet and workouts have been really good, but could be better (tightened up). 2 months till my cruise and I don't want to look back and think I didn't work it hard enough.:)

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. SUPER SUPER SUPER quick post. We're running WAY late in this house today, and that's very unusual. I promise to read and respond to all your posts later today or tonight! PROMISE!

Weekend was fantastic. But I'm tired. SO and I had some great alone kid-free time from about 5pm Saturday till about 11am Sunday and it was relaxing and so much needed (on my part, at least).

All the Birthday celebrating is OVER!

Had a few kid issues this weekend. Older DS and his friend ended up googling a few 'fun' things and they ended up looking at topless women! ACK! It started out innocently but one thing led to another. Then younger DS called older DS an A--hole! lol I had to laugh on BOTH issues, but both needed to be handled and punished accordingly! SHEEESH! NEver boring.

Me.....looking at KICKING THE NEXT 6 WEEKS IN THE REAR, ladies! I overslept this morning, as the power went out last night due to high winds (very unusual for that to happen here, but once in a while we lose our grid). So, for me...it's off to school early to help 1st grade celebrate the 100th day of school today. Then work, then home for PLB HEAVY! Then I've got the cable guy coming. I promise once he's gone and things settle, I'll get back online!

Tootle-oooo!

Gayle

Good Morning,

The scale is staying the same since I started this challenge I don't know what to do. Iam going to have to leave work and hour early to exercise because Iam going to attend a Mary Kay Glamour night, with my consultant. On tap timesaver blast #4 kickboxing.

Sue-Iam from Kansas Pop is the correct term in my book.

Brkfst-boiled egg, grapefruit, and special k waffle
AM snack-yogurt and banana
Lunch-baked ham an augratin potatoes, peas
PM snack-cheese and apple
Supper-low fat casserole

Don't know what they are serving at this party so I need to drink water before I go. I have already had 4 glasses.

Agreed. ;) I'm from Wisconsin (Madison area) so it must be a Midwest thing.

Good morning all!

I have 40 min itread on tap for today. Eating so far has been not so good. DH made breakfast casserole this am and it wasn't exactly BFL. That crescent roll crust really isn't the best. Oh well, moving on to do better.

Gayle, so sorry I missed the opportunity to wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :+ Ahh, the joys of raising boys. How old is oldest DS? My oldest is 10 and I worry about him starting to check out chicks online. He hasn't had much interest in girls at all, but I'm sure it will start soon.

Forever39, Where are you cruising to? We just took a cruise to Hawaii in November and it was fabulous! FYI, Here is what I ate yesterday: #1 Cottage Cheese, #2 Spicy beef burrito with low carb torilla and lettuce, low fat cheese, low fat sour cream and salsa, #3 protein shake (OJ and Designer whey), #4 Natural peanut butter and all fruit spread on whole wheat bread (1 slice), #4 1/2 two Dove chocolates, #5 Protein shake. Yesterday was a weird day and I wasn't really hungry so I added the protein to keep my metabolism going. I didn't get in enough water so my weight was up a bit today. My plans for today are (recovery from above stated breakfast casserol) veggie burger for lunch, protein shake this afternoon, taco salad for dinner and then I will probably have another shake before I go to bed. For workouts, I am currently following Cathe's intermediate rotation from March 06.

Sue, I am from Ohio and it's pop here. DH is from Oklahoma and he calls it soda, so I am raising 4 kiddos who call it soda. People look at you funny in these parts when you talk like that. ;)

Amelia, it is totally not fair that men can lose weight by just "thinking" about it. Very frustrating. I am glad to hear that your DH is working out. That is awesome. I keep telling my DH if he would work out as much as I do, he probably would have lost about 50 lbs by now!

Lori, again, jaw drop at your workouts. Absolutely amazing. It's definitely paying off for you though. Enjoy your heavy lifting this week. I think the weights have definitely made a difference for me. I am even thinkig about STS, just can't justify spending the money right now.

Roxie, have fun tonight at the MK party. Sorry your scale isn't being kind to you. I hope that it moves in the right direction for you soon.

That's all I have time for now. Have a great day all and I will try to BBL!

Good morning Girls !!!!

Brrrrr it's a cold one in NY. Did I mention I can't wait for spring? :)

I am here to report I did 10miles this morning. I wasn't so sure I could do it--- but my legs proved me wrong :) :) :) I did shoulders to ME and PUB and also worked the abs at the gym with the trainer helping me with some medicine ball stuff.

I need to get a shower and run to grocery store for some veggies--then post office. I would rather stay inside on a day like this-- but a girl has to do what a girl has to do.

Lori: I hear ya hon. I can relate to the MIL issue as well. I don't understand why people are like.

I'm sure I may be back about lunch time.

Good morning (at least it still is here LOL)! I've decided that I'm REALLY good @ maintaining my weight. It's all about calories in/calories out. I just like to eat around 1700 or so, which makes me maintain. Trying to work through that right now and get back on track. Although - I have lost 40lb since I first joined WW so if I don't move much more I'm still WAY ahead.

OK - did 2 circuits from LIC this morning. I love that WO, but don't do it much b/c I frequently run out of time and can't do the whole thing. How dumb is that? Nothing wrong w/ doing PART of the WO. I think I'll try that same idea w/ a few other faves this week. Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. I might do yoga & CoreMax 2 tomorrow morning and then a 20min iClimb in the evening. We'll see.

Anyway, really busy here today so I need to scoot. I'll try to "pop" back later (it's "soda here in NM, but I grew up w/ "pop" since my Dad was from Iowa).

Have a great day everyone!

Andrea: I agree with you it's not only what you put in your mouth but what you do to burn off a few calories. It all kinda goes hand in hand.

I know everyone is different on how they handle their diet. For me --I've never been one to count calories. I can't be a slave to that nor the scale. I do make sure I eat a protein at every meal/snack . I think what has worked for me since January is making sure I eat my 6 meals. Of course I did toss the Kettle chips out of the house. If those things are not in here-- I won't be tempted. If my DH wants some-- I told him "Go ahead buy them.." I guess he didn't like that idea-- LOL.

As for the exercise. What I find that is working for me is --I am part of a training schedule. I am being held accountable to my goal. And I'm surprising myself !! I KNEW all along I could achieve this goal of being able to run faster and longer distances. I just was settlin before. This time around --I will not :) :) :)

Besides-- this is for YOU right? WE are all in this challenge together but the reason we all sit here every day and type out our workouts-- is for US. We all lean on each other-- offer support and praise each other when we reach a goal.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon :) :) :)

Just a quickie for a few things.

Kath-AMEN, girl! Very well said!

Becca-my older DS is 10 and younger is 7. My friend was horrified when she busted them and was afraid to tell me it happened, but we both got a good laugh out of it, especially when they started pointing fingers at each other! LOL "He typed this first, but then HE typed THIS next". LOL

I wanted to post that PLB is DONE! ALl of it! I used 42.5/52.5/62.5 and back down again. I'll be feeling those weights in DOMS tomorrow, I'm sure! LOL

Have an awesome afternoon! The cable guy will be here shortly, so my cable modem will most likely be down for a while!

Gayle

Hi everyone.

Roxie : I am so with you! Each week I think I con myself, one week I vent and get fed up the next week I say "the health benefits are worht it, so what if you don't loose weight?" I say these things to myself and I have posted similar. I think I sound like some sort of mad woman my views anad thoughts change so often. But I would like the scales to shift in the "down" direction.
Thats the truth, my honest feelings. But I do feel really healthy and I am glad for that too.

I've started this new rotation this week and Lori suggested I continue with the weight work 2 -3 times a week.

Lori : I am going to try your suggestion 2-3- weight work including the cardio and see how it goes.

Amelia : You have done so well with your weight loss, I so admire that!

Gayle : Boys! I remember when my brothers discovered girls! Oh Boy! They looked at boobs, in those magazines, I was looking right along there with them. It was fascinating! LOL I think we were abit older though, teenagers. I don't remember what mum did, I think she ignored the whole thing!

Gotto go and get the childs ready for school

have a great day.

Andrea

Andrea-Good luck with your new rotation! I also lift 3times a week(and thats enough for me)

Gayle-LOL at your son calling your other son a A-hole! yesterday my son (who is two) discovered that he gets a reaction out of his mommy with the word sh*t!lol I don't know where he gets that http://www.southbeachfriends.net/forum/images/smilies/whistling.gif

Hey to everybody else!

Im done with my workout-did PUB and went heavier on my shoulders and back...but can't go yet on my bic's,tric's and chest!x( I also did a 25min HIIT on the TM!(thanks to the chicken wings yesterday!

so todays meals are:
#1-1/2 c egg beaters and 1 slice whole wheat toast(WW)
#2-protien shake with 1tbs NPB
#3-turkey sandwich with veggies on top and dill pickle
#4-string cheese, and a orange
#5-buffalo chicken mac(recipe from Rachel ray,gonna try it)looks bfl friendly!and a side salad
#6-not sure yet!

Good afternoon here for me, probably evening for many of you;-)

Thought I had posted yesterday but guess I only read and after "browsing a bit" ended up going outside in the 70 degree weather. Felt sooo nice since it hasn't even made the 60's here lately. AND I KNOW so many of you have been freezing so I am not complaining, just happy to be full of Vitamin D which does wonders for me:7

Like a few of you, haven't budged the scale much so have started the Fat Flush plan again for a week or two. I'm thinking I may have to add a few calories since it is under 1200 and I don't have enough energy to WO on that amount. Also will try doing an extra half hour cardio (hopefully in the AM) to get a jumpstart. Tried a "performance" program on the TM and actually made it up to 6.5/hr - I typically do a jog at 5 so it was kinda fun. Did it again this AM. We'll see how far I get with this plan.

Need to finish eating my lunch so will BBL for more . . .
