Good Morning Girls,

You know I am glad we didn't wait for a Mon to start..imagine we are on Day 5 all ready!:)

Yesterday I did really well again.At work we have ice cream and cookies, before this challenge I use to take the cookies, throw out the cookie part and just eat the chocolate chunks! LOL And yesterday around 5:30, I got this awful craving to do it.It wasn't a very nice feeling and I can only imagine what people who use to smoke feel like! Anyway, I didn't give in.:)

Then we went to my MIL's for dinner, where they had pork chops,potatoe,carrots,green beans and bread.I loaded my plate with carrots and green beans so no one noticed that I didn't have much of the potatoe or bread.Then she hauls the dessert out of the fridge.I told them I wasn't having any but she kept talking about how she made it for me and there wasn't anything bad in it, so I said, "well,Ill have to taste it" And I only tasted one tsp full.That was pretty good hey?

So today is a run,UB and abs.I am also taking the dogs for a walk after lunch.I am really hoping I will start TTOM soon b/c this is the 27th day and I don't want to be heavily into it when I weigh on Thursday morning.

Lori- Looks like you did well, I did too but that was because I had you all on my mind!

Workout For Today
Cardio Kicks and abs - done 296 calories hrm 110 ave/136 max (I already changed my plan)
I just felt like doing this one this morning but was quite disappointed that I had a really hard time getting my Heart rate up! This was my first Cathe and it used to kick my booty - but today it was a little too easy and I was trying to work VERY Hard!

Food For Yesterday
B - oatmeal, protein powder, orange
S - oatmeal and egg whites
L - shrimp salad with lettuce tomato and cucumber, slice whole wheat
S - chicken breast, broccoli
D - chicken breast tomato, spinach - my treat - strawberry shortcake
Even with the Strawberry Shortcake I did not go over my calories!

I was on target yesterday with my water and I checked off everything on our rules list and it was good!

I enjoyed meeting you that posted on the "get to know you thread" yesterday, that was nice!

I have my food all packed and ready to go - I feel great this morning! Have a great day ladies!!!

Great job both of you! Woo! :)

Well I managed not to eat again after I posted my 6 meals last night which is surprising for me during PMS but I did it!:+ :D :+

Today I am going to the gym...I have CTX U/B on the schedule but would like to finally use the weight machines at the gym so I'm going to do a few exercises for each body part there instead using moderate weight and high reps since CTX is an endurance work out. This should be fun since I haven't TOUCHED a weight machine there as of yet so I am clueless when it comes to them!!!:eek: :p I also have abs from ALL STEP and POWER HOUR to do either before I go or when I get home. No cardio on tap but that doesn't mean I won't throw some in possibly!;)

Hopefully my eating will go as well as it did yesterday...I know dinner won't be as good though b/c I'll be cooking and that just doesn't end up as low fat as I'd usually like (or else DH won't eat it!:p) but I don't sweat it. I try not to eat a lot and will have a healthier snack later instead if I'm still hungry.:9

Good morning, ladies! It sounds like you all have been doing very well with the eating side of this challenge. That's awesome! Add me to that list as well! WOOHOO! Finished my week 1 last night with no splurges, cheat meals or anything 'bad'. FEELING GREAT!

This morning was a 3 mile run plus chest, back, tris and abs from MIS. I sort of have to break my weight work down this week because I need to taper my runs for the half marathon. Tomorrow will be another short run with the rest of MIS.

I love reading about everybody over at the intro page of the Challengers. So interesting!

Wendy,I would love to be a fly on the wall while you are trying to use those machines! LOL I wouldn't have a clue either but sometimes I wonder if I should spend a little time in the gym.I like getting my workout over with though and around here, the gym is a place for social gatherings!

Kathy, I always stay under my cals as well.I am trying not to go over 1500 and Im not very hungry.I am hungry by the time my meal rolls around though.I am hoping tonight will be o.k b/c I am going for a run today, which always makes me hungier and I am working tonight so I will be up late.

Do any of you use Sparkspeople.com right now? I am still using it, and journaling my food intake myself.I am on target with everything except my carbs, they are always under, do you think this is a good thing or bad thing?

Edited to say good morning to Gayle! Congrats on finshing your first week on top! Great feeling isn't it?

Lori,

Eating lower carbs than planned is probably a good thing so long as you are not feeling like you are starving! I need my carbs or else I just don't feel satisfied.}(

As far as the gym being a social gathering...I don't know anyone there and I'm not the type who makes friends easily so I'm not worried. I go there, do my thing and get out! LOL The only people I really talk to are the "babysitters" cause they are always drooling over Joey.:+
 
I'm up and running now. Well no running yet!!!!!.

Good Morning girls!!!

Today begin week three of my homemade rotation of slow and heavy. I'm doing chest and back today including the plank work and then 20 min of yoga. The up and running part will come at lunch where I hope to pop on the treamill for 30 min. If I don't that is ok becauce I got a run on my schedule for tomorrow. My water was really good yesterday as well as the food. My dh and kids had ice cream last night and I even pasted that up except for a bite. It was called Moosetracks ice cream and it was just heaven in that one tiny bite. My dh said make me a bowl and I gave him this bowl of ice cream that would feed three people just to get rid of it. He said " Who the hell is going to eat all of this" I said not me, you are to get it out of my house. So he did and now there is only a little left. Just enough for the girls for dessert after dinner. Now I know I can't have any or there won't be any left for all three of them.

So far Breakfast is-oatmeal-small banana - and scoop of protein powder.

Lori- great job on the food yesterday. I use Fit day instead of sparks because i like how they show me the break down of fat. Sat/poly/mono in grams

Kathy- Keep going were right here in it together. It was fun getting to know all of you

Gayle- I can't wait to here the results of you run that is up and coming. I have to agree I feel much better this week after working so hard with all of you then I did last Monday.

Tigger- have a great day at the gym. sometime it feels good just to change it up and get out of the house. Doesn't it!!

Are you saying that you are a snob? Oh wendy..I never pictured it! LOL . No, this is a small town so if I go to a gym, I will be bound to seee someone I know.

This is what I had yesterday, I am trying to get more protein in so you wouldn't think I would be starving and Im not, but I do get a little hungry.I think it will pass when week 2 rolls around.

M1-1 egg,2 egg white,ww english muffin/w jam (9:00), 300 cals
M2-Ck breast,kasier bun,tomatoe,mayo (1:00) (300 cals)
M3-BFL Bar, orange (4:00) (280)
M4-Pork Chop,1/2 potatoe,1 cup of veggies,2 tbsp of macaroni salad (7:00) Around 500 cals)

And no workout yesterday. I need to get another meal in there though.I just didn't want to go over my cals.

Karen, that funny! That is something like I would do.Even though I know he wouldn't eat it all, I would still give it to him cause then he would just throw the rest in the garbage! LOL

Karen, that's a great story about the icecream! Good for you! :)

Lori, snob I am not...shy, for certain!:) It doesn't help the fact that as a rule I don't like people! LOLOL I mean, I just am not fond of the majority of people. There are those I like but lots of people just rub me the wrong way. I guess I'm picky in that arena.:p ... Does that make me a snob??? :eek:
 
Karen-that's funny! I like to tell myself that I need to safe the 'other' stuff for my boys too...anything that helps.

Wendy-NO, that does not make you a snob....surround yourself with positive and good people and that's what you'll stay! My theory, anyway! LOL

All your talk about carbs and protein. Last week I was trying to slowly increase my protein. This week, though, I'll be carb-loading for the weekend. Later today I'm going to post a recipe that I made this weekend that was just DELISH....Summer Squash and Onion Frittata! YUMMY!

OK...we all konw how weird our bodies are at times, right? And how it can hang onto the weight and the water when we don't do the 'right' things? Well, last Sunday I weighed on the scale at 147! ACK!!!! BUT, that was after a whole week-long binge. I weighed in on Friday at WW and scaled in at 136.8! LOL. Had me laughing. See what a difference a week of water intake, exercise and clean eating can do for ya? LOL

That's insane the way your weight fluctuated like that! I've seen weight fluctuations that were pretty insane but NOTHING like that! HOLY COW! LOL

Wendy-my body hangs onto water like there is NO TOMORROW when I don't eat or drink right. I have to keep in mind, though, that the weight of 147 was the day immediately after a 7 day binge of eating everything in sight! No workouts for 4 days. And a lack of water to dry out a dessert! It's all relative, sometimes!

Gotta go...I'm gonna be late.

Good morning everyone:

Sounds like everyone is off to a great first week start. I survived my weekend at the waterpark, did my walks and did VERY GOOD on my eating. The scale was the same this morning so I was happy with that. I didn't quite make the 10,000 steps on Saturday all that driving didn't leave me much time, but otherwise every day I've walked over 10,000 steps. I've picked out the 1/2 marathon I'm going to be training for and I am working on a schedule/rotation to get moving on that today.

I have four meetings throughout the day today that will keep me here until probably 11pm tonight - UGH! These are the days that I REALLY struggle, I'm sure I will be back many times for support. I get very stressed on days like today so I eat everything in sight, but that will not be the case today - I have all of you and a challenge to contend with, so I'm GOING TO BE GOOD!!!

Good Morning Go Getters!!!

My eating was off this weekend. Didn't eat as much as I should have yesterday cuz I was mowing and running around here and there too much. Ran 6 miles yesterday, in the rain. Threw in some intervals and did a high jog at random moments. Worked chest/back.

Today I will work abs really good and then ride my bike into town with my son. My knees are achy from the run so I need a low impact workout today. I don't know what I did to my left shoulder, but it hurts like the dickens. I sleep on them wrong and so it aches for awhile and then usually goes away in a few months. This time it really hurts though. Maybe I should try sleeping in the recliner?

Holy Crap Gayle. I wish my body did that. Good job you getting back on track. It's like when the Biggest Loser People lose so much in two weeks. I think if I lost that kind of weight in one week the sky would fall. Probably on top of me and then I couldn't brag about it. LOL

Tigger!!!! I got three little girls over here that could wake Joey up in one breath. As a matter of fact they are in there room fighting about how to make there bed. Apparently according to them there is more than one way to pull up the stinking sheet.

today's workout: ran 3miles and did 20mins of TEAR it up. I'm gonna finish up the rest this afternoon hopefully!

My eating was CRAP this weekend! I'm getting OFF that wagon and getting on the EATING CLEAN wagon starting right now. I normally drink about 92oz of water a day....today will be at least 100 to flush out all this JUNK! LOL...
