Hi,

I personally don't like to use soap but like to use shower gel. I found I couldn't afford my demand for even inexpensive shower gel and decided to start using Suave shampoo its way more economical and easy to find. The Suave shower gel is what I was using before and found I went through it very fast and its was getting expensive so I did the price per ounce and it was way cheaper using the Suave shampoo and lots of different varieties to choosen from and its readily availabe and affordable. I tried it and I'm very satified with it. If you don't like anything perfumey smelling I'd try the ocean breeze shampoo, I'm using that now and it offers a nice clean fresh scent. I notice that when I travel the little bottles they offer in the hotels etc sometime call their shower gel body shampoo that's what got me to thinking, hey why not try regular suave shampoo substitute it for shower gel. I tried it and now its been like five years and I've never looked back. So, what the heck give it a try see what you think.

Hope that was helpful, take care;)

Trader Joe's has a lovely lavender bar soap that I use and love. It has real lavender in it. I think it is about $3-$4. I love lavender stuff!

I've been making my own bar soap for over 30 years now, also for friends and family. Haven't bought soap at the store since. I've researched many industries and found what was good for a lot of skin ailments, and even normal skin.

My soap is non drying and leaves skin fresh and clean, and lasts twice as long or longer than anything out there.

There are a lot of people on line who sell their soap. If you do buy from anyone, make sure there is no scent or dye added in the product. Or maybe a co-op store near you can help.

Good Luck,

Janie

I am a fan of the homemade soap made by a company called "little egg harbor soap co". It's a local NJ small business though and shipping rates to order off their website are high IMO so it's probably not economical. Since I live in NJ though and frequent the area where one of their stores are located, I pick up enough at one time to last me (hopefully) until the next time I in the area. I tend to be there several times a year/every few months.
