1/25 Back in the Game

Good Morning Ladies,
How is everyone doing this beautiful Sunday morning? I know,I should be in church but I already spent 1/2 of my life there.I needed a break for a few years.Beleive me,as a kid church was never enjoying...anyway we won't go there.
Did the ladies workout yesterday? I think Sara was trying to push it off for as long as she could:eek: Shame on you!:) And I don't think Bobbi could find the time..well,when we ounch in a good week ,I don't really think that one day matters.
Last night wasn't so boring after all.My hubby didn't go on ski-doo with his friends and we played cards all night and had a couple of drinks.I was impressed b/c he hates playing games...especially when he loses:)
My plan for today is...I am going cleaning...cleaning,cleaning.The only problem with that is there are two 7 year olds going right behind me and messing everything up again.I will have to confined them to one room;-) Then she has gymnastics at 12-2.Not really enough time to do anything.I can't work out b/c it isn't enough time to workout and then shower.I may save my workout for this afternoon or after dinner when my hubby is gone to hockey.
Sara-I may break out the PS Series this week to.I love that one,even though its older.I have been doing alot of lifting to b/c I have been mixing it in with the running.
And I can't relate to your small dog situation.We had chico weighed christmas time and he was 114.8 lbs! He has a VERY good personality.Alot of dogs growl at him or snap at him and he doesn't even look at them.Its like their not there.Im sure if he wanted to..with one bite they would be put in their place.We went to our bosses cabin one time and everyone took their dogs.My bosses 3 lbs dog was in her arms the whole night and chico kept going up to her and spelling the blanket.I really don't think he knew what was in there.
Anyway,enough babbling again.HOpefully we are in for another great week!

Lori, I am right there with you on the church thing. It was honestly misery for me, and I was forced to go AT LEAST once a week until I was out of high school. Something about being told what to believe by a hypocritical gambling womanizer who would steal money from our church (no joke - all is true) is really disillusioning. But beyond that, I am a firm believer that you don't need a particular building to pray or believe (if you do).

Anyway, I WORKED OUT!! YAYY!! I did Stepworks, and that workout is fun. I had to do it all on 6 inches, and it wasn't too difficult that way. But had a very upset stomach for some stupid reason. I had a yogurt after my workout and it went away.

Then I had to go help my DB move a load into the new house. I was out until midnight... It was actually nice and warm until a harsh wind started up all of a sudden... Then my DB got stuck in the allyway behind the house. It took nearly twenty minutes and lots of burning tires to get him out :)

Well, hopefully I will be able to workout today again :D My little Bimba is doing wonderfully, so I feel so much better. She is barking up a storm just like normal now :D I don't like it, but it sounds so good now. Today, depending on how much time I have, I'm going to do PS SLA and some sort of stretch or pilates. This is the time when I wish I had a treadmill of some sort to walk out the soreness.

I'll talk to you guys later :) I'm being called in another direction.

Yeah,I had to go to church 3 times on Sunday.It wouldn't have been so bad if the majority of the people weren't over 70.I think it is different if you go to a very lively church and your not stared at for being a stranger.I wouldn't mind going to church here but I know my religion and I know the moment I walk through the door,people will be wondering who I am.I don't live in the same town that I did growing up.Anyway,enough about church....
I haven't worked out yet today but I have decided that I am going to do C&W and 20min runs before or after each step part.I am planning it around my hubbys hockey game BUT there is a snow storm here so he may not get out.Regardless I am working out.
I cleaned pretty much all morning,got groceries in the afternoon and now I am getting dinner ready.I cooked a chicken with some veggies.
Anyway,I will check back later after I work out.

I got my workout in, too :D I had to wait until my sister moved her fish tanks in, but that allowed me a cup of coffee. I did Strong Legs and Abs. It felt great. I was going to try to tackle all three workouts, but I just couldn't move on. I was hungry and was losing energy. If I'm free tonight, I might go ahead and do the upper body workouts.

I still have to go clean Ray's house and help him set up his stuff. It might be a good thing I didn't do all those workouts, or I'd be too spent to lift a finger. Hmmmm.... that's an idea }(

Alright, time for a shower, and then work time. So where did my vacation go?? Let me know how your workouts went. I think i'm going to do like Bobbi for awhile and concentrate on heavy weights. Gain some strength to get my motivation back. Slow & Heavy won't be for awhile, though. I'm still wimpy :)

Yep,got my workout in to.Although,I was feeling pretty bloated from dinner..not sure why.I didn't eat that much.I didn't work out until 9:30 and now it is 11:20:eek: I did C&W and a 60 min run.It felt good and I didn't feel like I was over doing it.
And I have to go hit the shower!:7 My favorite part....

I really wish I were working out that much. Now that I have the time, I'm not that much in shape. By the time I work up to that much intensity, it'll be time to stop exercising :( After my workout, I decided to take a bath. It was nice, long, hot, and I got to catch up on some shaving :) In the wintertime, it's so easy to let that go. I usually take baths for a couple of days after I receive my Runner's World magazine. I'm not sure why, but I love reading those in baths. I totally destroy them, but I don't usually keep my magazines for too long anyway. They collect way to fast!! I only keep my scientific magazines, because I never remember what I've read :) And they always come in handy when arguing points :D

I'm not going to clean tonight. My DB arrived at 7:30 thinking that I was going to go clean his house on my own. No way. It's going to wait until tomorrow. So I'm cleaning here tonight. I start tutoring again on Tuesday, but it's only 4 hours for 3 days a week. I think I can handle that. I hope I can handle that :)

I'm doing at least one of the upperbody workouts tomorrow and a cardio. Maybe Circuit Max cardio for a change. I'm thinking that I will do each of the PS once a week and then do one of the BodyBlast total body workouts once a week. Oh, and I used my barbell for the inner and outer leg lifts... I put no weight on the end near my head, and 5 lbs on the other end. Wow! What a difference! And it makes you use good form; it is definitely more difficult than just using 5 lb ankle weights. I actually was able to go through the entire working using heavier weights than I used to... so I haven't lost as much as I thought :) I do need to buy another set of 10lb plates, though, because I think I'll grow out of the weight set I have soon for the heavier workouts. I can already match Cathe's weight for Leaner legs and I only have 5 lbs more to go. It makes me wonder where in the heck all of my muscle is... I can't see any in my legs!

Good Morning.....
What a pile of snow we got last night:eek: Holy Cow,we don't even have it shovled yet.Not like we will,thats what snowblowers and plows are for.Lucky for us,his parents own a business and anyone who owns a business around here,owns a plow.I got to sleep in to.There isn't any school,even though its nice out,I guess its taking so long to clear away.BUT I think the strom is suppose to come at us in a different direction tonight and we are getting more!x( I really love summer.

I think I may do a leg workout today.I am really liking what I am seeing when it comes to my legs.I think all of the cardio is doing them wonders.I never measured them before(well,I did but I can't remember)so I am wondering if my calves are going to get smaller.I am leaning towards legs and glutes.I have been incorporating step with running(the running doesn't seem as long)so I don't know what workout I will do there.I think I am going to pick a step workout that doesn't have to much highintensity.Maybe one of the CTX cardios.I love those.

I cleaned here yesterday but you wouldn't know it.Atleast it is only picking up stuff and putting it back where it belongs.But why can't everyone else do that? If you moveit ..put it BACK!!!
I made my hubby use his bowflex last night.I think that people who buy exercise equipment to start working out...are totally wrong, and it never gets used.Your not gonna workout just b/c you bought something.I can only imagine how pissed he would be if I didn't use my treadmill and that didn't cost near as much as the bowflex.I kept telling him how mad I was getting and he said,"if hockey is cancelled I will workout tonight" Hockey was cancelled and he comes home and sits down to the kitchen table doing God knows what..I go up to get some water,and he says "im comming down now"...I bet you were.Well,if thats the only way he is going to use it(by me making him)then thats just fine with me.There is no way I am letting that go to waste.I could of had a trip down south for cry'in out loud....
Anyway,now I am babbling...

Hi Gals,
How did everyones day go?????? Mine went well.I didn't have a nap.Can you beleive that? I had to get us back on this page.We were bumped to page #2.
Another good workout day under my belt.I did Legs and Glutes in the a.m.Then at 3:40,I did a 70 min run mixed in with the circuit part of power circuit.I finished at 5:20.Thats alot of cardio.
I am feeling pretty bloated the last coupld of days.I think it is b/c I haven't used the bathroom in almost 3 days...and thats not like me.Sorry to get so grapic...
Anyway,hope everyone else had a good day.Back to work tomorrow

Hey Lori :)

Everyday, I am simply amazed by the amount of energy you have. Once again, I didn't get a workout in. But I am ridiculously sore from yesterday's SLA that I don't mind too much. I'm hurting in my hip flexor and groin area, and those are the two areas I injure the most, so I need to be careful. I got up this morning around 10 and spent the entire morning finishing up bills. Then I had to get ready and run TONS of errands. Bills to send, ebay purchases to take care of(of Ray's, not mine - but he doesn't do it), banks, picking up checks, dropping off stuff, signing stuff, shopping. And then I had to go over to my DB's house to clean. He finished bringing all of his stuff in and I can't even move in there!!!! I spent 4 hours cleaning just the fridge and microwave. The person who lived there before didn't clean, and they were the grossest things I had ever seen. I nearly vomited a couple of times. I tried to vacuum and mop, but there are so many heavy boxes in the way that I couldn't get more than one square foot at a time before I had to stop and rearrange the whole room. So I quit.

I start tutoring tomorrow... I'm going to try to get up early and get my workout in before I have to go... That might discipline me a bit :)I have to tell you that if liposuction weren't so expensive and dangerous, I'd get it in a heartbeat. I HATE my thighs, and nothing helps them. I am strong enough to match Cathe's weight in Leaner Legs, and close in PSA, but they still look like two big soft potatoes. x( It's so frustrating.

I'm happy to report that my dog is in more than perfect health now and has been tearing up the entire house since yesterday. She has more energy now than every before. And she's already gained back quite a bit of weight :)

We're expecting another big snow storm here, too. It's been clear for a couple of weeks, but cold as could be. The only bad part is that the ice won't melt. Well, the snow melts enough to turn into ice :( but that's it. It makes going for walks or runs impossible.

Ok, I'll check in tomorrow and hopefully have a workout to report. Right now I'm tired, grumpy, and frustrated with my DB. I know how it feels to not go to the bathroom. When I was in Italy this summer, I didn't go for 3 weeks!! Needless to say, it ruined my trip. Coffee helps me a lot, though. In Italy, they only make espresso, and my family only used decaf :( I didn't know until I came home, and they told me. I hope you feel better soon.

Yep,I am just sitting here.Sipping on my coffee.I have to be at work by 7:30 and it is 7 now.Tim Hortons in the only coffee that will help me out in this area.But for some reason I don't need to use the bathroom today.....funny isn't it? Probably b/c I am going to wait until I get at work,and then have to go,in a gross airport.I am being very sarcastic!
I am not usre what workout I will do today.I am working until 5 so I won't workout until 8'ish..
I hate moving things.A freind of ours moved away a couple of years ago.And she must of had the dirtest apt.I have every seen.The microwave was awful.I don't think she did anything.I pity the poor person who as to marry her.
Anyway,I will check back later.I am at the airport today so there is going to be lots of free time to check the internet.

Hey Lori! I haven't worked out yet :( I had to be at the lab by 11, and just couldn't get up early enough. I ended up staying awake until 2 am., and then had to get up at 4 to give Bimba her medicine. I was wiped this morning. And then I couldn't eat anything until 5 tonight!! I tried to get home many times, but too many errands came up and it was just one of thsoe days. So, I'm waiting for my lentils to digest and then I'm going to get moving. Unfortunately, my DB bought me a frappuchino (which tastes great), but all the sugar has made me feel a little yucky. So hopefully that wears off. I could only finish half anyway. I'm going to do a CTX cardio and the upper body PS tapes. My lower body is still killing me from the other day. It feels great :) Ok, I'll check in again later tonight :)

HI sara,
I just finished my workout.I just ran today but plan on doing abs now.I think I am going to do cardio and Upper Body tomorrow.
Tonight I did a 80 min run while I watched american idol and some other crap........Oh....I had to stop 1/2 way through my run and use the bathroom.I know its gross but I am so relived.
I called my hubby on his cell phone to see where he was and he was on his way home with wings and nachos!:9 But I can't, even after that run I have to be a good girl.I ate enough sweets today that I need to still be running.

Well, another 2 workouts down the tubes :( I just can't get motivated. I feel as though I'm going through a slight depression right now. I just can't get motivated to do anything at all! Even brushing my teeth before bed becomes a fight with myself. I hope it's just a temporary thing and I snap out of it. I know the weather has something to do with it... One of my favorite things in the world is going out and enjoy a walk AT LEAST 3 or 4 times a week. And I've never had a real interruption in that... even winter has been clear enough that as long as I bundle up, there's no problem. It's even more beautiful than walking in the summers... I can't do that now :( I find snow up to my butt and ice that knocks me ON my butt. I know I'm also down and nervous about moving so far away so soon... leaving all of my friends and family - into an apartment that at this moment is literally not fit for life. And no money.

Ok, 'nuff of that. I'm going to get ready for work and hopefully find the energy for a workout this afternoon. I need to go get a cup of coffee first ---- NO FRAPPUCCHINO!! :D

Oh, we all go through those slumps.I had to fight one off on Saturday and SUnday.I took Friday off and it just went down hill from there.Once you get go'in you will be feeling better about it and about yourself.
I did a strange workout today.I did the first part of KPC,Imax2 (intervals 6-10) and I 30min run.
One bad thing though....and its weird how this has changed in one week.....I can feel my pants getting tighter and I don't know why.Am I not eating enough,am I eating to much again or is eating in the night time my big downfall.I can honestly look and last week and not see where it is any different from this week.And look at all of the cardio I have been doing.That should be enough to keep the pounds off.I am trying not to think about it to much but I can't help it.
I am going to stop eating carbs for dinner and not eat before I go to bed.See how that makes me feel.Maybe I am just a bit bloated but I doubt it.
See we all have our bad days!

Hey Lori,

I'm about to workout, and hopefully I'll feel better. I think another problem is WAY too many interruptions in my routine. Too many people around, too many guests, WAY too much moving :|

Anyhow, I would wait for another week or so and see how your pants fit you then. I know that sometimes after heavy weight work, I am bigger for awhile. And even for no good reason, depending on what nasty trick my body decides to pull on me that day. You know, I wouldn't mind being this weight if it weren't for my upper thighs. They are just gross. Honestly, my upper body looks fabulous when I little overweight, and my stomach has never been a problem. Oh well, no different than many women, I suppose :) Too much time looking through Victoria's Secret Catalogues, I think. Time to throw them away :)

My eating has been great the last couple of days. Not enough veggies, but good none-the-less. Ok, enough stalling. Off to exercise :)

Ok, I did it!! :D I did CTX Kickbox (minus the weights) and I did both PS upper body workouts. It felt great. I almost had enough energy (after a little snack) to do the lower body workout, but I have a tight groin muscle and I didn't want to cause any problems.

Unfortunately, I celebrated with a few cheese raviolis :( And I'm supposed to meet my DB for dinner in a bit. Oh well, I'll have a nice veggie salad :) There is one place that makes a salad with lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, snowpeas, and a few other greens with a hot teriaki sauce. It's the best! Oh, and some chicken, too. I generally DESPISE salad dressing, but this is just plain old teriaki, so I love it. I am very lucky to hate mayo and salad dressings. I also hate mustard and anything vinegry... Just don't like it x( Makes eating at other people's homes very difficult.

Im glad you made yourself workout.I have had to do that before and I was so contray while I was working out b/c I didn't want to be doing it.But after I was on cloud nine!
I don't know when I will get to workout today.I have to work all day.But lately I have been doing my workouts in the nighttime.Either that or I will have to take today off:-( I was hoping that tomorrow would be my day off.
ANyway,I have to go to work!!!!!!!!!!!

Lori, how's my favorite enegizer bunny? Still running a little for me?

Sara, you are back in the game. Yay! Good job. It will all come together!

I have been an insomniac for weeks on end and it's caught up with me. I had to finish off last weeks pyramids on Monday. Workout, skip, workout, skip! I did a live yoga class, my first on Wednesday, Loved it! I have to do SH strength and CTX cardio for the next three days to go into next week's rotation on schedule! Yikes! I have been sort of "pre-resting", I guess. I'll be glad to get my sleep in order and I am working with my doctor to do that. Sleeping pill didn't knock me out, LOL!

If I don't check in tomorrow and tell you I did SH L&S and CTX 10-10-10, send me a strongly worded email on the importance of working out when you are tired because it makes you feel better!

Uh,I still feel like I am asleep.I am up a little earlier though.I am going out of town tonight and I need to get a quick workout in before I start my day.
I didn't get to workout yesterday.I planned on working out last night but I was to stressed out(beleive it or not).
For a while now my 7 yr old as been doing alot of things she shouldn't be doing.If its not about "her" then she don't care what its about.You can tell her to do something and it takes her 10 times telling her to do it.She don't listen.She has a answer for everything,if she has to do something she wants to know why.And you can say whatever you want to her and 10sec later she is smiling again.Its like beating my head against a wall.
Yesterday was the last straw though.It wasn't a really big deal(what she did) but when she gets mad at us,she gets mad at everyone else and then she can be rude.Rude to people she don't even know.
So, when she got in bed last night she figured that if she said "sorry"everything would be o.k. But we said ,no more,we are tired of her attitude and it has to stop.We took her t.v and dvd player away.And told her that we are taking her out of gymnastics.I don't know how easy that will be.I don't know if I can take her out for a week(thats 2 times) and see how she behaves that week.I don't know if she will miss to much.
I just don't want people to think that this is how we are raising her.Sometimes I am embrassed to take her in public b/c you don't know what she is gonna say or do.
Anyway,by the time we were finished talking to her,my hubby didn't go to hockey and I didn't workout.
BUT I did have a good nights sleep.I don't think I moved until 6:45.I usually wake up about 5 times.
Anyway,I weighed myself when I got out of bed and I don't think I have put on any weight but it feels like it.Prehaps I am going to start my period, I forgot to right down when I started last time:eek:
I hope everyone has a good day.I think I am going to do a quick interval run.I am going to my moms tonight and I will rpobably workout out there.My sister bought all of the equipment for when she comes home.
Alrighty.....off I go.
