Good morning, cheetahs! Happy Sunday!
Christine —somehow your last post slipped by me. Rumble with hand and ankle weights sounds killer—WTG. Ooh, thanks for the yoga recommendation. I’ve added it to my wish list. J Looks like a good one…I hope the pain has eased up for Ved some.
Dallas —great circuit you created…Wow, both kids’ teams have had fantastic seasons. But I bet mom won’t mind getting a break from it all, eh?...I am reading Barack’s memoir. What about you?...When I practiced yoga yesterday, I realized the problem is ME. J My hams, hips, and quads were so tight; it’s clear I’ve been neglecting things and rushing through my stretches lately. Shame on me. I should know better.
Linda —glad your DD is doing better, and you enjoyed lunch together today. Great job with the 4 miler + weights. Your recovery is going smoothly—wonderful!
Gloria —I saw your post on the OD. I’ll just respond here because I’ve “had it” out there. Some folks just won’t get it, so no point wasting time on the hateration. New Jersey has similar requirements for maintaining certification. We have to accumulate 100 hours within every 5 year period, but any professional development counts, not just college courses. Many school districts here do offer partial compensation, but you are right—it does add up. I wasn’t even referring to that or to the investment of our professional wardrobes (which, as you know, can and do get soiled with chalk, markers, and occasionally blood from a broken-up fight) nor did I mention how often teachers pool money to buy winter coats, graduation suits, holiday gifts, individual school supplies, etc. for students/families in desperate need. I was referring only to the money we spend on an ongoing basis for the supplies needed just to do our job. I guess all we can do is focus on our work with the kids and hope we can influence them not to be as ignorant as some of their parents.
Posh —hey! Just wanna say: you aiight. J
I’m joining Carole in the rough sleep department. Your standard case of
, but it’s ironic because the yoga premix I did yesterday was to prevent insomnia. *lol* Oops! So much for that! At any rate, one of the positives of being up in the middle of the night is that I finished the bit of grading I had remaining, so now my Sunday is free to enjoy as I please. Yippeee!!!
I am debating on whether to run outside or do an EXT/TM combo. I know one thing, for sure, I am going to follow Gloria’s lead and pick it up with the yoga. The legs and hips were ridiculously tight, so yesterday’s session did wonders.
Have a wonderful Sunday & happy trails!
