    So very bummed :(

Thanks everyone! I havea SLAP tear in my left shoulder. SLAP stands for something (I googled it then forgot). I hurt it in june '07 and it took the MDs about a year to diagnose the tear. Then I put off surgery until after the holidays. I'll be in a sling for about 6 weeks then on limited...

    So very bummed :(

I hope you all enjoy STS from the get-go. I have a shoulder injury from doing P90X and am having surgery on 2/2. I was really looking forward to doing STS. I'm sure it's as challenging as it seems! Enjoy!

    Oatmeal???????

You can also make steel cut oats in the crock-pot (if you have one). Just put 4 cups of liquid (water, milk, half-and-half or a combo thereof) and one cup of steel cut oats in the crock pot and cook for 8-10 hours (overnight) on low. You can also add dried fruit if you like (raisins...

    P90X too easy?!

Wow- what great feedback! Gayle - its just the cardio that's too easy. I'm so used to the Imaxes and Cardio Fusion that the "X" cardios seem like a breeze. I just feel like I should be burning more calories to get really fit. I did think that "legs and back" could've been harder (my legs...

    P90X too easy?!

OK, I just completed my first week of P90X. I thought this was supposed to be hard! The PlyoX ("The mother of all P90X workouts"!) wasn't nearly as hard as any Imax. My heartrate never crossed the anerobic threshold and I burned WAY fewer calories. Same for Kenpo X. I found myself jumping a...

    Imax

For me, Imax1 is not my fave Imax (Imax2 is) but it is still my benchmark for testing my fitness. Once I was able to complete interval 10, I knew I was pretty damned fit! Definitely worth the investment, if just for interval variety.

    chin up bar purchase

I bought the "Door gym" on ebay and I love it. Its easy to install - no hardware - and therefore is not permanently attached.

My P90X Results, Lessons Learned, General Comments: An Essay

Wow - Thanx for the excellent write up. I'm starting the X today and your comments are really insightful. I, too, have a low boredom threshold and my biggest concern is getting bored before the 90 days are up. If guess if you can stick to it, I can too. But then its right back to Cathe, I'm...

    Question on Jeans

Wow - I thought it was jsut me who couldn't fit into today's "modern" jeans. I can't wear boot-cut at all - the yare too narrow in the thighs! They make my butt look good, but I can't move! I'll check out your suggestion. Thanks!

    Cathe and P90X rotation combo

Wow- 14 lbs??? that's about what I need to lose. My diet is also a train wreck - especially knowing that I'm starting anew tomorrow. I've been REALLY bad this weekend. Last minute binging is soooo stupid, I know, but I'm all set for tomorrow. the X diet seems restrictive at first but I'm gonna...

    Cathe and P90X rotation combo

Your rotation looks good to me - I printed it out for future use (I hope you don't mind!). I'll be starting P90X tomorrow. As a veteran P90x'er, do you have any advice? Is it as hard as they say, or should I be ok since I've been doing Cathe so long? Did you get bored doing the same 12...

    Other intense workouts?

Hi- I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about other intense exercise instructors/regimens? I've been doing Cathe for years (and still love her) but was wondering if P90X, turbo Jam, Amy Bento, Tracey Staehle, etc were worth the time/effort/expense (or any other suggestions). I hate...
