Body fusion/ Basic step video question

:-) If it's any consolation, Body Fusion is a lot more fun than Basic Step. Both use a lot of the same moves. You can also skip the strength parts if you want to just step. Basic Step is just really...well...Basic.

    Britney Spear's Opps....

HEY! Purely respectable white trash resent that remark. :P

    Britney Spear's Opps....

I often wonder if she ever regrets recording the song, "Oops, I did it again". It seems the media uses it a lot when talking about her many many screw ups. Or maybe that's WHY she did it--she knew it would be used a lot... And yeah, that picture is nasty. I bet she regrets that one now...

What happened to the heart rate check?

Thanks Cathe. Truthfully, I never actually checked my heart rate during those breaks anyway. I was mostly resting, drinking water, etc. I thought maybe you knew that and that's why you took them out. ;-)

My stupid jeans don't fit anymore!!!!!!!

I had the opposite problem--tight in the waist and big in the butt! I finally sold all my old jeans on ebay (made up to $30.00 per pair for designer styles) and replaced them with the kind with a bit of stretch to them--Silver brand jeans are a favorite. The stretch is so nice--hugs my curves...

I need help with 2 things.....

Another vote for an F4 and I got mine at www.heartratemonitors.com. I used code "GALAXY" and got a 20% discount. I'm not sure if it's good anymore, but you could try it.

What happened to the heart rate check?

Hey Cathe! I did Power Max over the weekend and just loved the little "break" I got to do a heart rate/perceived exertion check. Why don't your workouts have those any more? I was mainly just curious (and hoping you might throw them back in on future workouts). There is just something...

    Fast Food Nation

"The APPENDIX is an extension of the small intestines attached to the top end of the large intestines. The small intestines are the incubator for the body to incubate the bacteria that breaks down the food so the vitamins, nourishment, and minerals the body needs can be dissolved in the water we...

    Fast Food Nation

I found this entire thread (with the exception of the obvious attacks) to be very enlightening. I enjoyed reading both sides--and it's clear that sources can be pulled to support either side. I have no side. I think people can choose what's right for themselves. Thanks for educating me this...

    target heart rate

    >Do most of you workout beyond your target zone? I'm sure Cathe >workouts must keep you at or above your target zone for most >of the workout. Yes! That's why I like the formula for maximum (220-age). With Cathe workouts, I rarely stay in the range for more than 20 minutes. Of course...

    Fast Food Nation

    >And according to who is meat one of the 'foods' our bodies are designed to have? Well, the purpose of the appendix was to help our bodies digest raw meat...of course, since most people cook it now, it is largely unnecessary and that is why it can be removed.:-)

Will I ever get it or should I just do something else?

I always kind of think of it as I used to when I had trouble in school. I was always determined that I WOULD get it! I practiced and learned one combo or one step at a time (which, in and of itself is a great workout) until I could do the whole thing. Did you ever do cheerleading or dance...

    Where's Cathe?

And of course we know there are no computers in Florida:+ J/K --I was also wondering where she is. I notice she comes by once in a while to lock a thread and shut down a check in, but that's about it. I'm guessing she is very busy dealing with the problems with the last DVD's.

    DVDs purchased from other sources...

For some reason, I don't think distributors would knowingly be selling defective items that they know are going to be returned. It's entirely possible that Cathe's crew have already replaced the DVD's to the large retailers. My DVD's were fine on my refurbished Toshiba DVD/VCR combo. Of...

    Hostile customer service response-long

Seems to me he put this in writing and signed his name to it so you could probably send it to the BBB, or Consumer Reports--anyplace that he'd be embarrassed to have it. That will teach him a lesson he so truly needs. Even if he disagreed with you, he could do so respectfully. I do think you...

What it says on a box of sugar....

I honestly do believe that sugar is healthier than artificial sweeteners. I don't think any lab rats have gotten cancer from sugar--fat and rotted teeth--but no cancer. And I live in sugar beet country, so I feel compelled to mention that sugar sales have declined since Splenda and they are...
