    Peticure--has anyone tried this?

I was looking at this too. If you already have a dremel you can buy just the attachment. Be careful using the dremel by itself if you have dog with long hair (I have Shih-tzus)as the hair around the toes will get caught and yanked out. That's why I was considering this tool. Susan

Have you ever tried belly dancing?

Yes, my girl friend and I took a class and had a blast. The instuctor had an amazing body and made it look so easy. It was hard to concentrate on the arm movements and body movements at the same time let alone move the feet. I even bought some dvd's but just did not follow through with doing it...

Have you seen "I am Legend" SPOILER

RE: Have you seen When I saw the dog the first thing I said was "oh no, I know the dog is going to get killed". I couldn't watch the scene with him fighting the beasts and got up and went in the other room. I just knew he would get hurt and when he was holding him in his arms I left the room...

    Does anyone Row

I have been looking at the newer rowing machines and there is one called the Concept 2. It is used by people that train for sculling. I have always wanted to try and row one of those long skinny boats with the big oars as they look so sleek and seems like it would be quite a work out. My knees...

    Desperate for a new mattress

I have a memory foam also and it is wonderful to sleep on but, I sleep hot at night and it really holds the heat in and causes me to toss and turn all night even in the winter with the window open. I get so hot on the side next to the mattress I can't stand it and have to turn over to cool off.

    Oatmeal & Breakfast Help

I do just like Sonecone Bella. One thing that helps is to be sure and add some salt to the rolled oats when cooking. It helps with the flavor. I usually make a large batch on Sunday and put in containers that I can grab and take to work with me. I also like to cook mine till a lot of the water...

    Question about plyometrics and rebounder

RE: Rebounder vs. Plyo Board I can't find any info Shock absorbent blocks for sale either. I did see one site that said Televisions and such are shipped with shock absorbent foam. Might could beg some big tv store for their shipping material where they have unpacked large tv's. Probably be...

    Question about plyometrics and rebounder

RE: Rebounder vs. Plyo Board I wonder how hard it would be to make something like that. It looks like it is just plywood with some foam blocks under it and a piece of mat on the top.

    Weight of Weighted Vest?

Jeez, at those prices I am picturing myself with a couple of sand bags tied together and slung around my neck and shoulders LOL.

    French Vanilla Whey Powder/ground flaxseed

I don't like flavored powder of any kind. I get tired of it and it is too expensive to buy different ones just to try. I like the Optimum Any Whey unflavored. It dissolves really nice and you can add your own fresh fruit for the flavor of your choice. It is even good to put in cooked food like...

Too old to become a personal trainer?

I don't think you are to old at all. I am 63 and would rather have someone your age or older instead of someone in their 20's or 30's. I think there is a great need for older trainers and I know I would feel more comfortable with someone that is in shape and closer to my age. Susan N

    Egg Question

Beth, I do give them oyster shell free choice and yes mine love watermelon in the summer, they also like figs and pomagrantes from our trees. We have racoons and cayotes too but I built a varmit proof pen after losing a pet goose to racoons. I just let mine out in the afternoons when I am home...

    Egg Question

I decided to get chickens of my own again. I have a nice big pen and used to have silkies. I decided since I was going to be eating lots of egg white for my protein that I needed more chickens. I got 23 babies last month and had them in a box (one my weight bench came in) with a light for about...

    Opinions on this bench?

Yup, that's the one I have too (the walmart one). Being older and tall it is so much easier than getting up and down using a step. I don't like that it takes up so much room but it sure has come in handy for hanging a few clothes on to dry in bad weather (I don't have a dryer). Susan N

    Pet Nutrition Vent

I know what you mean about the treats. I usually get chicken jerky strips made by waggin train however, I just noticed recently they are a product of China. Although they are supposed to be pure chicken I can't help but wonder what else could be on them. I buy beef liver at the store and boil it...

Has anyone tried a detox flush or a juice fast?

I just watched a very interesting program on Discovery Health called The Truth About Food. It is by Dr Oz. They did a test concerning this. They put about 6 women on a detox diet and the other 5 0r 6 ate regular for a week or 10 days. They collected all their urine at the start and end of the...

    Pet Vaccine Nightmare!!

Chastity, I feel so bad for your little guy. I have had mixed thoughts about giving the Vac's every year too and have also read on the internet they are not always necessary. We are required by law to have the rabies shots. I think once they have the puppy shots they do build up a resistance and...
