Thank you for sharing. I live at 5300 feet, so the recipe should work fine for me.

Any Allergy Sufferers treated by NAET ?

I didn't check the NAET website, so didn't know about the accupressure. It looks like the alternative practitioners are taking a NAET seminar, then adapting it to whatever modality they want to use. This is another red flag for me.

Any Allergy Sufferers treated by NAET ?

The brochure I got from the Naturopath about NAET calls it "Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques". I assume the Chiropractor's machine is a substitute for the acupuncture. Or his NAET could be something different.

Any Allergy Sufferers treated by NAET ?

I got some info from a Naturopath because I have food intolerances (wheat, dairy and probably others) and she uses NAET that involves acupuncture for all manner of ills. It was $75 per treatment after the initial $250 consultation, none of which is covered by insurance. It might be worth a go if...

I am never eating duck again!

You can eat the duck!!! Check out http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/index.html. Put "duck" in the search box. Duck, domesticated, meat only, raw has 132 cal per 100 gms. The nutritional info must have been for the skin. Enjoy!!!

    Do ACL reconstructions "wear out"?

DH is 70 now. He stopped jogging about 3 years ago because of foot problems, but does OK on a treadmill. He cranks up the elevation and pushes himself pretty hard, but doesn't jog. He also works out with weights. We still backpack. He was in his 40's when he blew out his knee during...

    Do ACL reconstructions "wear out"?

My husband had his first ACL reconstruction in about 1983. That operation involved cutting the knee open and suturing (or stapling?) the torn ends of the ligament together. He was in a cast for 6 weeks and had a long rehab period afterward. This type of operation eventually fails because of the...

    Protein vs. Kidneys

If you mean you are eating 800 calories/day of protein, that would come to 200 grams which is a lot. I eat 1 gram per pound of lean body mass, which is about 95 grams per day. If you wanted to take in 1 gram per pound, that would come to 150 grams.

    anyone STILL getting palpitations?

I have MVP and anxiety can trigger palpitations. Avoiding caffeine helps a lot, as does meditation. I don't know why bending over could trigger palpitations.

    PayPal Security Key?

I got the key last year after an E-bay hack scare. The key can cover both E-bay and PayPal. (I think E-bay owns PayPal now). I got pretty paranoid and have alerts set on all my credit cards and bank account for transactions over a certain amount. I haven't had any accounts hacked yet.

BAD KITTY! (need some cat advice)

You could try putting a rubber band around the roll if you leave it on the back of the toilet. At least it wouldn't unravel when he pushed it down the stairs.

How do I print out one post?

I had the same problem this morning. Do you have a program like WordPad on your computer? I selected the whole post and copied it. Then pasted it into WordPad.

I encountered the same problem yesterday and today. After I first successfully registered for CatheNation on Monday, I could get in, but no more.

I was never emailed a password, HOWEVER.....

Sucess! I was able to get registered yesterday evening (8:00 PST) by requesting a new password. I found this buried in an earlier post after floundering around for a while trying to figure out how to register. I sure didn't want to have to get a new e-mail address or name to post on the forums...

Mid Back pain during the night

I would suggest researching "trigger points". I get spasms in my upper and lower back when I get overly stressed or don't work out (I have a twisted spine). One book to check out is Bonnie Prudden's "Pain Erasure". She has maps of where trigger points commonly occur. My husband works on me and...

What do you think is going on?

The UPS distribution system might be messed up because of the extensive flooding in the Midwest. This is certainly a frustrating situation, which hopefully will be resolved soon.

    "This disc is dirty"

RE: The disc may need to be cleaned. You can wash it with a bit of dishwashing detergent and water. Rinse well and carefully pat dry with a microfiber cloth. Hope this helps.:-)
