    Free Speech, I guess

RE: Cathe ROCKS!!!!! I don't think that it's fair to bash this person or label them as "a poor excuse of a human being" based on ONE post in a forum that does not give the poster an opportunity to edit. I don't agree with the suggestion to "shut up", but some of the posted reactions that I have...

LAST EDITED ON Apr-21-02 AT 01:26PM (Est)[p]I agree with jcm that the http://www.treadmilldoctor.com website is very helpful. Slow and Heavy

Ginger, how do you define results? S&H will increase your strength and muscle mass if used consistently with good form and challenging weights. I think it's a great series (my favorite)but because of the concentration required, I use it in short rotations. And I really don't think that S&H lends...

    VHS vs DVD

RE: Yikes!!! I have a programmable five disk dvd player. To be honest, I have never programmed a workout since I bought it last Fall, even though I had intentions of doing so. Changing from dvd to dvd or chapter to chapter is so quick and simple that I haven't found the motivation to learn how...

    "LOSING IT!"

Hi Donna, It sounds to me like the increased intensity in your workouts is making your body speak to you (that, and where you are in your monthly cycle.) You're responding by giving your body nutritious fuel which seems like the best plan of action. You shouldn't feel guilty, rather, you should...

    VHS vs DVD

RE: Yikes!!! Your investment will give you fabulous returns. I did the CTX Upper Body Slit today...great workout! When I took the dvd plunge, I really wanted to order the total package but felt completely guitly about the expenditure, instead, I ordered the CTX series (which I didn't have on...

    VHS vs DVD

LAST EDITED ON Apr-10-02 AT 10:02AM (Est)[p]DVDs are the way to go. As far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison.

Where is the "FUN" in Power Hour?

Power Hour nearly kills me every time I do it! I have to really lighten up on the weights or I'm miserable.

    Yoga - Bryan Kest?

Karen and Kristie brought up a really good point; "Energize" can be modified to make it more or less intense. If you have a dvd player, you might like the "Crunch Total Yoga" dvd too. It's not the same intensity as Bryan's (slower pace), but good for an all over stretch.

    Yoga - Bryan Kest?

Hi Jodi! Bryan Kest is a good choice for strenuous yoga asanas, but I don't think that I would choose his Power Yoga tapes as "rest day" workouts. Even the "Energize" tape will require a certain degree of muscle strength and endurance. You will have to maintain down dog for an extended length of...

Please tell me to buy the PS DVD!!!

Get the PS dvd OR ELSE!!! I just got mine last week (I sold the vhs version last Fall) and I can't believe that I went without for all of these months. PS is the essential Cathe weight training series!

    weight training books

I second the "Getting Stronger" suggestion. This is a classic strength training book and it's full of great information. I am on my third copy, as I have given away copies to friends.

    Circuit Max/Cardio Kicks and space?

Thanks Annette and bebop! I guess that the CK/CM dvd will be my next Cathe purchase. The PS Series dvd just arrived today (replacing the vhs version that I sold last Fall.) I was having some major PS withdrawals!

    Circuit Max/Cardio Kicks and space?

I did a forum search using the words "workout space" and came up empty handed, so I'll post these questions: Would the CK/CM dvd be a worthwhile investment for someone that had a limited amount of cardio space available? For those of you who have these workouts and modify due to space...

    Just ordered PS

I just now getting around to replacing the vhs version of PS that I sold late last Fall when I bought my dvd player, with the dvd version. Now, the only Cathe dvds that I don't have are the CK/CM one (which I probably won't get for lack of cardio space) and the Cardio Classics dvd. I'm so...

    Your favorite Yoga mat?

If you have already invested in a sticky mat, but you feel like it's not sticky enough, try washing it. Sticky mats become stickier with each washing.
