Did I miss the boat w/ Cathe?

Yep, I think she'll cook up something even better. She's said she plans to be in this business for a long time. Welcome to the world of Cathe! Take out your credit card :-) Melissa

    Cathe or SNM calendar ?????

How about a Cathe Fitness Journal? :-)

How do you spell this step step?

This has all been very enlightening. I'll have to do Cardio and Weights tomorrow just so I can hear her say it...and I'll know what she's saying! I'm not just getting fit, I'm getting educated at the same time :) Melissa

How do you spell this step step?

Oh, you might be right, it might be Cardio and Weights. Anyway, sounds like what I'm looking for. Thanks so much! Melissa

How do you spell this step step?

In IMAX2, there's a step Cathe does that she says is a 'patamarey' phonetically, at least the way I hear it. If you do the step on your left it's a tap with your left foot on the right side of the board, a tap of the foot on the left side of the board and then cha-cha-cha on the floor and change...

    Most intense workout

My vote goes for MIC. I haven't tried MIS, but I have only gotten through MIC one time and I have most of Cathe's tough workouts including the Intensity series. MIC leaves me begging for mercy. Melissa

    I just don't get it...

Yes, it could be muscle. I'm 5'4" and 130 pounds, and I'm wearing a size 6. I think a size 6 is a good size for my height, but it's surprising to be 130 when I used to be 115 when I wore a size 6. It has to be muscle. My husband says I have much better muscle tone now than I ever have, even...

I jumped! My experience so far of working out at home!

Good for you! I love working out at home. I find it to be a lot more fun than working out at the gym and I gave up my gym membership after discovering Cathe this past year. I can't get up early to do workouts no matter how fun though. I'm always going to be a late afternoon, early evening...

Husband & First Attempt at BC!!!!

I love this! I have to say that these workouts *look* a lot easier than they actually are. My husband found out the hard way when he started to do HSTA with me one day. Didn't make it very far. We were going to do YogaX from P90X together once a week for a while before he had shoulder surgery...

    Please HELP

Another vote for the Intensity Series. They are good, solid *tough* workouts that have a lot of variety and work well in a rotation. They are tough enough that you have lots of room to grow in them...I can't imagine getting to a point where I outgrew them fitness wise. Imax 2 is a lot of fun...

    Pre-Order

I preordered all of them and I'm 99% sure I'll keep them all, but even if I wasn't sure, I'd preorder because you are getting it at a lower price now and will probably be able to recoup your money on them if you change your mind and sell them on ebay or the yaya's swap. Melissa

    Toughest Cathe Strength Workout?

My vote goes for Power Hour. Even if I didn't use weights my legs would be screaming on the lunges. That was my first Cathe tape...what an introduction! Melissa

    CTX

I think I wouldn't purchase CTX if I wasn't going to do the step sections. There are other videos you can buy to get the weight work, which is what you would end up doing mostly. Terminator has step on all 3 of its workouts, but maybe you could do the step portions on the floor. I would...

    HSTA DVD, WOW!!!

I did this for the first time last night. I thought it was way harder than Boot Camp and that includes the aerobic sections. I'm not used to stepping above 5 inches, so that might be part of it. I couldn't believe how many leg presses there were....16 on each side for 5 circuits except for one...

Px90 still waiting- what takes so long?

Beachbody has notoriously long wait times to get the product, but they seem to be reliably delivered and they are worth the wait. I just had to comment. You did PlyoX and was out of breath during *some* exercises? You must be in great shape. PlyoX kicks my butt. I fear it :-)

How young is too young for weights?

I don't encourage the use of 5 pound weights, but you know, they are there and she grabs them sometimes. She doesn't seem to overdo it at all...doesn't like pain :-) Melissa

    Cardio w/Weights or Muscle Endurance

I have to agree that Cardio with Weights is the more fun of the two. I really look forward to doing it. Melissa

    Prone jack-knife on stability ball.....uhhhhhhhhh

Thanks for the tips. They are *very* helpful. I look like a fish out of water rolling around with the stability ball, *especially* during this pikes section. My kids laugh their heads off. I keep trying though, and hopefully I'll get it one of these days! Melissa

    How's the Terminator DVD?

I find the Terminators to be the absolute toughest workouts, even more so than Boot Camp or IMax2 as well as CTX. They take the hardest elements from other workouts and combine them. They totally kick my butt and they are longer workouts than most of her others....I did IMax Extreme today and it...

    Help?? CTX or P90X?

I've been doing P90X for 3 weeks. For me, P90X has been a much higher level of fitness for me than CTX. There is less cardio on the Classic rotation, but you can do a Lean rotation that has more cardio. I'm doing the Classic to start with. My strength has increased quite a bit. I'm using higher...
