    Your Favorite Movies of All-Time

Some of these I have to watch over and over just to get what's going on...that's part of their appeal (since I can watch them over and over:)): All About Eve and Citizen Kane among others. Others are just pure delight and take me out of everyday life: Desk Set Moon Over Miami Down...

    Numbers on the screen

I thought the little clock on the screen for Slim Series by Beachbody would drive me nuts...until I got the workouts and did them. Now I love that clock and think it would be a big help on some of Cathe's workouts. While doing Bootcamp, I find myself listening to the music and can tell when...

    A 5-10-20 workout dvd?

Thanks for starting this thread (sorry don't remember your name, but the poster is from India:))!!! Got the links (to VF and to the article). We have SIL's Bowflex living in our living room (will probably even decorate it for Christmas!)...maybe with this info in hand I might give that machine...

feeling there is no use in trying

Laura, as you can see, you're in better shape than you think. I'm sorry about the comments your friend made. It's a shame she tells you negative things, knowing how hard on yourself you are. But I think she has some issues she needs to deal with instead of taking her jealousy out on you. And...

feeling there is no use in trying

Laura, not Cathe, but...I understand your discomfort over your weight, but I have to say I would love to be YOUR size! I'm 5' tall (shorter than you by 2.5") and I'm sitting at 147 today (over 20# more than you!). There was a time these stats would have been a rude awakening for me (25 years...

    CTX?

Love, love, love CTX!!! The cardio segments are all killer hard, but mercifully short. The strength or weight segments are challenging, but again short enough! Cathe has varied her cardio with step, hi-lo, kickboxing, and even some AWT. And the music blows me away. (BTW, did I tell y'all I love...

    Music

I thought the Body Blasts were the best, too, but I have to admit her CTX series has my favorite music. I don't mind working so darn hard as long as I can enjoy the music!!!!!

    Stressed out about Eating!

Connie, you are driving yourself nuts...and not having fun with your food. I've been on programs that tried to make food or different foods (like sugar or fats) the enemy. Food is our friend, as is water! It's not WHAT we're eating that's killing us...it's how much we're eating. For me, it's all...

    Cathe I am sorry !!!!!

Don't let it bother you, Monkey. We all have to learn this new environment of online communications. And we all make some dandy bloopers:) After eight years being online, I still am not comfortable with online chat-rooms (unless it's family!)!

DIET OR EXERCISE: CLEAN EATING IS THE KEY

Oh my goodness, how long is it taking for me to get this in my head and really keep it there!!! You'd think I'd have figured this out when I really got started back in Jan. 03. I was approaching 50, weighed in at 204#, and felt every single year and pound! I got the eating under control, started...

    Would you apologize?

I'm an ex-smoker and don't consider myself the worst of anything. And while I'm glad I quit smoking, I don't look down on smokers and don't give them a hard time about their habit. I do try to do whatever I can think of so they will (hopefully) not feel like lighting up so much. And maybe even...

    Where does it stop?

Oh, how timely is this topic:)! I'm working myself back down the scale (more numbers) since I gained a few pounds...but my size 10 Levi's still fit. Okay, they were really tight, but they do fit much better. When I was in high school I weighed 107# and wore size 10 dresses (I sewed all my...

    Those darned Boo Bags!

I love fun and partying as much as anyone, but I despise chain letters...this doesn't sound like fun to me. But the wine...thank God we don't have this here...yet...

I wish I didn't have to ask for this prayer...

Elaine, consider it done. And I'm praying for you, too...thanks for sharing.

CTX Kickbox - what do you all think?

How timely!!! I've been doing CTX (and some Timesaver) this month and am really pleased with this series. The music is absolutely awesome and I love the short, but intense workouts. So far, Kickbox seems the shortest for me, but then it's the only one I've only done once. The efficiency of...

Weight Loss Rotation BEFORE the holidays!!!

A rotation aimed at Weight Loss at this time of year would be great! Now I don't run (so have to sub in some step/kickboxing) and my lower body is NOT my big problem (actually it's the spare tire:)), so right now I'm just waiting for her November rotation...whatever she comes up with...and that...

    Anyone take a Calcium supplement?

Now that's a great idea (taking a calcium tablet right before turning in for the night!) Thanks! Now I do take the calcium w/Vit. D tablets that my doctor prescribed. I also take a multi-vitamin pill every day, along with a Vit. E and a couple glucosamine/chondroitin gel caps every day. My...

Step Aerobics 4-5 days per week

Kimberly, I wouldn't recommend doing step on consecutive days. Alternate the step with kickboxing, other hi-lo, do some serious walking. Cathe's Bootcamp is a great circuit workout that has hi-lo and kickboxing for its cardio segments, buit your heart rate will stay up there even on the weight...

    Check out my Halloween Costume!

Charlotte and Caren, both of your costumes are adorable!!! I got one at Target last year, but haven't worn it yet. Maybe this year...hehehe. Charlotte, that teacher with the crush on your daughter sounds really creepy, doesn't sound good at all. And thanks for sharing your pics...so...
