    HELP - Bleach ??

    1. You can cut off the sleeve, and make a short sleeve or no-sleeve shirt. 2. Crinkle up the sleeves on both sides so that the bleach does not show and sew them gathered up. 3. Put an iron on patch over the bleached area. 4. Applique a piece of fabric over the damage. 5. Buy some wide ribbon...

    for parents w/ daughters

8yo is not too early for things to get started. I had many friends (25-30%) who started menstrating when they were 9. Remember that a discharge is a normal part of a woman's cycle. A yeast infection should have a yeasty smell and will likely look cottage cheesy. Normal discharge is clear and...

    Let's get controversial! James Bond!!

I have to go with Sean Connery, but Daniel Craig may overtake him if the movies stay good. Some of the older Bond movies have not aged very well, I do like the slightly less polished Bond character, and am looking forward to seeing QoS.

    baking in oven

My oven is too small to put a 9x13 horizontally, even putting a cookie sheet in vertically holds the door out a little bit. :( I am saving to replace my oven and stove with a properly sized range.

That is a really neat cloak, my DH would love it, but I already have something he will love more planned.

Do you get a Flu Shot?

I do not have kids, so I do not bother with the flu shot, and I do not ever get the flu. Once I have kids, they and I will get the shot.

    How green are you??

I think I am decent. I am good about recycling. I use the Holy Cow non-toxic cleaning supplies and shop the farmer's market when I have time. It would be unsafe and too is too far to walk anywhere here. I am replacing my windows to energy efficient, keep the thermostat high in the summer and...

Adult children financially supporting broke parents

I am also in the position of parents who I love, but who do not make wise financial decisions. I am a big believer that those who pay the money make the rules. It bothers me to read articles that say that when adult children move back in with their parents, because they are adult the parents...

butts and gutts vs. gym stlye legs

I really like both. But have to say I prefer Butts & Gutts. The workout moves a little smoother and I like the music more. It is also longer so I use chunks of it more ofter. That said - I love the floor work in GSL, I feel like it hits the tibialus and hamstrings to balance out my running. I...

    Devastated over my breakup

I am so sorry you are hurting. Hugs to you! You could have done better to be open about the fact that you were meeting an old friend. Hiding anything like that implies lack of trust and understanding. If you could not expect understanding over the meeting, then that should have been a red...

    What Animal Would You Want?

Lions and Tigers and Bears?! Oh My! :p I would also love a panther. Imagine the massages and stress relief from laying up against a huge, safe purring cat.

    "Heroes" fans...

I am a big heroes fan, but I think it is mostly leftover from season 1. My DH and I can always make each other smile by one of us saying "Save the cheerleader", and the other responds "save the world." As of season 3, I just am not as interested, I don't have the NEED to see what happens...

    Let's talk about compost!!

I really want a bin myself, but DH dug out a small area of the yard, and that is working well. It is compacting fast enough that we can keep adding. There are even some sweet potatoes growing in the area from some bad ones that we dumped.

I hate (but really love) B&G!

This is the hardest exercise for me too! I tell myself I could easily do this at work during the day, but then usually decide that it is just too hard. Gotta love and hate B&G.

What One Move Do You Do...

Sparrow - I am really laughin' that the "Hindu" push-ups make you fell like eating raw meat! Personally, I always feel strongest when I can accomplish heavy tasks with ease. Latest example: pick-up one side of my king size mattress, flip it, and carry it over the bedspring to not mess up the...

Anyone else thinking about Christmas yet?

I love Christmas, everytime I start singing a Christmas carole outside of December, my DH gives me a dirty look. I love the time spent decorating my home or anywhere else. I love buying presents and getting presents. I have already started my Christmas shopping. Snowflakes are my favorite...
