    GS Chest-Close Grip Press

Isn't it amazing how much more you can lift when you seperate them. Before my GS rotation I had done P90X and with my triceps was easily using 12's, and getting ready to go up to 15's on some things. The first time I did GS chest and tri's I was shocked that I was struggling with 5's, just...

    GS Chest-Close Grip Press

I did the same thing...combined the tricep work on the same day as biceps. I like working in a push/pull fashion...chest/back, bi's/tri's, and shoulders either with bi's/tri's or with legs. Working Chest and Tri's together is just a bit too much for me. I just finished creating my SH...

    heart rate question

That formula can be way off...it is with me. My max heart rate is much higher than the formula gave me. Therefore when my HR monitor says I'm "too high" it's not really the case. You can always try and see if you can figure out your max heart rate by running as hard as you possibly can...

    Shoe inserts???

Thanks Tammy!! They just look so thin...do they really add cushiness??? And do you add them to the insole that is already in the shoe or do you take that one out if it's removable?? I'm so new to all of this stuff...can you tell?!?! Deni

    Shoe inserts???

I hear everyone talking about adding cushion to their shoes by putting in seperate insoles. I think I may need a pair a) to make my shoes fit a bit better and b) to make my new shoes a bit "bouncier". What kinds do people recommend??? Deni

Cathe, Your Opinion on Fat Burning/Definition/Intensity

Gotcha ;) ;) !! Sounds good!! I hope you have success with everything. I'm also in a major trial and error phase of trying to figure out what my body responds to, and being the type that really likes immediate gratification I'm struggling with the "waiting game" :D :D . I've got the Slow and...

    GS Chest-Close Grip Press

Hey there... That was actually me that mentioned that I ended up splitting up that workout because my triceps got so fatigued doing all of the chest work. There was a noticeable difference in the amount of weight I could use doing it each way. When I would do the workout "as is" I counldn't...

Cathe, Your Opinion on Fat Burning/Definition/Intensity

Kathy...Deni again...heehee, I reread your posts from above and I just wanted to add...in regards to the trainer speaking of 3 cardio days in your "zone" I take this to mean that she suggests you do lower intensity cardio more frequently as being in the "aerobic" zone you are burning more...

Cathe, Your Opinion on Fat Burning/Definition/Intensity

Kathy, Obviously not Cathe here, but thought I'd chime in. In looking at your schedule it seems like a lot of exercise. My question to you would be how much are you eating calorie wise???? You'd need an awful lot of food to fuel all of those workouts. If you aren't eating enough your body...

You will not believe. . .

I hear ya on the high cost of losing weight. It's a great achievement and all but boy can it break the bank :o :o !! I recently had to do the same thing and walked away from VS spending over $100...I went from a 36 DD to a 34 B. I really liked the Ipex Demi (the one with the underwire...I...

Candi, or anyone else with the N-Gage XT

I'm having a horrible time in my search for a pair of good aerobic shoes. I'm so incredibly stressed over it it's not funny. I've returned the Enlight's I got from Zappos (too wide), a pair of New Balances (made the ball of my foot scream in agony after MIC), and now a pair of Ballo Shox (not...

    p90 vs p90x

There's a big difference between the two. P90 can be used by "beginners"...but don't assume that it's easy...just very straight forward and easy to modify for beginners vs. intermediate/advanced exercisers. P90 is broken up into 3 cardio days and 3 weight days with one day off. There is a...

    Cathe's cueing...

I've been doing Cathe for a couple of months now and I was right where you are when I started (and some of her videos still trip me up). I can say I've gotten MUCH better each time I attempt one of her step videos. You will get to a point after practice where you will be able to get the steps...

    I just recieved P90X

I'd hate to see you guys miss out on a great rotation because of the push ups and pullups. I admit I was "scared" at first too, but his pushup sequences are nothing compared to Cathe's dropset sequence in GS Chest and Triceps!!!! He breaks them up in a way that make them VERY doable...I...

Please somebody help me help someone else

Janice, Wow...I don't even know where to begin. Forgetting about your father for a minute and concentrating on you, you must be having the most difficult time in your life emotionally and physically right now. I can't even imagine what you are going through, and won't pretend as though I...

    THE WAX!

I don't even know how to respond...I know you don't want to hear this but that was the funniest thing I've read in a long time :7 :7 :7 :7 . Trust me I completely feel for you but you described it in a brilliantly funny way. I think the lesson learned here should be that some things are just...
