    log book for Cathe videos

Penny, I really like that idea. But, I thought I'd share with you a quick and easy way that I log. I use an index box and index cards. I have separators in it with names of each of Cathe's weight or cardio/weight workouts on them. I write down the names of the exercises in the order they are...

    New Video Poll

Cathe, I posted this as a response in another part of the Forum but wanted to make sure you read it. Thanks. For the "Intro to Cathe" video:If you choose to go the 'Move Master' route (i.e. a separate segment from the workout proper, where you demo each move for the viewer, break it down and...

Instructional segment on the New To Cathe video

Cathe, If you choose to go the 'move Master' route, would you please consider demonstrating the moves while facing the viewer, not with your back to the screen. I found this very confusing in another workout with this 'bonus' feature. I am used to working out w/ the instructor facing me; I...

    New Video Poll

Cathe, they all sound great to me. Very no-nonsense! I like the 'Intro to Cathe' idea b/c there are many (I was there, too, once!) who might just be a little intimidated by your step workouts. So, good call on that one. The other two sound great. Looks sort of like a 'Back to Basics' set...

    Hi Cathe!

It's the Bosu-beggar, coming back to haunt you...:D What I would love, in no particular order: -another pure step, mixed intensity (a la Rhythmic Step) -a full length tack-on stretch / yogaish style stretches video (maybe a bunch of 15 or 20 min segments, or a few 10 min seg's and a few...

    Question: Intensity Music CD

Cathe, I have to be completely honest. I am so happy that you all decided to release the CD, and I will happily purchase it (as someone mentioned: great treadmill tunes), but I have to ask...where's the 'bang your head' song, with the wailing guy and the crunchy guitar riff (the one that plays...

    Question: Intensity Music CD

Hi, I am not Cathe (obviously :) ) but I imagine that it will have the BPM, b/c these companies make music for instructors and usually they list BPM w/ the title (at least I have seen the song lists this way online, with the title and BPM next to it). Kathy

    Question: Intensity Music CD

Hi Cathe, I would love to buy this CD when available. Do you know if there is a timeline for when it will be available? Or is it just a cruel rumor (that it will even be produced)? Thanks, love those tunes, Kathy

    Question Re: ME glute raise

Hi Cathe, Regarding the glute raise exercise - I was wondering if I may position my feet during this exercise with a wider base of support (a la kickbox-type stance) rather than planting my front working bent-knee leg directly straight in front of my back straight leg. I had a little balance...

Is C&W counted as a cardio or weight workout? Or both?

RE: Is C&W counted as a cardio or weight workout? Or b... JMHO, but for me, it counts as both. There is a good 1/2 hour of moderate cardio stepping, plus heavier upper body weights. Kathy

Accuracy of BMI for muscular women??

I so agree with everyone. I don't think BMI is accurate for those of us who work out regularly and eat healthfully. My BMI is almost 'overweight' and my weight is more than people would guess for my body. I say, take it with a grain of salt. I don't thinkit's correct for us. Kathy
