    Step Blast Challenge - HIIT?

OK, I did the 'Step Blast Double Challenge' this morning. Wow - so much fun! I programmed the Workout Blender w/ WU, Challenge, Challenge, CD/Stretch. The whole workout was about 40 minutes. I really enjoyed it, was able to really push myself on the blasts, and had much less dread than doing an...

    Premixes on Step Blast DVD

I really like this DVD and the premixes, and I'm not much of a Hi/Lo fan. You can do the SB and SJP step parts all together, or mix them up w/ the weights. It's really versatile and a great addition to a collection, IMO!

    Step Blast Challenge - HIIT?

    >If you have FitTv and a dvr you can record different Cathe >workouts and fast forward through the commercials. This will >help until your buying hiatus over. > >Jenn Unfortunately, no FitTV in the UK!:-(

    paxil

Amy, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience w/ Paxil, and I know it's the the right med for everyone, but I have to disagree w/ your opinion that if the choice were 'Paxil or suicide, I'd choose suicide.' I was on Paxil for two years, it worked very well for me. I was on a lower dose (20mg/day)...

    kids and school germs/illnesses

Emphasize the importance of washing hands, putting used tissues in the bin, and using wipes (if they are allowed, they aren't at DS's school.) Feed him a healthy diet, w/ a multi-vitamin and extra Vit. C. Make sure he gets plenty of rest. Other than that, you just have to let his immune system...

    If you won $275,000,000 would...

$257,000,000 ($275 million) or $275,000? $275 million - After taxes (which would be nearly 50%) you'd still have $150 million or so. I'd retire and I'd ensure my parents and in-laws homes and debts were paid, and that we had enough $$ set aside for DS's college education. Then I'd invest the...

    Would you have Plastic surg

I don't think I would. I hate the thought of surgery, hated having to have a c-section when DS was born, don't want any more unless it's totally necessary and life-saving! But, you have to do what you feel comfortable with.

    paxil

Randi, I so know how you feel, but at this time in your life your mental health is more important than how you look in the mirror. I have always felt the same as you - working out and 'looking good' were of the utmost importance to me. Then I hit a very bad time post-baby (pregnancy and weight...

    paxil

    >Would i still gain weight even though I eat very very clean >and workout 6 days a week? >Randi It's hard to say, everyone reacts differently to drugs. Talk to your doctor, and monitor what happens while you take the meds. Even though I did gain weight from it, I'd still take Paxil again...

Which rotation has success with weight loss?

Michelle, I'm 37 and I've really noticed the past few years that it's really hard to get the weight off. I too am struggling with the dreaded 'last 10 pounds'! Hopefully some of these suggestions will work for me too - thanks guys!

Help! How did everyone work up to Cathe?

Cathe's workouts are pretty challenging - both choreography and intensity! Another recommendation for Low Impact Step next - it's a good workout, but lower intensity than most of her other step stuff. After that, maybe try Low Max, but start w/ the step only premix, then the interval premixes...

    Step Blast Challenge - HIIT?

Hi all, Would you consider the Challenge part of Step Blast HIIT? I'm finding that Imax 3 is a bit too much for my knees right now, but the SB Challenge is doable. I was thinking of doing the Challenge twice through for a HIIT day. What do you think? Any other suggestions? Other than buying...

Stuck on a plateau since vacation - suggestions?

Thanks Boybert! I'm taking a 'mental health day' today - just relaxing and doing whatever I feel like doing. I'm kind of looking forward to it!

    paxil

I gained weight on Paxil. I was taking it for anxiety mostly. I had lost weight due to extreme anxiety, and then gained it all back on Paxil, plus some. But, I wasn't exercising or eating very well, either. Effects really do vary for everyone. Please keep in contact w/ your doctor about any side...

Stuck on a plateau since vacation - suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I know that things won't change drastically in a week, or even in a few weeks. I'm more frustrated with my state of mind than anything else. Also frustrated w/ my 37 year old body, LOL! I was talking w/ DH this evening about being constantly exhausted, and...

Stuck on a plateau since vacation - suggestions?

Hi all, I have been stuck on a plateau all of August, and it's getting so frustrating! I made some good progress towards my goal (losing bodyfat and inches) during July, then went on a 12 day vacation at the end of July and came back several pounds heavier. OK, so then I tried to jump right...

    "Clean" eating favorites

RE: For breakfast I eat Wheetabix or Shredded Wheat w/ fruit and 0%fat greek yogurt or nonfat natural yogurt; or rolled oats w/ a little milk, shredded apple, and again yogurt. Combines fruit, low-GI carbs and protein in one yummy dish. Lunch is often a wholemeal pita w/ grilled chicken...
