    Cats....why do they DO that???

We call it "testing gravity." Our cat, Ripley, won't do something like that for the longest time and then one day it's like he says, "hmmm...I wonder if gravity still works? Yep, sure does."

Did you ever notice Lorraine in KPC?

I also don't post often, but had to jump in here. In GS Legs, after the first set of calf raises, someone off camera must say something about Cathe's count being wrong or something. You can see all the girls behind her start to smile really big and then Cathe smiles and says, "Don't worry...

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL 9/27/08 - Hilarious!!!

As far as the media not focusing as much on Biden's remarks as Palin's, I put the fault directly on the shoulders of the McCain camp. Biden is out there every...single...day talking at rallies, to members of the press, and giving interviews. If he makes a few gaffes, it's not as big of a deal...

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL 9/27/08 - Hilarious!!!

Oh, if only this were all a bad movie instead of real life: http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1831461

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL 9/27/08 - Hilarious!!!

SirenSongWoman, I felt exactly the same way that you did about Hillary, and now I'm feeling exactly the way you are about wishing he HAD chosen her. What I really don't understand are the former Hillary supporters who are falling in line behind Palin. WTH?? The only thing those two women...

Do any of you ever regret NOT having kids?

Here! Here! Whenever anyone asks me if I have children, I always feel like I have to explain myself. Yet, like you, I've never said, "Do you have kids? You do? Why?" LOL It's a personal decision and no one should have to explain why they did or did not have children. And yet I feel...

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL 9/27/08 - Hilarious!!!

That was hysterical. Tina Fey is so good, it's scary. She has all her mannerisms and her voice down perfectly. Sadly, the actual Couric-Palin interview was almost that funny.

    Holy DOMS, Batman! Help!

Pinny...thanks for your comment. It's good to know I'm not alone! CollinsMom...I do the warm up and stretches that Cathe does before and after the workout. Now that you brought it up, I wonder if I should spend additional time afterwards doing my own stretches?

    So, who won the debate?

For anyone who thinks that God is "against" gays, please watch this movie if you ever get the opportunity: http://www.forthebibletellsmeso.org/indexd.htm It is a very fair look at the Bible's stance on homosexuality and puts it in perspective. People love to point to the "homosexuality is...

    Holy DOMS, Batman! Help!

Oh, and if it helps, here's my typical workout week: Day 1: Cardio Day 2: GS Back, Shoulders, Bis Day 3: Cardio Day 4: GS Legs Day 5: Cardio (found that skipping this makes the DOMS worse) Day 6: GS Chest, Triceps Thanks again!

    Holy DOMS, Batman! Help!

Okay, looking for some advice here. I'm really not sure what to do. I have been doing GS Legs once a week since April. EVERY time I do it, I have DOMS. Every single time. Sometimes they're slight and only last a day. Other weeks are worse. And if I skip a week like last week (oral...

    State Fair Foods

Gimme a good old-fashioned state fair corn dog anyday. For some reason, they just don't taste the same anywhere else. I do have to admit that I threw up in my mouth a little when I read about the Texas Fried Jelly Bellies. Gag!

Do any of you ever regret NOT having kids?

I know I'm a little late getting in on this post but... I'm 41 and my DH and I have been together since we were 18. Got married when we were 25. Neither one of us has ever wanted children and we're both very happy with that decision. Sometimes I'm around people with children, even if...

    weight gain?????

I can totally relate. I'm up about 3 pounds since I started lifting with Cathe. It also freaks me out, although it doesn't sound like much. Like you, my weight had stabilized at around 121 and I was loving it. I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter because my clothes still feel the...

    COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!

BOOMER SOONER! If you couldn't tell...I'm an Oklahoma fan and I am SO happy that the long dry non-college-football season is almost over. Bring it on! :D

    Core Max

I like section 2 and the Tough Core premix. The planks at the end of the Tough Core premix just kill me, but in a good way. Putting planks at the end of a tough ab workout is just plain mean. :D

    Help me choose

Sigh. Yes, I'm resigned to the fact that I will be getting many, MANY more DVDs. And the way I look at it, it's still cheaper than a gym membership on a yearly basis (if I pace myself, that is). I should mention that I don't think, with my personality, that I would find the slow stuff boring...

    Help me choose

Hi, I'm a relative Cathe-newbie. Just started with her in April and I'm hooked! So of course I'm trying to decide what to get next. I currently have the GS series. I'm trying to decide between S&H and Pyramids. So c'mon fellow Cathe-ites. Cast your vote here. :D

    3 Squares a Day

I can't tell you how relieved I am to read this post. I have honestly tried to eat mini-meals but I just can't do it. Like others have said, I feel hungry ALL the time. Plus, I am another one who enjoys sitting down to a full meal with DH at night. I read "You: On a Diet" about 2 years...

    frustation over clueless family members!

I'm with everyone else in that I just don't bring it up unless someone else does. I'm down 40 pounds from my highest weight with a combo of clean eating and exercise, and have maintained my weight for 2 years. Occasionally, I'll get asked...how did you do it. When I say "diet and exercise,"...
