Interesting research on high-fructose corn sweetener

Thanks for the article and link! I used to "pooh pooh" this stuff, but started reading about it and realized there's real scientific evidence supporting the correlation between HFCS and obesity.

Interesting research on high-fructose corn sweetener

from the study: "Rats with 12-h access to HFCS gained significantly more body weight than animals given equal access to 10% sucrose, even though they consumed the same number of total calories, but fewer calories from HFCS than sucrose..."

Daily Check In, Monday March 28

Oooh, I am so jealous of everyones' workouts, 'cause I haven't exercised in five days. :o Due to Lil'Zippity's tonsillectomy, we've been up and down a lot in the night, and frankly I'm a bit tired. It's fine, 'cause he's doing a lot better today. On a positive note, I ordered Bob...

    Daily Check-In Thursday 3/24

Tammy-You're in the northeast US, right? I think you're having a mini-ice age up there...it's like three winters wrapped up into one! We had three significant snowfalls here, which is more than we've had in the last ten years, combined! Carmen-I hope you get to see Gianna real...

    Daily Check-In Monday 3/21

Good Morning!!! :D Walking at lunchtime is wonderful! You're energized for the entire afternoon; and it helps prevent post-lunch let-down nap attack! My seven year-old runs like a little wild-man around the neighborhood with his friends, and of course he's "much too old for mom to follow...

Daily Check in Weekend Mar 19 & 20

Awww, Gianna is so beautiful! :D Today was S90 Core Dynamics and the first segment of Sarah Lurie's Iron Core Bootcamp-it's kinda tough with the 25lb kettlebell! Another "short" workout, but I just haven't had time to do STS this week. :(

Daily Check In, Thursday March 17

Hello! Today was Jackie Warner's Xtreme Time Saver Workout, approx. 34 mins. It's a good workout utilizing compound upper/lower body exercises. High reps, low weights, which is complete opposite of STS Meso 2; mix it up is good, Cathe says... This is spring break so my workout schedule has...

p90x+..enough lower body? and p90x vs. sts

    Working out in pants??

Letssee, I'm extra picky about workout pants... I love to run outdoors when it's freezing cold, so in the wintertime I practically live in Sugoi subzero long tights with a running skort over them...In the summer it's knee-length running tights or shorts. I bought a new pair for spring, and...

    Daily Check-In Thursday 3/10

Good morning! I've finished the three STS workouts for this week and there's not a place on my body that's not sore, so today will be a rest day. Maybe some yoga this afternoon, but only if I feel fresh. Tomorrow will prolly be S90 Tabata inferno, wheee! Love this one! I'm enjoying...

Besides Rockin Music, What Do You Love to Hear When Working Out?

I've been listening to a lot of latin and Brasilian music lately...Love it when I'm working out and I get easily bored with the music on my workout dvds.

    Safe Tan

Jergens Natural Glow is pretty good. I like St. Tropez self tanning creme, it's tinted so you can see where it has been applied and areas that you've missed. Also, it doesn't seem to smell quite as bad as some of the others. It's definitely not an orangy tan...I've got fair native american...
