    Kirstie Alley on Oprah today

"In the end, it IS your fault and until you accept responsibility for your own self, with an eye on permanent change, you're living in Fantasyland." Stacey D, I love your post! But what you said above, hits the nail on the head exactly!!! Gayle, what's really sad, is millions of...

Hi Sandra, I just wanted to tell you how inspiring you are!! Great job at losing and maintaining. I have about 100lbs to lose and have finally kicked the word "diet" out of my vocabulary and am learning to eat clean - I've been exercising for about 2 years now; goes to show how important...

    Kirstie Alley on Oprah today

I think I understand what you are saying. I am currently overweight by about 100lbs, and no I don't like it, but my self-destructive patterns of weightloss/weightgain have been keeping me in hermit mode. I used to be so outgoing, tons of friends, always going out, had boyfriends - but once I...

I literally have a pain in the butt!

Yesterday I was given a link for a fantastic you-tube video showing 3 excellent exercises for this - the no. 4 stretch was two of them (done different ways). The pain is almost gone already - though it does come back at bit. Atleast I can stand up, sit down, and walk without pain, most of the...

I literally have a pain in the butt!

Me too!! I'm so mad at myself because I was finally at a point where I could do the whole workout again, aarrggh!! It is painful, and the worst part is that sometimes I'll find a position so I can't feel the pain, so I'll forget about and start to move - and ouch!

I literally have a pain in the butt!

Have any of you ever heard of the piriformis muscle? It is a small muscle under the gluteus maximus and the sciatic nerve passes immediately below the piriformis muscle (from the web). There is apparantly piriformis syndrome. Anyway, i think I injured/pulled/ripped it doing the dynamic outer...

Advice re: getting back into Cathe workouts

Thank you! Clare, Thank you! I had not thought of it that way at all, but it makes total sense. I used to be a competitive swimmer, and I bet if I got back in the pool there is no way I could swim the way I used to first time in! Rapid Breath, I did the whole low max today with mini...

Advice re: getting back into Cathe workouts

Thank you!! That was kind of what I thought, but wanted to make sure someone else thought that too! :) I have looked into the STS program, and it is currently on my wish list - hopefully I'll be able to get it in the next couple of months. Thanks for both of your advice! Kirsten

Advice re: getting back into Cathe workouts

I apologize for this being so long! About 6 months ago I decided to join the gym for something different. I went 5 days a week, sometimes 6 or 7 depending on how I felt. For my cardio I, at first, alternated between the recumbant bike and the treadmill, but eventually went to only treadmill...
