    GYM? OR NO GYM?

Definitely don't do gym weight work AND STS at home. Either take STS to the gym somehow, as mentioned above (Meso 3 would be better to do in the gym than at home, IMO, unless you have a safety squat rack at home). You could find some way to rip the audio onto an MP3, perhaps. Or you could do...

    supplements

multivitamin (Dr. Fuhrman's, which DOESN't contain ingredients that studies suggest could be harmful (like vitamin A/beta carotene, which can increase cancer risk if taken in supplement form and folic acid--ditto) D (in winter) I prefer to use whole foods as supplements (like chlorella, maca...

    Kim Catrell is Brittish?!?!!!!!!

On a related note: I'm always surprised (though perhaps no longer) when I find that many TV actors are British or Australian, and talk with an accent when they're not on the show: Ana Torv and the guy who plays Walter Bishop on "Fringe" The guy who plays "House" The star of "The Mentalist" ...

    20 Second Fitness

Mindy Mylrea also has some 4-minute workouts on Youtube that folllow this protocol. She also has a DVD program called "360 Miracle" that is built around daily 6-minute workouts like this (each include 1 minute of warm-up and 1 minute of cooldown). It's a lot cheaper than Larson's program.

    Food processor vs. blender

I have a 7-cup Cuisinart (prepping food mostly just for myself) and I love it, though I've had it for about 7 years, and I've heard that newer ones might not be built as well. IIRC, Kitchenaid has some with two bowls: one larger (maybe 11 cups?) and one smaller (maybe 4?), which would make it...

    Food processor vs. blender

I have both a blender (Vitamix) and a food processor, and use both. IMO, both are an essential kitchen tool. Each will give a different texture.

Worlds most absurd warning signs & disclaimers - hysterical

LOL! Those are great! I've seen some odd warnings in user manuals usually those translated from some language into English). Re: the Ipod shuffle. I assume it's someone translating from Japanese, who means to say 'do not put in mouth' (because there is lead in it). And I'd bet money that the...

    Treadmill Intervals

There are many ways to do interval workouts, with work/rest intervals measured by distance or time. I do track interval workouts. Here's one of my favorites you could adapt to the treadmill (though on a treadmill you could vary incine as well as speed). Warm-up: 5-10 minutes of easy-pace...

    Any College Profs in CatheNation?

Hi, JT I'm a French professor. Do you have a PhD? In general, you will need one to be a full-time, tenure-track professor at a college, though it can vary based on department and university. Some of my now-retired (or deceased) collegues got a position with either an ABD (all but dissertation)...

    leaving a bad/abusive situation

{{{nightowl}}}} I don't have any input on shelters, but I agree that a local animal rescue group or a vet would be the first people to approach for fostering your cats. Or do you have friends or family that could help you out? Are both your and this guy's name on the lease? I agree that he...

    Using mini-trampoline for high-intensity drills

Depends on the moves. Sometimes yes, sometimes I modify by going in the same general direction, but doing a diffferent move. For example, a step/touch move can be a jack or a 'pony' from one side to the other (right-left-right, left-right-left).
