    Week of 3/2 Pregnancy Check-in

Clarissa, I don't have and answer about why women hold onto their babies longer than others. Sorry. Unreal about your clients. I cannot believe that. I hate to even write this, but I would drop them like a bad habit as it really seems like they are only about themselves. Have you laid...

Do you re-wash bagged salad and veggies?

I'm terrible in that I don't, but I know I should. I'm just so lazy. With a full-, and part-time job, I would rather take the risk with pre-bagged veggies. Either that or I buy frozen.

    Week of 3/2 Pregnancy Check-in

Jess--you bet I'll be here with you! I'm sure we'll have some lurkers. But knowing our conversations, there won't be a problem with keeping up the topics. ;) In fact, we're about a week apart. Hey, wouldn't it be great if we ended up delivering on the same day!

    Powerblocks vs Selectech dumbells

I have the SelectTech DBs. Even though they are expensive to start with, they easily paid for themselves within four weeks. I love them and use them almost everyday.

Are you not happy unless you're sore?

I love being sore. I know the whole hype about not having to be sore to get something out of the workout. However, I am usually sore somewhere in my body most days of the week and I love it! I get lots of feedback (mostly from men) about my definition and besides the benefit of what lifting does...

    Week of 3/2 Pregnancy Check-in

Bummer. I have to drive to northern Germany tomorrow morning to give a briefing to the British Army. I'll be back on Friday. Sorry! I'll miss out on the phone call at least for a few days. :(

    increasing flexablity and tight hamstrings

ITA. I used to run--A LOT (!!!) and found that it was only after not running for almost a year and doing tons of yoga (5-6 days/week 60-90 min/session) that my flexibility came back. Not fun if you don't love it. As a Registered Yoga Instructor (200+ with Yoga Alliance), I recommend starting...

    Week of 3/2 Pregnancy Check-in

Wow. So, right when the baby is born, I'll give her/him the colostrum (is that what I'm squeezing out????) and then the milk comes? How are you feeling? Need/want to vent? :(

    ? for Marathon'ers

Hi Lori, I've done 6 marathons, but don't run much anymore as I burned out on it. I've trained for marathons (and trained many clients to successfully complete their own) and successfully completed the training on as little as 40 miles a week up to 70 miles a week. My biggest feedback is that...

    Week of 3/2 Pregnancy Check-in

Tana--your FIL seems like a jerk (no offense--maybe just insensitive, but of course he's never been pregnant)! Skyy--I can't wait to see the pics! Jess--I'm having gas too. I actually woke myself up twice last night. And I've seriously considered getting a massage. Other than that, my...

    Advice on P90X

    1. Is it a beginner workout? It's not a beginner's workout. If she smokes and does't exercise, I wouldn't recommend it. 2. What is the average time length of the workouts? 45-60 minutes with warm up and cool down. 3. Did you find it was easy to stick to the program? Yes, but it was really...

Week of 2/23 Pregnancy Check in

Thanks Jess! That's exactly what I needed to hear! I was up about 3-4 times last night--Ryan was sitting just underneath my right ribs and then all the way down to my left hip bone. S/he seemed to be "laying" out like I used to on the beach! I'm still in my regular clothes (those that were a...
