? for work related issue/ law issue?

Wow. Umm.... wow. First... since it's personal email, there probably isn't any way you can address it from a corporate perspective. (Of course, this assumes you're part of a larger corporation and it's not just a mom-and-pop type joint.) It would be different if it was your corporate account...

    mp3 vs. ipod...which one do I choose?

How much is a subscription to Napster?? Of course they don't make it obvious on their site, ugh. I just bought my son a new Nano. He had a Shuffle but - dummy me - it ended up going through the wash. UGH. Anyway, it worked out for him since he wanted the larger size, lol. I'm trying to...

I am going to quit posting on this board!!

Candi, I'll send you one if you like. :D :D :D Seriously, Carola, I'm sorry for your experience. I think people sometimes just suck. I mean, it's one thing to have a discussion or even an argument here... or even just post irrationally (eh-hem, I am so guilty of this, thankfully most of the...

    Today I'm thankful for

    1. My new fuzzy pink, rhinestone-encrusted flip flops. 2. High speed Internet that allows me to work from home and wear #1 at will. 3. The library, which allows me to indulge in my excessive reading habit for only minimal late fees. :-) 4. The kiddies and fur babies, of course. :)

Pet owners - which flea medication?

Actually, not to be argumentative, but if your animal has fleas and has had them for some time (i.e., to the point where you are scratching, too), you MAY need to have your house treated. Otherwise, you still have eggs in the carpet and they will hatch. Once you've treated the animals, at the...

    OT: REALLY stupid question

If the shoes are coming off when you're walking, they're either the wrong size or just not a good fit for your foot. Unfortunately, this is true of many high heels and particularly sandals. I have never had luck buying such shoes online because the fit is always questionable (meaning they just...

how long did it take for it to become a habit?

"They" say it takes about 21 days to form a habit (but only a few to lose it!). I would say it will take you a couple of weeks to adjust... but it will be worth it if it lets you get your workouts in more regularly. Good luck! Marie

I am going to quit posting on this board!!

Carola, I'm sorry to hear that. You can set up your profile so that folks can't send you email, you know. (Or maybe they have your address through other routes, I don't know.) Anyway, I hope it works out for you. :) Marie

    Barry's Bootcamp vs P90X

If you are looking for RESULTS, I would definitely say P90X. It is absolutely the best strength-training program on the market. Most of the cardio in the program isn't that intense, but it's not designed to be. I couldn't get rid of BBC fast enough, personally! Marie

    Attacked by dog

Oh, my goodness, I'm so sorry! I do hope your neighbor addresses the issue. I don't know WTH is wrong with people who don't keep their pets leashed and/or penned and/or generally out of the public!

    What is it with Walmart??

Hey, Beavs, I meant to mention, if you haven't read it yet, you should check out, "The World is Flat," by (I think) Thomas Friedman. It is a very interesting look at globalization trends and discusses the impact of Walmart (and UPS, IBM, and a couple of other companies) at some length. I enjoyed...

Is sweat the best medicine for a cold?

    >I have a pretty nasty sinus infection right now and like you, >I've been absolutely drained of energy. I literally slept all >day yesterday and most of today. Feel better, Michele!!! ((hugs)) I actually finished my entire course of antibiotics, which I never do (I know, that's bad)...

help me bring my cathe dvd collection to 12

IMAX2 is one of my fave all-time workouts. It is VERY intense - it's sort of like the Scrambled Eggs premix on BM2, without the leg work (i.e., a step section followed by a power interval... 10 times!). I think you should get it. :)

    The Tudors!

Ok, then, who was the wife after Anne? It was Mary someone, right? Because Anne give birth to Elizabeth and then someone (I am assuming it was one of the next wives since there was so much contention over who would get the throne) had Mary. Anyone know offhand? ETA - ok, I checked Wiki. Mary...

    The Tudors!

Actually, Mary was another Boleyn sister and I'm pretty sure he married her at some point after chopping off Anne's head. The obsession with male heirs and all.... Laura, I never heard of the third sister. But then I haven't read any historical accounts recently. I did read "The Other Boleyn...

    What is it with Walmart??

    >I feel really bad. I offended Marie which I did not intend >to do at all and now we're attacking Canadians. Soon there >will be images of Sam Walton burning in effigy and Labatt's >Blue beer bottle lobbed across the border. Beavs, please don't feel bad. I'm sorry if I offended you in...

    What is it with Walmart??

Peeps, PLEASE take your political agendas elsewhere. This was meant to be a fun and HUMOROUS thread. Sheesh, this is why I rarely come to this board any more. People take themselves far too seriously.

    What is it with Walmart??

I don't even like that store. It's dirty, crowded, people are rude, and there's never enough cashiers. And yet.... every time I go there, I spend at least $200. EVERY TIME. It's like a money sucking hole in the ground. Last night I went for cleaning stuff and pet supplies; the prices are...

    The Tudors!

I caught one episode last weekend (the one where Anne Boleyn is entering the picture). I can't wait to see more! I didn't even realize it was a series, I thought it was one of those mini-series things. Thanks for the heads up! Marie

Is sweat the best medicine for a cold?

I am just getting over a NASTY sinus infection that absolutely knocked me off my feet for the last two weeks. I have spent so much time on the couch that I'm pretty sure my body is now imprinted there. Anyway, I couldn't work out at all (never mind working out, doing laundry was exhausting!)...
