Does anyone else love Step Jump and Pump?

I just love this workout soooooo much. I really needed something to motivate me (the day after Thanksgiving) and this one really did it. I think it is just a perfect workout. The music is fabulous....so motivating. And the weight work really "worked" me. I think this is one of Cathe's best.

    An embarrassing question

Thanks to all who replied, I do feel so much better now.....I really could not imagine giving up my weight training because I love the results. I also should mention that my avatar was taken about 4 1/2 years ago...so I was closer to 46.....but don't tell anyone!!!!!!!!Believe me......a few...

    An embarrassing question

I am 50 years old and my gynocologist told me today that he doesn't think lifting heavy weights is a good thing for my female organs. He said that childbirth and that impending menopause makes the vagina drop somewhat and that heavy weight lifting can be very bad for me. Is this possible? I...

Overall REVIEW of the Four Day Split....

I haven't been giving them much of a "chance" because I find the step cardio very complicated and I don't think I'm getting much of a workout just staring at the TV. I do love the kickboxing and follow up weight work, and I liked Bootcamp, but it is not user friendly for me, as I workout in my...

New Yorkers: Advice on Family Life in NYC?

I live both in Rockland County and New York City (moved into the city when I got remarried 3 years ago, but still hanging on to my condo) and I teach in Rockland County, so I guess I am the perfect person to reply to your post. There are many good schools in the city, but I think most of...

I used coasters for "markers" in Boot Camp

I work out in my living room and it just seemed so much easier to grab my set of coasters to use as markers and spacers. I love this workout, but it is not neighbor friendly at all....particularly the drill where you're running back and forth with weights and picking them up and putting them...

I Am Trying A New Approach To Working Out!! Eeeek!! (kinda long)

RE: I Am Trying A New Approach To Working Out!! Eeeek!!... I bought both NYC ballet tapes and thought I would love them....but to be honest, I was never so bored in my life. I wanted to love them sooooo much because I used to take ballet, but I wound up selling both.

Could someone comment on the new Kickboxing.....

I did this one this morning and LOVED IT!!!! I liked that the intensity level was high and that there weren't so many repetetive combos as there are in KPC and Kick Max. It was so much fun and a perfect 30 min. cardio workout. The warmup was also great.

Is Working Out Less Sometimes More?

I am a First Grade teacher and September is always crazy for me. I've been very consistent with working out about 5 to 6 times a week, even during the summer....except for one week. Well, I decided to lighten up my workout schedule since the beginning of Sept. because I really couldn't keep it...

    I went from 6" to 4" to 0" with

RE: I went from 6 What's ironic is that I recently posted how I took a week off from working out because I too was feeling burnt out.....that's why I was so upset about IMAX 3, I thought that after my week off and working out for a few days prior to trying it, I'd be okay. I will give this...

    I went from 6" to 4" to 0" with

Imax 3. I've been doing Cathe's workouts since January and today was the first day I attempted this workout. I was wiped out after the 1st interval. I love Imax 2 and the original IMAX, but I don't know if I'll ever get this one down. I think it's just too high impact for me. I don't know if...

    For Hemp Eaters

I've bought these bagels and even posted about them. I don't know if I love them or hate them. There is definitely a fishy smell about them, but they're so jammed pack with nutrients and the taste isn't as bad as the smell. I even had my DH smell the bag because I was wondering if I was just...

So glad I took a week off from working out!

I haven't taken a week off from working out in about a year. The most I took off was maybe 3 days in a row and of course, I take a rest day about every 5 or 6 days. And the last vacation we took, I worked out at the hotel gym. Well, my week off was the best thing I could do. I felt I was...

are all men hard to communicate with

I don't think you can generalize. My first husband was very difficult to communicate with. He did not respond well to my "suggestions" (of any nature). My second husband is much more communicative, listens to me and always takes my suggestions under consideration. HOWEVER, sometimes I still...
