Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I think I'll start w/the cheapest one and give the baking soda a try.

    Workout Clothes

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem. I sweat A LOT when I workout, as I'm sure a lot of people do. My shirts especially get soaked, and when I wash them without bleach, they don't come out totally clean smelling all the time. I've used bleach in the past...

    home spinning reccomendations/opinions dvd's

I actually really like the spinervals series. I had never taken a spin class, nor cycled before, but the spinervals DVDs for me are a great workout. I am able to get my heartrate up to the same level that I achieve when doing an IMAX or other comparable workout. The first couple times I tried...

    PC version of FitDay

I also have it and I agree with Cathy that you can do more w/the PC version than the online version. There are many different report types available to view which can be interesting. I think it's worth the money if you enjoy using Fitday.

Hi Janie, Where did you buy this? After reading your glowing review, I tried to find one, and it seems to be discontinued :( Thanks, Doreen

    SPINNING BIKE

After reading a lot of reviews on here and other sites, I just bought the Lemond Revmaster online at this site: http://brandscycle.com/itemdetails.cfm?catalogId=39&id=2027 The shipping was free and it came in 3 days after I ordered it. I love this bike so far; it is very comfortable, quiet...

    HIIT...help, please!

30 minutes should definitely be enough from what I've read if you work the intervals as hard as you can. I've even seen some HIIT workouts of only 20 minutes. One good website to check out is: http://walking.about.com/od/treadmillworkouts/a/treadmillhiit.htm?terms=HIIT It has a sample...

    HIIT...help, please!

Hi Tia, An example of HIIT using a treadmill could be the following: Minutes 0-4: warmup - easy jog or fast walk Minutes 5-6: sprint as fast as you can Minutes 7-8: jog/walk to recover Repeat minutes 5-6 and 7-8 between 5-10 times Cool down for 5 minutes If you're more into...

    Binge Eating

Thank you so much everyone who replied. It definitely feels really good to know that I'm not alone in this and that others have and do face the same feelings and struggles. I am trying to take it one day at a time. Hopefully I'll be able to either stop the bingeing using a lot of the...

    Binge Eating

Thanks Tracy :) I have tried using food journals (Fitday.com), but this actually made it worse. It made me even more obsessed with every single ounce of food going into my mouth. I do like the idea though of writing down what I'm feeling when I do lose control or feel like I might...maybe...

    Binge Eating

Ashley, That really makes a lot of sense to me. I usually workout in the morning, work a long day, and then come home and feel that all I want to do is relax by the TV. This is probably the worst thing for me to do. I know that I have an "anxious" brain, and so when I'm not focusing on...

    Binge Eating

Thanks for the replies. I have never purged after a binge, but I do sometimes bump up the exercise the next day to make up for it. As far as weight gain, I am basically the same weight...I have gained maybe 5 lbs since my low point, but they were probably needed pounds. I am usually happy...

    Binge Eating

Has anyone struggled with binge eating in the past and successfully moved past it? I had always been very active and health conscious throughout high school and college, running and lifting weights and eating very healthfully. After college, I went through a crazy period where I stopped...

    Mix-n-Max premix from Cardio Fusion

Hi Lorrie, This is a great, kick butt workout. It is the same as the regular Cardio Fusion workout w/the BM2 combo done 2x and the order of the rest of the parts mixed up a little. I forget the exact order of the workout, but it is an 80 minute killer. Doreen

    magazine rotations

Hi Debbie, Thank you for posting this - it looks great. Maybe when I'm done w/the M+F rotation I'll give this a shot :) Doreen

    magazine rotations

Just adding to my original question - besides magazine rotations, if anyone knows of any other source of good advanced weight lifting rotations, that would be great as well. Thanks, Doreen

    magazine rotations

Hi Debbie, I am doing it as written. It is a little unbalanced, with the legs being hit pretty hard each week. But that is something that is different for me, and different means change. The first 2 weeks of 6-8 reps for all the exercises was VERY different and let me lift much heavier...

    magazine rotations

Hi everyone, I am currently on week 3 of the Muscle and Fitness Hers January (I think) 6 week Advanced weight lifting rotation. I am LOVING it. I have been lifting for a long time and have been in somewhat of a plateau and this workout is definitely making me feel like I'm making progress...
