    Re: "how to run" :) that actually is not a bad question at all !! I think what happens for a lot of beginning runners is they start too fast, push too hard and find it awkward, too strenuous, etc.. and quit. Go easy on yourself...start with a light jog then walk some then jog a little more...

    Personally, i think there's a lot to be said for our body's innate wisdom and tuning into how we feel from consuming certain foods and/or certain macronutrient ratios.     I'm torn too ! The undulating periodization format really appeals to me too...it's actually hard for me to NOT tamper with the STS format in that way already ! Am exercising self restraint :p I may do a month of full body alternating with increasing my run distances every other day OR do...

    Lean legs for the summer

    Running or run/walk intervals are my absolute best friend for shaping and shrinking legs :) for anyone who's never been a runner, you'll be amazed how quickly you build endurance, burn fat and shape your legs - compared to other forms of cardio - nothing beats it in my experience !! Good luck !

    Hey y'all - thanks again for all the encouragement :) One update that might encourage others as well - I re-measured to compare with pre-STS and ALL measurements were the same - my hips actually shrunk 1/2" - I think my muscles have gotten denser or something - they're certainly firmer/more...

    You guys are awesome, thanks for the replies ! Yes, it did drop probably 1.5-2lbs during recovery, but was VERY prompt to come back on startup again...so, muscle + fluid probably? And, I'm hoping lots more water will help maybe ? :p More water sounds better than less food anyway :eek: ...
