    Complex Step Choreography wanted

Thanks Cathe! Great info! The "Elvis" always makes me laugh. Leave it to Australians to name a step move after an American. ;) Yes, I think Steve is Rebecca's husband. He's one of her "backup babes" in a DVD & she makes fun of him much more than everyone else, so I figure they must be...

    KCM's Stepboxing--so disappointed!

I've been looking for some more KB workouts b/c step is a bit painful for me w/this awful bunion. So based on all the rave reviews I bought KCM's 30 minutes to fitness Stepbox, which has 2 short workouts on it, & her other stepbox DVD. Well, I had to do all 3 this morning just to burn 350...

    Complex Step Choreography wanted

Rebecca rocks! You should try her other DVDs. They're almost all absolutely amazing. That woman is genius. Her choreo is brilliant. You'll notice after you've done all of her DVDs that every other instructor on this thread is pretty much inspired by Rebecca w/their own spin. And a second...

Can anyone recomend a good fiber supplement

Fidget, what kind of enzymes do you take? Someone else suggested them to me as well, but the brand she suggested is only sold in the UK. I just started taking probiotics last week & they are helping. I'm a big label reader & regardless of brand/price, they all seemed to have the same main...

How about 1.5 lb weighted gloves?

Or, alternatively, gloves that come with quarter pound inserts instead of half or whole pound? I've found the 1.5 lb gloves to be the perfect weight for KB. 1 lbs is too light, 2 lbs is too heavy. 1.5 lbs is just right.

Can anyone recomend a good fiber supplement

OK, based on responses I will try the chia seeds. If I can mix them with anything I'll just put them in whatever I have for lunch--usually a salad. Thanks again ladies! I knew I could count on you for great info!

    Has anyone done TRX training?

Yes! I love it. I got the system for my home gym & have used it a couple of times, had fantabulous soreness, esp. in my obliques, for 2 days after. I've actually scheduled a session w/one of my club's PTs this Saturday b/c there is something of a learning curve to it (exactly what level the...

Can anyone recomend a good fiber supplement

Chia seeds, huh? Never heard of them. I won't get a plant in the shape of a head growing in my small intestine, will I? ;) I'll check it out, thanks. Trying to avoid psyllium. It's a laxative (the main ingredient in most laxatives & cleanses, in fact). I'm trying to go the natural route...

    Bunion surgery?

Wellllllllll, as it turns out, no surgery. Hooray! My podiatrist said he would positively, absolutely, NOT recommend surgery for someone with my activity level. He said the psychological effects would be worse than the current pain LOL. And also that good results were not a guarantee, so it...

    Bunion surgery?

YIKES! Gosh Heidi, I am so sorry you're having such a difficult time! How are you feeling now that it's been a few weeks? I don't think my procedure will be as extensive as yours--I'm pretty sure I won't need to have the bone restructured or pins, just bone shaving. I hope anyway. Will know...

    Best DVDs for floor work?

On my other foot thread I mentioned I'll be getting surgery so I won't be able to do standing leg work. I have B&G & L&G. Any other recommendations for my recovery period?

    Bunion surgery?

LOL! You guys are funny. Elaine, I might consider the pf surgery, but right now I need to resolve this bunion. I cannot tell you how much it's freaking me out. I always thought bunions were something little old ladies with twisted feet got. :o Alisha, I will be seeing an ortho surgeon, so...

    Bunion surgery?

Yes, my latest foot post. As it turns out, not only do I have PF, tendonitis & heel spurs, I also have bunions. Oh, & arthritis in my left ankle. Is there anyone out there who'd like to donate their feet to me in the spirit of the holidays? ;) So, surgery is in my future for sure. Darn but...

And now for something completely different......

Yes, thank you Marie. LOL at the Red Deer thing! Sorry about that! Rebecca Small is really really amazing (as is Cathe, but in a different way ;)). I have all the DVDs she made with Fitness Organica. They are SOOOOOOOOOO FUN! Australians have apparently taken step in a totally different...

And now for something completely different......

www.fitnessfx.com Has anyone else discovered these DVDs yet? OMG! It is gonna crush my wallet. Everyone else is getting coal for Xmas b/c I want EVERY SINGLE DVD on this site. They have step, KB, plyo, & more (haven't had time to peruse the entire selection yet). The DVDs seem to be...

Is there anyone who's had PF & found a cure?

Thanks everyone! I never go barefoot. The germophobe in me won't allow it. I still remember my HS health class when I learned you could pick up parasites by walking barefoot (yeah I do have my problems don't I? LOL!). I have custom orthodics. For my sneakers, my work shoes and my skates...

Is there anyone who's had PF & found a cure?

Thanks Stebby. I've been working on all that stuff. He even gave me stretching contraptions to wear 30 minutes a day. My problem is no arch. Totally flat feet. Ridiculously flat feet. Probably if I gave up step I could ease the pain a bit (that's the tendonitis culprit, & my left foot is...

Is there anyone who's had PF & found a cure?

I was diagnosed over 2 years ago. I have it in both feet (along with heel spurs & tendonitis) & it's starting to seriously affect my lifestyle. High impact cardio is very painful. I started taking ice skating lessons last March for FUN and it's not much fun anymore b/c of the pain. :( Oh &...

    the gym vs exercise vids

I've been a regular gym-goer for 22 years & would NEVER give up my membership. I don't think there's any possible way I could be in the shape I'm in just by working out at home. I do 100% of my cardio at home, but I do probably 99% (I do have one core w/o I do at home) of my strength training...
