    New step platform

The Original Step is 56.84 on Amazon today. That's the lowest price I've seen for the Original Step in a long time. https://www.amazon.com/Step-Original-Aerobic-Platform-Health/dp/B0746XT9WX/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1533923958&sr=8-3&keywords=the+step

    Leg Press

One of my favorites also. Leg presses/step-ups: "I hate it....but I love it!" Lol.

Best HIIT workout for menopausal women?

I am perimenopausal. In the last few years, I have been packing on the pounds all over, as well as on my gut. I have to workout 6 days a week and watch what I eat/count calories just to maintain, let alone lose weight. A week or two off, and I easily put on 5 lbs. I went in for my annual...

    ADVANCED!!

I kind of feel like I have to bump this to the top again, with all the requests for "easy" workouts. I will also note that since XTrain (which was more intermediate-advanced) many years ago, we have not really had a fully comprehensive "advanced" series. (*Maybe* Ripped with Hiit counts, but I...

    routine ideas needed/feedback

The index contains rotations that Cathe puts together on a monthly basis. There are other people that post rotations to that forum as well, but the index I linked is for Cathe's rotations. Every month, she puts a rotation together and describes what the rotation is supposed to accomplish on...

    routine ideas needed/feedback

Hi @RubySue78 : I see you are new and thus may not have seen the "Video & DVD Rotations" forum on this site. If you click on the rotation index links in this forum, you will see descriptions of Cathe's monthly rotations and the links to those rotations. I find this very helpful in picking a...

Programs you've always wanted to do, but have never done.

Heheh. Once I finish my current round of XTrain, I think I am going to finally do a Jari Love rotation and then give Body Beast a try. Although I think it will be hard for me not to laugh initially at all that "beast" talk during the workout, Sagi does sound like he knows what he's doing in...

    New step platform

The previous link is for the circuit size step. The health club size step (which is what Cathe currently uses) is here: https://www.amazon.com/Step-Original-Aerobic-Platform-Health/dp/B0746XT9WX/ref=lp_14329881_1_2?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1531245126&sr=8-2

    Metabolic Workouts DVD List

@Beth-B-Fit: I think Cathe's Jan 2012 One Month Total Body Recharge rotation comes close. https://cathe.com/forum/threads/january-2012-double-rotation.287356/ Haven't done it yet, but it's on my short list.

Programs you've always wanted to do, but have never done.

Agree! Very fun thread. 1) Supreme 90 Day. Bought this a long time ago and NEVER used it! I keep meaning to start, but always get caught up in something else 2) Dasha Libin's Kettlebell Kickboxing 3) Michael Skogg's Skogg System Not really programs, but years ago, I put together rotations...

Every time you show up you get a bit better...right?

Cathe's workouts are very challenging. What I do if I haven't been working out at her level for a while, is work my way up to them with beginner/intermediate workouts from other DVDs I have. If you have just plunged into her workouts and are doing nothing else, I am not surprised that it is...

    Help Me with Travel workouts

There was a thread recently that asked this very question. Here: https://cathe.com/forum/threads/workouts-while-traveling.309757/

A little slower for us old folks

I get all of these comments, but I feel like that if Cathe goes at a certain pace, it is the "ideal" pace for that particular exercise and something to aspire to. If I can't keep up, I just work at my own pace with the particular weight I am at and ignore the pace of the DVD until I can work at...

    Metabolic Workouts DVD List

Based on this article from Cathe https://cathe.com/what-exactly-is-a-metabolic-workout/, I think these DVDs also qualify as metabolic: 1. X10 2. XTrain Tabatacise 3. All of her Hiit DVDs (Hiit, Hiit Circuit Lower Body, XTrain All Out Low Impact Hiit, Plyo Hiit, Hiit Circuit Upper Body) 4...

Best HIIT workout for menopausal women?

ckabonick - What seems to really tighten up the midsection for me are circuit workouts with an emphasis on the whole core, which unfortunately means tons of plank work and pushups. Cathe's workouts that feature gliding disk plank-based exercises in particular have really helped me firm up my...

Please more choreographed step workouts like Party Rockin!!

But if such a DVD is part of a full program (like RWH, XTrain, Strong and Sweaty, etc.) please make it optional (like Ride) or provide a suggested alternative to it in the main program rotation. Some of us that have two left feet simply cannot do complicated step routines.

    Running workouts

Heh. I think I have been too busy gasping for air during these to even notice the music! ;-) I agree, though. Great workouts that will no doubt improve your running. There is just something about what she says and how she says it that is incredibly encouraging and motivating. "Treadmill...

Best HIIT workout for menopausal women?

I'd love to see the answer to this question too :-) I'm going to guess that the answer isn't any single workout, but a rotation combining heavy weights and metabolic workouts like the one from Jan 2014.

    Running workouts

The tracks on the Treadmill Coach "albums" are meant to be played in order as a playlist for a complete workout. They are numbered and also shown as "stages". I don't know why she has a warmup A and B, but a complete warmup would be both tracks - A - which is easy and no incline. Then you...

    Like/review/verify/don't buy check in for 2016- 2024

Diane Sue - I had the original Firm workouts when they came out VHS, and they are so funny to watch now. I had the ones with Susan Harris, Janet Jones Gretzky and Sandahl Bergman. And I had one of those original wooden high"Box" steps. (The original high step challenge!) Sadly, an old...
