    Blocking my windpipe?

Hi all When I do an exercise like laying on my tummy across the ball, laying tummy down on the step doing lower back lifts, or doing side to side oblique twists I feel like it's hard to breathe --not from exertion but because I feel like it cuts of my windpipe or something. I try to keep my...

    Straddle ups jumps are hard!!

Thanks for all the feedback. Actually that's why I posted--it's always interesting to hear that some moves that some find easy, i find really difficult and vice versa. But I'm keeping my step at 3 risers and hopefully they will get easier. In addition to the cardio challenge I think straddles...

    Straddle ups jumps are hard!!

Just finished cardio leg blast!! Whew! But the round Cathe called a "gift" was the hardest for me. Those straddle jumps are killer in my opinion :-o. But I got a great workout!

How to start again after a month off

Thanks everyone! It's comforting to know I'm not the only one whose workout routine gets interrupted from time to time! I did the shortest workout today from the Timesaver series. Felt like a good way to get back into the swing of things. And while I was a little winded it felt good :-)

How to start again after a month off

I have not worked out in a month due to personal reasons (family emergency, travel for work, and other matters--no injuries or anything like that). Does anyone have any advice on getting started again--a rotation, etc? I'm afraid if I jump right back in with super advanced stuff I'll just end...

Cathe-what do you hear when filming a workout?

Hi Cathe I've always wondered, since you add music after you film a workout, what do you hear/listen to while you film to keep the beat? Excited for the new workouts! ??. Thanks! Leslie

    What size stability ball?

I'd like to order a new stability ball. My current one (from walmart) feels too small or maybe it's just under inflated. I'm 5'3. The cathe shop recommends the smaller 55 inch ball. Do most of you have that one and find its the right size or did you get the bigger one 65 in? Thanks!

What was your first Cathe workout video?

I remember clearly it was Step and Intervals from Cross Train Express. You do the warmup then a very intense step section and then there's a very clear break before the intervals. So I remember thinking the really intense step workout was the warmup! I thought if this is the warmup what is the...

Which LIS should not be worked back to back?

Hi Cathe I love the new series!! :-). Sometimes I make my own rotations and wondered about doing certain LIS workouts back to back. Since some of the workouts have cardio plus functional weight training can you do those on consecutive days (for example afterburn, cardio supersets and athletic...

    4 risers for leg presses

Does anyone else use just 4 risers for leg presses (most times in the DVDs they all use 5)? My legs can handle it just fine but my heart rate raises too much with 5. I hate to cheat my leg workout but it's much more aerobically "comfortable" with 4. I'm only 5'2 and short legged so maybe that...

    For those who epilate

Reporting back--I've used it 3 days in a row and the stubble is less and less. I guess I'm getting them as they pop out in the hair cycle. I'm going to keep with it since I can see smooth legs are in my near future--maybe in a few more days. It does sting a little but it's kind of "rewarding"...

    For those who epilate

I just bought one (a Braun) and used it for the first time last night. It removed a lot of hair on my legs but I'm still pretty stubbly. I think some are too short to grab yet. But I wondered how long it would take of doing this before i had smooth legs. Do you have to use it pretty...

Has anyone used the Tria home hair laser?

I've heard a lot about it lately. There are a lot of good reviews on amazon but also a lot of people saying those people were paid to write those. So I thought I would try the forum for a true opinion! Thanks!!
