    Ultimate yogi and weight training

For many years I did yoga twice a day. First thing in the morning and then again just before dinner. The late afternoon practice was followed by strength training. Both were paper workouts. I did this 6 days a week for years and was in great shape. The combination really worked for me.

"Old Lady Legs" (no offense meant)

I agree with what everyone has written. We are all so hard on ourselves at times. But you did ask if there was anything that anyone found helpful. For me it is barre.....Suzanne Bowen BarreAmped, Sadie Lincoln Barre3, Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis and also FeFit. Sure diet is important but I...

Sugar! To eat or not to eat?

My pet peeve. Try to find a ketchup without sugar. It is in all of them. When did this start to happen? I do remember when there was no sugar in ketchup. I don't really eat the stuff so no,problem but still it just shows that food manufacturers are putting sugar in everything. The book Fat...

Sugar! To eat or not to eat?

I found that once I gave up putting sugar in tea and coffee my sugar cravings decreased dramatically. I was only using a quarter teaspoon and it still helped. I don't like chocolate and have lost any desire for cookies or cake. I don't like stevia or any of the other sugar substitutes. I do...

    Amazon??

I have sold on amazon and find it very easy. Just check to see what the set is going for and click on one to sell. Follow the steps. Amazon will alert you when it sells. You ship,it to the buyer and amazon deposits the money in your bank account. They take a cut but there are no listing fees.

    Rest & Recovery?

I don't do very intense workouts any more so I generally take a day off every 10 days. I will take a week off rarely and only when my body says OK time for a weeks rest. I don't plan them. I do walk on those days off and my dog probably enjoys them too because he will get 4 or 5 walks a day...

Which PiYo package should I get?

You could go over to videofitness.com. There are lots of threads about Piyo. I got it when it first came out and was very excited about it. But I found it too repetitive and the first 2 discs were just useless...too easy. It is hard for me to remember that much about it. But I know I got...

    Successful De-Bulk??

Thank you Stacy. That is very interesting. I struggled with arms, shoulders and quads that were "bulkier" than I liked. I get past this with hi rep, lo weight and lots of barre, fusion and TA. I like the idea of very heavy weights and very short sets with long rests. You gave me something to...
