    Not so good news

RE: Carole, help! Kathy, Please also know that I in no way think the miscarriages were the result of you doing anything wrong. Most of the time they are due to chromosomal problems, which would have nothing to do with working out. However, it never hurts to be on the safe side next time...

    Not so good news

RE: Carole, help! No, I'm not a doctor. I just like to research different areas related to pregnancy, exercise, nutrition, and breastfeeding. I'm pregnant with my 3rd child right now, week 13. I think low-intensity aerobics are fine to do when trying to get pregnant, for the average...

    Not so good news

It is a FACT that high intensity workouts can affect your hormones, and affect getting pregnant. I know many of us like to ignore that info, but it's true. I've read it in many places, from very reputable MDs. Listen to your doctor, and cut down on the workouts. Try yoga and/or pilates...

    Hear me whine...please! (Close pregnancies)

Sorry I don't have any pearls of wisdom. Just wanted to let you know I feel for you. Seems like whatever you do, you need to keep exercise as part of your life. It seems that is a major stress releiver for you, and a lifestyle. So, whether or not you teach, just make sure you keep movin'...

    Any of you do yoga?

Smiley2, They are both good tapes, don't get me wrong. It's just what you are looking for. From what you have said, I thought you were looking for a more vigorous yoga workout. That's usually what I prefer. You will definately benefit from the Shiva Rea workout, that's a lot of people's...

    Any of you do yoga?

Smiley, Yes, I have that one. It's the one I said would bore you guys to death.... I personally like it, but it is slow-paced. It's a great tape, but it's mostly gentle stretching and more pure yoga. The poses are held for longer, and you will get no cardio out of it. Carole :)

    Any of you do yoga?

You guys, don't worry, yoga will give you a good workout. In a different way than Cathe. Cathe is great for cardio and muscle definition. Yoga is great for toning, in the same way pilates is. It stretches you out and helps give lean muscle tone. You will feel it. It will make your body and...

    Any of you do yoga?

Sounds like you guys do a pretty good job with cardio and weight training, but I don't hear too much about yoga. That is one of the best exercises you can do during pregnancy. It helps you relax, keeps you flexible, and helps prepare you for labor. I do Firms, and gym workouts 4 days a...

Finding the time to workout is so hard with a newborn

Don't forget, you can also get in exercise by walking. Just put her in the stroller or a carrier, and go for a power walk. That will help calm her, and you'll get some fresh air and cardio. Then, as she adjusts to your new schedules and life, you can add in some tapes and weights...

    Trying to get pregnate!

I tried to e-mail you, but it got returned. Here's what I wrote: Hi! Well, I can't explain it near as well as her. Have you ever noticed how your vaginal discharge changes throughout the month? She calls that cervical fluid. It gets more and more wet and slippery as you get closer to...

    Trying to get pregnate!

You really do need to get the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It's AWESOME!! Both times I followed her advise I got pregnant right away. She not only talks about charting your temperature, but also other fertility signs. I didn't chart my temp this time cause my...

What are good tapes during pregnancy?

I'm just 2 months pregnant. What tapes have you guys found that are good for while you are pregnant? I have some pregnancy yoga tapes, and I just ordered the Leisa Hart Fit Mama and Nancy Popp Pre-Natal Workout from Collage. I also have all my Firms and Cathes. I feel I can do some of my...

Surprise pregnancy - ? about folic acid (folate)

Congratulations!! As far as folic acid goes, it's in so many foods we eat that you'll probably be fine. If you check labels, it's sometimes listed as "folate". It's in cereals, power bars, breakfast drinks, lots of stuff. If you ate any of those foods, you'll be fine. However, you should...

    Low Impact, High Intensity!!!

I agree, we need a low-impact cardio choice. I have enough high-impact in my collection and I need to round it out with some low-impact.... Don't go easy on us though, just easy on the feet... Carole :)

    Power Half Hour

I knew others would like the shorter length idea. How about Power Half Hour and Half IMAX! They could be on the same tape for people who have a full hour, but could be done separate for those who don't have the time all at once. Could also be done morning and then finish at night.... Carole :)
