muscle "memory" or just "getting it"

The funny thing is that my very first Cathe cardio was MIC. I didn't think I would get anything on that entire video!! I just kept plugging for a couple of weeks and boom, the next thing you know it is effortless!

muscle "memory" or just "getting it"

Hi Cathe: In anticipation of the upcoming dvds, I just wanted to comment on something I have noticed. Whenever a get a new video/workout routine there are always places in which the choreography is difficult for me. It doesn't have to be complex or anything, for a while I just don't "get it" on...

Pyramid Up or Down to increase muscle mass

RE: Rachel3 Thanks so much for the fantastic responses. I admit I do not push myself to use heavier weight. These days I am just trying to get through the workout b/c I have so much to do afterwards. I will print out your responses for future reference, maybe one day I will be able to focus more.

    presale phase "2"

I went ahead and ordered today. I don't understand why they do these things in phases. Why not just have a presale that lasts until the videos are made? Oh well, I suppose there is some marketing ploy involved that I don't need to know about.

    presale phase "2"

WOW, that is a short presale. I see the first announcement about it was May 10 or 14. Thanks Beth. What is the consensus around here, are folks ordering now or waiting for the reviews?

    New series a challenge?

Hey Cathe. Could you compare the upcoming series in terms of the level of difficulty etc. to the last one which was touted as the next level? I saw great results with the last series! How will these tapes complement the previous ones?

    Need a cellulite solution

I wondered if you are breastfeeding? I was told by a fitness guru of sorts that your estrogen levels may contribute to cellulite formation/retention. I do not know if that is true by any means. I have been running this year more than ever and I think it has really helped my legs as far as...

short, med long runs and IS?

I think it is good to very intensity, speed, length etc.. That way your body doesn't get to used to things and you are less prone to injury, I think. I am supposed to run the short run one day-like 2 miles or so, the medium another, the long one right now is 4.5. I am really liking the longer...

short, med long runs and IS?

That is a good idea. I don't even think about any heavy legs after my long run. I wonder if imax2 would equate to a medium run, cardio and weights to a short one etc.?

Skinny as a Rail but Flabby Abs

RE: Similar problem I have similar concerns. Maybe it is just loose skin and there isn't anything we can do about it. Cathe, how can you tell "fat" from loose skin on abs?

short, med long runs and IS?

Hey Cathe! This year I am trying out a new running routine recommended to me by a prof who also taught women's track. He said that one short, one medium and one long run a week was optimum. When I first started running 2 years ago I was doing 2 miles, then 3, then 3.5, now I am up to 4.5 miles...

    Help - Plantar Wart

I had a wart on my finger for over a year, maybe two years. The thing that did it for me was the over the counter wart remover in a gel. Don't know why but it did. Some people say duct tape works as well as the traditional oinments, cannot vouch for that though. GOOD LUCK!

    Extra skin in abdominal area.

Good morning justme: I have also had three kids, one in my teens, one in my early twenties and one in my thirties. I am a size 3,5, or 6 and petite, I weigh around 125-27-30 somewhere in there, 5 foot 3-4 (on a good day!). I have been working out with Cathe since the birth of my last child 4...

    Abs and Obliques

Good Morning Everyone: Wouldn't jumping in IMAX & others provide benefits to the abs like kickboxing? It seems to me both require stablization, especially jumping onto the step and tuck jumps. Of course not as much oblique work.

    mom/law student/commuter needs help!

Hello all: I am a mom of 3 who commutes 3 hours a day to law school. I work out w/videos and dvds in the evenings. I get up around 5:00 to get the kids and myself ready for the day, I leave around 7:00. I need to eat a snack in the morning around 10:00 to keep from passing out from hunger. I...

    Weights vs Aerobics

I was doing some surfing and have concluded that I was sooo wrong about what "pyramid" means. I think what I was doing is drop sets. Regardless of the label, I acheived fantastic definition I didn't think I would ever have. Here is a link to the stuff I was reading...
