What a great workout I had!

That's awsome, Lorrie! You were "bookin'"!!!! My best time for 5 miles is 1 hr and 16 minutes. Your time is my new goal since I plan on walking the Baltimore marathon in October:o . My first one, too. Have you done any marathons? Heather

    Type of Shoes

Question......I like to get out and walk. Lately, I've been incorporating a bit of a run (nothing fast, nothing long) during the walk - like interval training. Should I be using shoes made for specifically walking or running?

    Short on Time

Could use some help. I am short on time (sometimes) because of my work schedule. My schedule is 7 am to 7 pm - not every day, though. Right now, between getting ready for work and making my entire day's meals in the morning, I really only have 30-40 minutes to work out. That's not every day...

    The Body Bar

Does anyone do The Body Bar workouts? I can't remember how I discovered them, but I actually like them. It's a nice low-impact workout I do between the Cathe workouts. There are some express workouts that are 30 min and that fits nicely with my work schedule (7 am to 7 pm). Heather:)

    60 year old exercisers

    It's Sad

Maybe "hobby" isn't the correct word I should be using. It sounds as if you have made fitness a way of life where many people don't. There are sooooo many benefits to exercising, and there are so many things you can do to get exercise that don't even cost money. I agree with you on the...

    It's Sad

Isn't it sad that most people consider fitness to be a "hobby"? Isn't it sad that the United States is considered the fattest nation in the world? I just don't understand why this super-sized nation would rather pig out on pizza and burgers, not work out, and complain when they finally get the...

    Return from Vacation

Just returned from St Johns (VI) - 7 day/6 night vacation. Incredible! Our second time there - I think we are going to make this an annual event. Of course there are other places in the world to visit, but St Johns is heaven on earth......why visit any other place? Who else has been to a...

    The Body Bar

Has anyone tried The Body Bar? I recently purchased one (and a mini one) - pretty good workout. Heather

    Menu Ideas for "Cutting"

RE: Menu Ideas for Hi Shaan! Thank you so much for the response. Luckily, I'm not overweight. I don't drink alcohol (I don't like how it gives me that lethargic feeling the next day, and I don't like the calories). I looked at the FitDay breakdown, and I think a lot of my carbs come from...

    Menu Ideas for "Cutting"

Question......I just went on FitDay.com and found my carb/protein/fat ratio isn't quite what it should be. I understand the "standard" is 40c/40p/20f. I read on a few other websites that people who are "cutting" should try and do 30c/50p/20f. I'm not a fan of diets. I eat about 1400 cal a...

    New Tape for the "Elders"

Question.....I recently got my mother (64 years old) involved in working out with Cathe. She loves the Basic Step DVD/Lower Impact Step because it's geared for beginners and not "too" difficult. Is there a plan to develop another tape for beginners? Say a weight tape or more cardio tapes?
