Cathe looks like she has lost weight!

The nice thing is that we are all unique, with different body types/physiology, but we all do our best and are committed to taking care of ourselves. Some moves will never feel right to us---for example, straddle taps are tough for me (my right leg/glute strength is weaker than the left--I...

    Any updates yet?

I bet we have them by the 10th or thereabouts.

    Read any good books lately?

Life After Life is an amazing book. Loved it so much, I've kindled several of Kate Atkinson's other releases. I have a whole stash of good new ones waiting in my kindle, from my favorite authors. Autumn is a great time for good releases from the publishers and I love that I can preorder on my...

Cathe looks like she has lost weight!

Who cares what Cathe looks like? As long as she delivers a great workout, that's all that matters!

    What am I doing wrong?

I might be in the minority, but I prefer myself "heavier," i.e., with more muscle. I can no longer wear size 00 but I look 100% better. Easier to find clothes that fit now, too.

    Zuzka

Short and intense. Agree w/Karen, these are great for stacking on with other workouts. On their own, they are perfect if you want a challenge but are pressed for time.

    Rhythmic Step & HSTA

Step Fit and Step Heat are big favorites of mine, too. IMAX the Original will always be my favorite in that series---not complex but intense. Where the heck can I find HSTA? Is it a premix or it is the High Step Training DVD? For some reason, I don't have this DVD, although I have the other...

    Can I Just Vent?

Life is not easy, but the one thing you can depend on is change. Things might not seem great now, but who knows what will happen in the future? It will get better---bad times always seem to be overtaken by better times. Take care of yourself, treat yourself to something, and realize that you...

    Dasha Libin

I have to say that every time I do a Scorcher DVD (from Dasha's 4-DVD Scorcher set), I have major DOMS in my arms and shoulders. I'm pretty strong already, thanks to Cathe and to working out w/Kettle Bells. Tomorrow, I'm going to do a 7 Day Lean workout (haven't decided which yet). I'm...

    Favorite Instructors Besides Cathe?

I already mentioned Kristin Dowell, but my other favorites are KCM, Dasha Libin, Suzanne Bowen, Leah Sarago, Lauren Brooks, Chris Freytag (sp?), Cindy Whitmarsh, Tracie Long, and Zuzka Light. I'm also exploring Jessica Smith's workouts (she very generously has an extensive catalog of free...

    Dasha Libin

I have the Scorcher set and enjoy it. For the most part, low impact but very intense/effective. Time flies by. Believe it or not, this is one workout where I don't mind burpees and sprawls. The background exercisers move at their own pace/level, and there is someone doing modifications w/a...

    Favorite Instructors Besides Cathe?

I second Susan Chung. Kristin Dowell's two releases are great, too. The choreography is her first DVD (Hi/Lo something or other) is more complex, but her second release, Dressed Up Drills, offers both simple and more complex. Tons of premixes. She has a modifier, too, showing low impact moves.

    Lucy, thank you

Lucy - Based in part on you review, I purchased Dasha's 7 Day Lean. I LOVE it. Pretty easy on the joints, too. So versatile, fun, and tough w/out a huge dread factor. I already have her Scorcher set and just got her second KB set (11 DVDs).

    Ripped w/HiiT cast members?

Great idea! Bring back Hope, Lisa, Pat, and Lorraine. :)

Dasha Libin - 7 Day Lean

I decided to order this from Mary (thanks, Lucy, for the great review). Being in my early 50s, I want to incorporate more mobility work into my routine. I already have one of Dasha's DVD sets (first one, KettleBell/Kickbox). I also just got Tracie Long's two new releases (Stronger Longer)...
