Disturbing Info - BP Oil Spill

The BP-Libya-Scotland Lockerbie bomber story is old news. A little less than a year to be exact. However, The Washington Post has a source who claims the Obama Administration knew about the whole thing and gave their blessing for it. Either way, the truth better get out there quickly. BP has to...

Disturbing Info - BP Oil Spill

I blame the government for the inept response to the spill. They fumbled that thing terribly in my opinion and were caught lying about the number of cleanup ships, failed to rescind the Stafford Act to allow foreign countries to help out, and in general failed to line up appropriate resources in...

    Flat screen TV dead

Hi Again Winter, Apparently, in the back of the television there is a board called the "power supply". It's located where your plug goes into the tv. If that board is bad then even though your power strip and outlet are ok, the electricity is not getting to where it needs to go to in order to...

    Shoulder Definition

I like Laura's suggestion for sure. I think her routine is very similar to mine actually. Ever try upright rows? I like those too but I rotate those in and out of my routine, substituting those for the front and side raises. Goodluck! Trevor

    Flat screen TV dead

Hi Winter, My son sells these flat screens at Best Buy. He says it sounds like a bad power supply and is probably done. I know nothing about these but am just passing along what he said. Can u get someone to look at it? Trevor

Disturbing Info - BP Oil Spill

Feel free to flame away if you disagree but for me this boils down to 1---extreme incompetence on the part of the government and BP or 2 ---this whole thing is by design and they are trying to maximize this catastrophe for political reasons. It's really quite a strange thing to sit back an observe.

Disturbing Info - BP Oil Spill

Government regulations have pushed them to have to drill in deeper water, which is more risky no doubt about it. I think they are covering their own ineptitude and not that of BP.

    New Orleans hotel recommendations?

I think everything recommended so far is awesome. If I may, I'd also like to recommend you have a breakfast at Mother's one morning. I also enjoyed the Garden District a lot. Awesome architecture there. I liked Mardi Gras World too. It's neat seeing all of the floats stored there plus the...

    The things we don't know...

I hear you on N.O. and Haiti. Halliburton didn't build the rig but they did do the cementing of the rig. That process is supposedly quite tricky in 5000 ft of water and has been named the cause of blowouts in quite a few other rig accidents. From what little I have read so far it sounds like...

    The things we don't know...

BP isn't the only entity that has had an "oh well" attitude about the spill.

    Totally OT: Lebron James Sucks!!!

I felt bad for Cleveland although I think the NBA is pretty much a joke. Cleveland seems to get crapped on a lot in pro sports. I live in Annapolis and we have the Ravens in nearby Baltimore. Of course, the Ravens are the original Cleveland Browns and I am proud of the fact that my team, the...

Working out when it's 80 plus degrees

Be careful and definitely stay hydrated. A few years ago I did a 60 mile bike tour on a really hot day. The ride was not well supported with water and food. I ended up getting dehydrated and 2 days later I was in the hospital with an A-flutter in my heart. The cardiologist told me dehydration...

    ds or wii?

My son has both and gets more use out of his DS. Of course, that may be because some of his newer games are for the DS. They are Pokemon games too which is all the rage. He does use both systems though and since they are very different it's a tough call. I'd get the Wii if you have to choose...

    TOY STORY 3 IS AWESOME

We took our nine yr old son to see it and we all loved it. Have to agree--the baby was very creepy. Reminds me of the baby doll head with legs from the first Toy Story movie. I too, loved the scenes with Buzz speaking Spanish. One amazing thing was that our 9 month old grandson made it through...
