I would love any insight on MHR and input from Cathe and other Cathletes :p scientifically and/or who have a similar experience :)
I've sporadically monitored HR over the years and mine is (across a wide range of fitness from pretty-darn-fit-if-I-do-say-so :p to ehh, just maintaining)...
This has been a really interesting thread and thanks for all the constructive posts :)
It is such an ongoing balancing act, this "aging gracefully" thing isn't it :eek::p
For me it's always such a work in progress and an ongoing process of consciously (or trying to be conscious...
Ok... if I can ever figure out how to make juicing at home not take FOREVER I will probably be a life long convert :)
I recently overcame (in 3 days) a GNARLY cold that took my colleagues the better part of 10 days and I primarily attribute it to extensive daily juicing during that time -...
I'm a 1-2 small 5oz cup a day-er usually but the last six months or so my Starbucks infatuation was starting to get on my own nerve  so I'm taking January off.. not just coffee (my dear sweet coffee ) but ALL caffeine.
I've been starting my days with a big 12oz glass of water...
I completely agree with Clare :) ...I'm also just getting back with it after double knee injuries (and multiple other layoffs over the years..work...life..yaknow :o:p)...and... i.e. my bum was sore for ... um.. days... after doing (on separate days) Supercuts then Hard Strikes (31min premix)...
Agree love love this workout! Cathe packed a lot into 45 minutes - it's so fun and goes by quickly! Just when I thought I might die :p it was over! Great stretch too. Will do this one regularly - love it!
Just wanted to, finally!, say thanks for the encouraging words! They are appreciated... had a sudden family hospitalization + Tday + workwork come up and haven't gotten back on here until now.
Cannot believe how fast I lost muscle/gained fat with this knee injury!!:confused::( YUK...
I'm sooo bummed :( just sprained (I guess that's what you'd call it) my knee - looks like LCL - from an impact accident mountain biking (first *real MTB accident in seven years of riding and then I had two of them back to back three days apart both slamming the same knee)
So I'm out of...
So sorry you're having to deal with this! I've had two burst cysts - one was the closest I've ever come to visiting an ER but thankfully it didn't come to that - I couldn't move or stand upright, was literally doubled over in pain and finally just in the fetal position... Ibuprofen kicked in...
Too funny :D !! I'm not one of the buttless but biking has done wonders for my bootah...MTB is my main outlet though I've picked up road & spin too. I'm talking boosted to near bubble butt from average smallish/round. If thats not tmi ha
It doesn't hurt that it's a blast & I...

My derm has said if you do one thing only for anti-aging - retinoids are the gold standard. For what it's worth :D OTC retinols are a great way to slowwwwly (especially if you have sensitive skin like me ) build up to a prescription retinoid.
Personally... I like botox for my...
I agree nutrients are best from food - but I'm also a vitamin advocate. Even organic fruits/vegs are less nutrient dense today than prior generations. imho a good vitamin regimen can mean the difference between good health and optimal health and most doctors these days are sadly oriented to...
I loved reading this thread! I’ve enjoyed a range of ridiculous comments from "dang girl you need a cheeseburger" (at 5’5” 120lbs) to the mean girls: "we don’t like dumbbells! we like to eat, skinny b**ch!" … true statement!...seriously…and no, I did not provoke it, unless being physically...
