Morning ladies,

Today I will do some weight workouts.

I will be back after my coffee to catch up on personals.

Good Morning,

I wasn't able to come back on last night but I did go to the gym and do the elliptical and tonite will be the TM, trying to hit it hard before I go on vacation next week.

Today was a Yoga day and even though I am still VERY sore from Monday's yoga workout, I decided to bite the bullet and just do one. I chose Karen Voight's Yoga Sculpt thinking she might be a little easier than Cathe was. Nope. Actually, since I'm so sore this workout felt harder than Cathe's on Monday. This is a 45 minute workout and I really like it, I use to do it a lot. I need to check and see if Karen has anymore Yoga workouts available. I'm not even sure she's still making DVD's anymore.

My new favorite breakfast after yoga:

Oats with 3/4 c. Almond milk with 1/2 c. cooked blueberries. YUMMY! I add a touch of honey to sweeten it a bit. I am loving the almond milk - no soy or lactose. I've been having problems with milk lately and this is a great solution. Lower carbs, lower caloires. All around a great thing. I want to try the Almond-Coconut next week. I hear that one is heavenly.

Green Tea with honey.

Two great combo's in the morning and I stay full until lunch time.

Hope you all have a great day! Namaste!

Roxie - Where are you going for vacation? Hope you have a great time!

Debbie-my bosses have a house in Southfork Colorado so we are going to stay there, the temps are nice and cool. We plan on going to Taos NM for 1 day and then another town for a day and then just relaxing.

Hi girls! Happy August!!

Today was Peak Fit Cardio Strength 1. Still a little sore, but had enough energy to WANT to do it. Sweat like CRAZY with increased humidity, though!

Belinda: I wonder if Cathe is too busy again for a rotation. :( . Hope she isn't. I think i might do something with STS if she doesn't post it by Monday.

Debbie: I love Almond Milk! Been using it for a while now. It's great in smoothies too. Do you cook your blueberries? or just cook the oatmeal? ... I have cooked oatmeal (made with almond milk) , fruit, cinnamon and a splash of Sugar Free Maple syrup. EVERY morning! .... Nice job on the Yoga today.

Roxie: Good job kkicking it up before vacation! sounds like a nice place to go.

Hi Nora! hope your toe is healing....

Hi girls,

Workout is done: did S&H Back/Chest/Planks:)

Chris - still no August rotation:confused: I guess, I do whatever this week:p
Terrific job, on your workout today.

Debbie - that's all I drink since my DH became a vegetarian a few years ago, DH likes it too. Glad you enjoy Cathe's yoga dvds, I need to pull that one out this week...keep forgetting about it:confused:

Roxie - you go, girl on those workouts! I am ready for another vacation:eek: Have fun.

Nora - how are you doing? Hope you are resting. Take care

I will be back in the morning.

Hi girls;)

I did try to workout today and my foot definitely was not happy with me. I did my best but I don't think I'll try to workout tomorrow so my toes on that left foot can have more recovery time.

Here's today's workout:

KCM 30MTF-Step Boxing-Premix-Workout# 1 with Extra Drills= 41 Min
Met Value= 7.25
Calories burned= 406

KCM 30MTF -Lift- W/O # 2 w/wup Power Sculpting= 33 Min
Met Value= 6.0
Calories burned= 270

Total Calories Burned= 676

Okay, I'm off to go ice my foot now. I doubt I'll make it back for personals. Have a great night girls!;)

Hugs to everyone!;)

Nora

Good morning,

I was hoping yesterday that UPS would bring my CF + TTM dvds, I guess I will wait again today? If they don't show up, I will do some cardio.

Nora - I can't believe you worked out yesterday:eek: You are a nut:eek: How is your foot today? Take it easy, ok!

Waving Hallo to Chris, Debbie and Roxie.

Have a great day and workout, everyone.

Today was cardio and yoga but I only got cardio in this a.m. I'll do yoga this afternoon or evening if I have time.

I chose Cardio Coach #2 and had a fairly decent workout.

CARDIO STATS:
42 minutes total
8 minutes below zone
25 minutes in zone
10 minutes above zone
330 calories burned
2 miles traveled

I've been watching the Olympics in the evening, especially the gymnastics teams. Very motivating. I'm so proud of USA Fab Five! They did a spectacular job in the finals. Looking forward to the All Worlds competition tonight.

Chris - Yes, I cook the blueberries - about 3 minutes in the microwave. I'm not a huge blueberry fan so I think I'm going to have to find something a bit different in the future.

Roxie - Sounds like a fun vacation! I hope it's not too hot where you're going.

Nora - So what did you do to your toes? How did you break them? I don't think you answered that question? Inquiring minds want to know! Hope they get better soon!

Morning girls,

Wanted to share a pic of my dog Browler:eek: Doesn't he look compfy?

BTW, I already walked the dogs for 2.5 miles this morning. Waiting for my DVDs to arrive!

Good Morning,

I went to the gym last night and did intervals on the TM and then this morning it was thundering and lightening so I stayed home and walked on the TM. Tonite is another session with the PT then I only have 2 left when I get back.

Debbie-the highs out there are in the 70's and the lows are in the 40's perfect place to get away from the 100 degree temps.

Hi girls!;)

I took today as a rest day not sure if I can workout tomorrow either because of my broken toe or toes on my left foot. I really want for my toes to heal so I can jump back into working out. I did try to workout yesterday and boy did my foot and every little movement seemed to hurt lots, so with that in mind I decided to back off.

I broke my toes walking around the house barefoot and my right leg gave out on me and my left leg tried to overcompensate and my leg mid stride tried to balance everything on one leg instantly and I was so out of balance I started to fall. My left leg surged forward to try and get closer to the corner of a wall so I could steady myself and my right foot jammed into the corner of the wall at the baseboard. It hurt so bad I could not put weight on it except to walk on the heal of that foot with toes flexed up. Right now my foot is very black and blue and sore to the touch still with some residual swelling. It hurts if I try to have any impact whatsoever on the left foot like in doing a workout or step or pretty much anything. I can't wear sneakers it hurts getting foot into shoe and have anything touching it. I'm getting around wearing some slip on Birkenstock sandals allowing maximum comfort to allow for swelling and discomfort.

Roxie- Nice workouts today on the TM I don't blame you I'd avoid being out in the thunder and lightening too. Great job today with your workout.;)

Debbie- Sounds like you had a great vacation and love that your listening to your body and focusing on yoga and stretching and less heavy weights or little of it. Just take care of your shoulder and be well. That is all that matters is focusing on your own health and fitness and working within those parameters that work best for you. Take care and be well my friend!;)

Belinda- I'll keep my fingers crossed your you to get your CrossFire and To The Max dvds soon. You will love them and they are worth the wait. Take care and excited about your getting CF and TTM, let us know what you think after viewing them. Take care!;)

Chris- I hope all is well with you! FYI I did pre-order Jillian Michael s Body Revolution. So, now I have to wait until it ships after September 4 I ordered from Collage Video so I could get the band thingy too. I still saved a bunch with free shipping. My DH says he'd like to do that one with me because the time seems more doable and less intimidating for him. So, this should be fun, and I can always either add-on some Jillian Michaels stuff I already have or Cathe premixes from any of hers. I want to try to keep workout times at under an hour.

That's it for me today girls.:)

Hugs to everyone and have a great night!;):)

Hi Chris!

I will be back later. Have a great Friday.

Chris - have you seen the rotation Cathe posted for August? I think I will do that one Monday? If my dvds arrive. Are you in?

Good Morning,

The PT kicked my butt last night and then she weighed me I am down 2.5lbs since last week. I went to spin class this morning because I won't be able to workout to much last minute stuff to do. Vacation begins in 7.5 hours.

Nora-that sounds really painful have you been to the dr?

Belinda-have fun painting.

Today I did Bryan Kest's Energize workout. It's been well over a year since I've tackled this one. I did well but still have a hard time holding the poses for so long. I am getting better but still can't hold them as long as the workout does. But that's ok, it's something to work towards. I won't move on to his next workout until I can do this one fluidly and without breathing hard. That is my goal. I really love his workouts and I looked him up online and see he does online classes that you can download. Once I get sick of this DVD I will probably do that. I'm sure there is a charge, but I'm ok with that. He is a great teacher.

I can already open my chest more then I have in a long time. I was able to do all the poses, even the ones I couldn't do a few weeks back when I started some light yoga/stretch workouts. So I can tell I'm getting more flexible. And I can't believe how cut my arms are. I can see my muscles and striations through my shoulders again. That makes me very happy. I feel like I'm leaning out a bit, too, but haven't checked my weight or measurements. I probably should, but I'm not really focusing on that right now. I just want to eat right (which I am) and do my practice religiously (and I am).

I've decided to do my yoga practice after work starting next Tuesday since my time goes back to early morning again. We'll see how it works out. If I find I am making excuses not to workout I'll be going back to mornings. Still not sure about cardio, I can't jog when I've eaten, even it has been hours since I ate. I get really bad stabbing pains in my sides. I may have to bite the bullet and get up early two times a week to do my cardio and do my yoga in the evenings.

Nora - I'm so sorry that happened to you, that must have been very painful. I know that when I just stub my toe it brings tears to my eyes, I can only imagine what you had to go through. I'm glad it's slowly getting better. Keeping you in my prayers, girl.

Roxie - I thought Arizona was still in the 100's? 70's sound like heaven to me! Next week it looks like it will be nice here in the lower 80's.

Have a great day everyone! Reach your dreams!

Hi girls!!

Today I did Peak Fit's Cardio Strength 1. The same one I did Tuesday. I did a little better with it today. Not as many breaks....

Belinda: I was all in for doing Cathe's August Rotation. But I'm not sure now. I might stick with Peak Fit . Might order her 2 newer workouts and then I can also sub in CF and TTM too, since they are similiar. I probably won't make my final decision until Monday...You're for sure doing it though?

Debbie: I love your plan and perseverence with the Yoga plan!!! I am excited to see your improvements!!

Roxie: Nice job on the loss!!!! Happy Vacation to you!!!!

Nora: I totally know that toe pain. Happened to me a few years ago. I couldn't wear a shoe either. After the first week, I ended up doing upper body workouts only. I'd put in a kickbox workout and do the upper body only. Oddly enough, I could work up a sweat. ALso did Wii Boxing. and when I felt a tinge better, started riding my bike. It really REALLY is a tough thing to have a boo boo toe!!!! I'm still waiting for Jillian's BR to drop in price. Might be a few years, but I'm ok to wait for now. But the ones I've done , I really enjoyed!!! I know you'll love them!

Debbie-we are going to southern Colorado hot enough here in Kansas don't think I could handle Arizona but our forecast shows its suppose to cool down here after we leave go figure. Congrats on seeing definition in your arms its amazing what stretching will do.

Hey girls,

Cross Fire is done! That one is a lot of fun and a nice sweat fest. I burned 557 cal in 55 min. That one reminds me off the RT workouts! No wonder I love it! Now I am tired.

Nora - I hope you on the couch relaxing:p (((HUGS)))

Chris - I probably stick with circuits workout for the next few weeks, haven't made up my mind yet? Who knows what I will do on Monday? LOL!

Debbie - nice job with your yoga workout this morning. Glad it's helping! Keep it up!

Roxie - have a relaxing and wonderful vacation next week. Congrats on the weight loss:D

Off to the shower. I will try to be back later. If not, good night!
