Any Guys Who Have Done STS??

I'm trying to convince my brother to try STS but he is skeptical because he only sees reviews from women about the program. He is reluctant to even try it without seeing results or reading reviews out there from guys who have completed the program. Anyone know where I can find info like that or better yet, any guys on the forums who have had success with STS?

TIA!!!

My husband has done it! He was the same way, until I begged him to just do one workout from STS with me and he was hooked. He got amazing results, which made me red with jealousy at his muscle development. Somewhere he posted something once, but I don't know how to find it. He is under SpiderTaxi.

My husband won't post, but he has done STS twice. He loves it and gets great results every time. He has done a full rotation of P90X as well, but prefers STS hands down.

My husband uses a lot of Cathe's cardio DVDs, too. His favorites are any of the HiiTs and MMA Fusion.

My DH and I went to the Houston RT together, which was REALLY fun for both of us. Tell your brother that Cathe is NOT just for the ladies. She's hardcore.

My husband did P90x and he said it without prompting, that STS was way better. You can complain about all the small stuff, but it works (his words). The other thing he loved was the music. He didn't want to listen to pop or lyrics, he said the music to STS was right on. For what its worth, he ended up with a 375 pound bench press, 50 pound dumbell curls and a 500 pound squat. (I hate him.)

Here is the post from SpiderTaxi...

I did like his other post where he explained how his wife (DirtDiva) gently coerced him into trying STS with her, ;)

Haha! I like that...it true though, I nearly did clobber him that day. I literally stomped my foot on the ground and shouted at him something like, can't you ever try something out of your little box? Glad you found these posts!

So funny, I did the same thing w/my DH, and he finally considered trying it after I finished the entire program, and he got to see my results. He did the FIRST workout, and said that it was just too intense for him, lol. He still wants to try again, but felt he had to work up to it. His only issues was that he works a very labor intensive job, and sometimes long hours. He didn't want to come home with already exhausted muscles and then go straight into STS, plus he only has a couple hours between coming home and going to sleep, and the length of the STS workouts were a problem. He still believes that it's an awesome system for guys OR girls, and is hoping to get his schedule to a point where he can work it in.

My hubby loves STS so much that I can't get him to do anything else! (other then bike riding) Whenever I convince him to try another series, he says I'm going back to STS! Do you think he's hooked?

My husband is thinking about stopping his personal training sessions and moving on to STS. I know I will never get him to do a full set of 1RM testing, so we'll do a few and see the general percentage higher from mine for different body parts, and then add that percentage as a guideline to all the weights.

List of advantages when he does STS

These are few memories/advantages I hold dear from our *working out* together.

He was a complete dork on the warm-ups. I had to stifle my laughter and look the other way, because he really was getting into that warm-up and even commented why the guys were on the bikes. But he was so awkward when he'd sashay across the floor!

He would pause the dvd player because he wanted to see how much weight the guys were lifting and then he'd snort and shout out his own lifting weight.

He went out and purchase another curl bar because he didn't want to change his plate weight that often. Now he has one Olympic straight bar, and two Olympic curl bars.

He had to have another set of lifting gloves.

He decided the gym needed a full-on stereo system with speakers on the wall.

He put in a floor so he could drop his weights like a man!

Since he was using the weight bench he told me to buy the Cathe full step.

And...since he bought himself another curl bar, I bought myself another Troy Lite bar!

Now he really doesn't say much when I want another Cathe workout. Which is the best advantage for me.

Love It!

I like to check-in and see what the "guys" have to say. Really enjoyed reading everyone's posts :D

This cracked me up! My favorite purchase is a toss up between the surround sound and the gym floor :D
