(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

Where the heck did the weekend go? And I had an extra day off  Sigh,....

Well, I am being more consistent with working out. This morning I decided to do STS disc 3 legs. I modified a bit for moves that agree with my foot and skipped the calf raises. There was no rhyme or reason to the weights I used. I mostly just wanted to do it without any pressure. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd say the first workout I've had fun with in a long time!!

I hope you ladies had a good weekend!!!

Thanks on the weights!

Catherine
, glad to hear you actually enjoyed working out. Nice way to do it so there wasn't any pressure.

DH is out of town and the kids are off from school, so I slept in. Then DD woke up and joined me in bed and we just hung out and played together for an hour. So when I finally got up I wasn't gonna do anything, but decided I was so depressed over my weight that I needed to do something if even only half an hour.

I decided on Disc 26 Plyo Legs skipping all the weight work. Think 4DS BC. Workout was 32 minutes and I burn 270 calories.

No workouts for me since Saturday:( I got blindsided Sunday with a horrible flu virus. Body aches worse than doms in Meso 1 and yesterday my fever hit 103.8. I'm feeling a little better today but am still pretty weak with a low grade temp and chills. Kinda threw a monkey wrench into my STS workouts but since this is supposed to be the heaviest week, I might hold off and start fresh next Monday....keep things easy and light until then.

Linda- So, what did you decide to do strength-wise after STS?

Catherine- ITA, I had more fun with STS when I didn't focus on the numbers so much.

Judi - So sorry to hear that you have been feeling so horrible. Hope you regain your strength soon. You and your DH must be a real pair right now.:p Also, I am just do something like Turbulance Training for the the next 4 weeks or so, then I am starting P90X with Debbie (fitnessfreak).

Catherine - Whatcha doing?

Kinda of taking an active rest week before starting a new rotation for the next 4-5 weeks. So this morning was Tracey's Strikezone skipping strike 9 as my shoulders have been bothering me. Workout was 52 minutes and I burned 409 calories.

Hello ladies. Well after 5 days of consistent w/o I"ve taken 2 days off. I am not gonna beat myself up over it though. Last night was just too tired to do anything and this evening I am going to niece's district championship volley ball game.

Judi, so sorry to hear you have the flu :( Rest and don't worry about the workouts- they'll be there when you are better;)

Linda, did you see where Tracey is coming out with a new w/o. I can not remember the name but Josef is in it? So I think it's sort of gonna be like SZ 2 but that's not what she's calling it.

I was feeling a little better this morning so I decided to do Disc 31 chest/back. It went OK and I'm glad to be back on schedule....hated the thought of extending STS another week. I'm looking forward to being done by next Friday (23rd) and have a massage scheduled a few days later to work out all the knots and kinks. BTW, I benched 80# for the first time so I was pretty proud of myself:D

Catherine- How did your niece's volleyball game go?

Linda- I'm looking forward to my active recovery week! Just a week and a half to go.............

Judi - Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Congratulations on the Personal Best for the bench! WooHoo!

Catherine - Where you hiding?

Haven't been feeling very chatty lately. Today I took a rest day, unfortunately it took me so long to talk myself into taking it I couldn't go back to sleep once I finally decided.

Yesterday, I did Disc 29 Plyo Legs skipping all the weight exercises, followed by IMAX 3 Step Only Premix on 2 risers. Workout was 55 minutes and I burned 470 calories.

Hey gals. Just a quick check in. Came home this evening with a migraine  Took some meds and it's better. I hope to get a workout in tomorrow.

Started a 4 week Turbulance Training rotation this morning. Didn't get the cardio in because DH decided not to get me up this morning. I still have the stupid cough and he thinks I need rest. Workout was only 35 minutes, and I be back to post stats later.

Morning Ladies-

I am on the final week of STS and looking forward to my recovery week then moving on to something different. I started food journaling on SparkPeople a few weeks ago in hopes of losing 15# by our Florida trip in Jan. I am happy to report the first 5# are gone and now the hard part starts......the last 10. It will be tough with all the holidays coming up but I am determined so we'll see what happens. Do you think my chins/pulls will be easier if I weigh less?

Have a great day!

Linda, I bet your hubby was right about you needing rest ;)

Judi, congrats on the weight loss!! And yes chinups are easier when you weigh less

Well, I am the on again off again girl :( I will try not to moan and groan to much about it and just get on with something. My exercise and eating patterns just stink right now.

Oh and after 3 straight days of bad headaches I decided that it was the Nexium causing my headaches so I stopped it. Guess what- the headaches stopped. Go figure.

YAY!!!!!!!! I worked out today :eek::eek: Did STS disc 1. My chest is freaking sore already. But I feel great :D

Hope you ladies had a good day!!!!

Catherine- Woo Hoo!! Glad you got in a workout:) I remember the fire in my chest after doing Meso 1 chest work. All those pushups...UGH!

I did Amy Bento's In The Ring this morning. Geez, I love that workout plus the med ball intervals. Burned 551 calories. Tomorrow will be the last plyo legs which I'm not looking forward to because it has the one legged squat thrusts. They make me feel very awkward and inadequate:eek:

Catherine - Great job on the workout! And way to go on figuring out what was causing the headache. Will you do okay without the Nexium?

Judi - Fantastic job on the weight loss. I am still struggling to get my eating under control. I have no I idea what is wrong with me. I hate one legged squat thrusts.

I was in absolutely no mood to workout this morning, and certainly in no mood for cardio. I have no interest in choreography at all right now. So I decided on IMAX 2 Blast Mania Premix. It was 41 minutes long and I don't have any idea on the calorie burn because my HRM needed a new battery.

Judi, how were the 1-legged squat thrusts :p

Linda, for someone who didn't want to workout you sure know how to pick a workout

I did CCV8 challenges 1&2 on the stationary for a total of 10miles. Not too bad. I just couldn't do the final challenge  Something is better than nothing right?

Awful! Thankfully I was in the privacy of my basement cuz they weren't very pretty:eek:

10 miles is awesome! Way to go:D I really think CCV8 was made for a bike or elliptical. I couldn't imagine running a hill for 8 minutes:confused:

Judi - Fantastic job on the weight loss. I am still struggling to get my eating under control. I have no I idea what is wrong with me.

Linda- I think journaling my food intake on SparkPeople really helps to keep me on track. I also weigh & measure most things I'm eating right now and although it can get tedious, it is what works for me. I cut out all junk food, eating out and alcohol (I miss my wine & beer:() and once I hit my goal, I will add some things back in and see how I respond.

I find it amazing that many people on this forum (myself included) who are avid exercisers, still have issues with weight. I've come to realize that while exercise is an important component in weight loss, it really comes down to diet especially the older you get. Kinda sucks if you ask me but it is what it is.

Don't get down on yourself to much......if losing weight and controlling our eating was so easy, everyone would be at their ideal weight;)

Catherine - Something is always better than nothing. And I am impressed with 10 miles!

Judi - I don't think my one legged squat thrust are very pretty either.:p

Okay I was humbled this morning. As you know I am doing Turbulance Training for the next 4 weeks and the rotation I choose I did little over a year ago. I actually failed on a weight this morning that I did a year ago. What in the world is up with that? And my chin-up numbers sucked today!

Superset 1
Pullovers
8 - 52# (I way over estimated on this one :p)
8/8 - 47#
DB Floor Press
6 - 43's
6/4 - 40's (Here where I could not match last year, last year I did 3 sets of 8 with 40's:eek:)

Superset 2
Chin Ups
4/4, 3/4, 3/3 (first number unassisted, second assisted)
DB Incline Press
8/8/8 - 35's (Here I did okay, I matched last years weight:))

Superset 3
Inverted Rows
12/12/12 - BW
Decline Pushups

12/12/12 - BW

Then did HIIT cardio using Disc 26 Plyo Legs, do eight rounds of 30 second work with 60 second rest. Workout was 55 minutes and I burned 411 calories.

Here is Monday's workout that I never posted:

Superset 1
1 Legged Squat
8/8/8 - BW
Bench Press
6/6 - 100#
6 - 105#

Superset 2
Romanian Dead Lift
8/8/8 - 125#
Spiderman Pushups
10/10/10 - BW

Superset 3
DB Step Ups
10/10/10 25's
DB Rear Delt Raise

12/12/12 - 12's

Also have to say my eats were spot on today. Now if only I can string a bunch of these days together.:D
