Good Morning Peeps.

DH didn't get home from work until 9pm last night and is out the door already this morning to work a full day. Gonna be just me n the kid today. We'll be going to the gym for my run in a couple hours and then home for a shower n lunch and off to the park again this afternoon. I hope it's nice again today. We were there y'day late in the afternoon and it was lovely!!! :)

So I got on the scale this morning and my jaw dropped. I lost another 1/2 a pound since mid-week! I'm not complaining at all, just quite surprised. Sooo, if this holds that means that as of right now I've lost just about 3 pounds this month! Sean T. is my idol!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D I HAD to take measurements after I looked at the scale. Since the beginning of the month my waist is down 1/2" and my legs are each down 1/2"! Am I happy? Yeah! You could say that! LOL On the other hand, my BF is still floating around the same # (it's not too high but I would love for it to drop back to where it was post X!) but I promised myself I wouldn't get upset about that right now so I'm not going to!

Diana:: Glad you've maintained the strength in your legs. I've decided that I do not like what strength work outs do to my legs. They make 'em bigger, not smaller-I must build muscle very easily in that area-and my legs are already naturally big enough. I may do strength for legs once in while for short periods to change things up but I think from now on I'll be sticking to mostly endurance/plyo training for them. BTW, I wrote to you in my last post last night but I don't think you saw when you logged on and posted so go check it out!

Guess that's all for now. Off to get more coffee. BBL!

Good Morning Girls!

I have been up for a couple of hours but just getting here:confused: Todays workout is a looong run and I am looking forward to it. For a few reasons....1) I haven't ran in 2 days 2) I get to try out my new watch 3) Im go'in it alone 4) I get to listen to some tunes....I don't get to do that when I don't go alone!

We also have a b-day supper to go to tonight. Its my MIL's b-day on the 29th, my BIL's b-day was yesterday and my MIL's BF's DH's b-day (thats alot of abbriviations :))

Wendy** Have fun with DS today. Is DH back to work FT? I hope your scale isn't battery operated cause you soon gonna need a new one;)

DH is up and Im outta here!

Hi ladies,

For some reason I'm awake at this early hour on a Saturday. Well it's not really early, but for weekend it certainly is for me.

My legs are sore from yesterdays w/o. I also did 3 sets of assisted pullups and my back is feeling it too. :D Gotta love it. I had intended on doing GS BSB this morning but may give the Insanity UB w/o a try. I'm just worried it could be full of pushups and they are not my favorite. At any rate it will be some UB work and whatever Insanity w/o is on the schedule.

After my workout I need to make a trip to Costco and then we have Jerod's football game this afternoon. I'm thinking of calling MIL to come to Jerod's game and then take her out to dinner.

Wendy-Congratulations on the continuing weight loss and the best part is the inches lost!!! I already have big legs and lifting doesn't really make them bigger. I just don't want them to be jiggly! I alternate a lot between heavier lifting and endurance for the lower body...it is my trouble area. I was actually hoping to have good results with Insanity, but am losing definition in my legs from lack of lifting. I'm also losing def in my shoulders too but will start trying to combat that today! Hope DH is getting some nice OT working on a Sat. Enjoy your day with Joey!

Lori-I use to have a running partner and we enjoyed chatting the whole time. Her husband-who is much more competitive than we are, use to tell us that we would each run faster if we weren't running together. Neither one of us run much anymore. She's gotten into road biking along with her family. You will love your new garmin. I had my face display showing cals, mpm, distance, and one other thing...can't remember now.

Hello,

I am starting Insanity on Monday. Any advice for me as I start this rotation?

Hi. You are gonna LOVE it! LOL Yeah, don't try to add on anything extra (ie weight work) in the first week. Take the week to test the waters and see where your energy levels are at and then after that you can add on accordingly. I definitely recommend adding on when you feel ready to though. It's a great series with many wonderful benefits but IMO does not have nearly enough upper body weight work to keep the muscles "happy" if you are used to lifting regularly. :)

Morning chickies !

Got most of my CPR done last night but between needing to get to the game and my legs being a bit sluggish I skipped most of the last 2 segments of the last round. Still sweated buckets and felt my legs climbing the stairs at the game and the parking garage though. :D

Today is PC + abs - perhaps Jen's idea of 21 min UB workout (need to review which one it was, ME perhaps?) Sounds good now - in fact, may run through that one this AM and do my PC this afternoon so I'm not hitting Insanity 1/2 a day after the last one. Just toying around with household chores and getting a few things ready to help the kids move (food ! cuz I'll need it and don't want to pig out on anything if I get hungry). I am soooooo excited to have them closer. And DS did get notice that he got a promotion from Asst. Mgr. to Store Mgr. They will finally not be living paycheck to paycheck - hoping we can get them into a house in the next few years.

And I had my review at work - went pretty well - hope my boss is not stringing me along - I did throw a few things at him to make him step into "boss" mode instead of trying to make me figure out what I'm supposed to do. He mentioned the move again but depending on how I can leverage the next few months and see how much I can help at our mfg site I may stick around. He did say I was underpaid so we'll see if he can work on that when our wage freeze lifts. Hopefully the first of next year.

Wendy – ahh yes Shred. The BL workouts are similar in nature to Insanity – just not as intense. Guess that is why I am liking Insanity – I do enjoy the BL workouts too ! Man I can’t wait to see what STS Cardio has in store. Wonder if after all these crazy cardio workouts I’ll do step much anymore? They always seem easy – except for the Imax trio that is ! Well hockey was a great time – one of our defensive player scored half the 6 goals – got a “hat trick” (3 in one game) which we didn’t have at home all of last year. Yes – Italian food or any pasta is a fav that I used to order out all the time. No longer but even today I’ll make my antipasto pasta salad to take for munching on tomorrow during “the move”. Woo Hoo on the total “Shaun” #’s and inches. Hoping I can have great results like you. We are in for 100’ today – was 95 yesterday. I’ll take a nice 85’ and sunny – hope the park is fun again today.

Diana – bummer the day was not a fun one but Friday is a good day for that with a weekend reprieve coming. Kids and procrastinating – though in my household it means DH is a “kid”, well actually, I find it funny that he has the same traits he used to rag on my kids about ! LOL ! He is at the top of the procrastinator list. Here it is hard to get tix for the first home game. Our cheapies are only $17 for the top seats – are your more expensive ? Can’t believe my fav defensive guy made a hat trick ! He is usually pretty serious and finally smiled – was too cute ! Nice squat #s y’day – I’m having leg DOMS but not the weight kind. Good for you.

Lori – I have to say I haven’t had the energy for weights yet and am nearly done with week 3 of Insanity. The last two workouts have been better – it is taking longer for me to feel the need for a rest break in the middle of PC and I can make it through the warm-ups pushing pretty hard. Recovery is coming quicker now. I am missing weights though. Good about your friend losing #s if she is eating. Hope she gets her home life figured out – BTDT and it is very difficult. Enjoy your “loner” long run and your new toy ! ;)

RPage - first off - you in CA? I see the "Charter.net" and that is our local cable network. Only thing to add to Wendy's advice is that it is tough, exhausting, short & sweet and leaves you feeling supercharged after you catch your breath. :p Do what you can, take a break if you need it (notice those in the video take breaks too!;)) and don't quit. I am feeling tired from it so haven't done any weight add ons yet and am nearly done with my 3rd week. But, this week am feeling stronger during the workouts so today I think I'll hit UB. Please join us here for the checkin if you want support - our entire "group" is doing the rotation.

Hey Jen and Laura ! ! !

K ladies - off for now - BBL.

Just back to report my workout. Don't have time for personals right now. I did 25.5 kms ( my longest run to date) in 2:02. My Garmin was displaying miles though, I have to fix that. And it also wasn't displaying my average pace. I think I need to read the book, I usually wing it with this kind of stuff and hope for the best.

Lori:)

Hi Ladies,

I just finished GS BSB, PC & PC abs! I feel so much better!!! I also managed 3 loads of laundry. Who knew I could get so much done just by getting up earlier.:)

It was nice to do a Cathe w/o, I miss her. I'm also missing some endurance workouts, ala stepblast etc. My biceps were really struggling this morning. It was quite obvious I hadn't been lifting in a while.

I just finished my fiber one, protein powder, banana and almond milk breakfast. My stomach was actually growling during CA. After cleaning up I'm heading to Costco and should be home in plenty of time for Jerod's football game.

Jacque-my legs were feeling a bit weak during the cardio but I pushed through it. I can get the ticket for the Oct 1 game, but they are $130 a piece and with my car repair and computer on my CC, I just can't justify the expense. I will definitely be wearing my Sakic Jersey and watching the game at home. The cheapest tickets are $38 but they don't have any of those left for the first game...and I prefer to sit lower than the balcony. I'm happy your son also got a promo, that will sure come in handy I'm sure. Hopefully they can save up....Is it possible they could buy a house this year...the big 8K tax credit would sure be nice for him.

Lori-Nice job on your long run. Read the book...at least the display settings so you can set it up to display what you want. You can display up to 4 different settings, it is very nice. You race is getting closer and I'm sure you will be well prepared for it.

RPage-All I can say is don't give up. I'm in the 4th week and it just seems that these w/o's don't seem to get any easier. I like that they are short and to the point. Also, I've lost 6# which awesome for me. Feel free to join our checkin!

I'll bbl to let you know how Jerod's team does today. Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

Hiya ladies !

Well we got a bit over 100' today and I've been dripping all day ! Sitting around in my bikini and still sweating. Best laid plans - niece needed help with a sewing project. Wento to her house, made a shawl for her out of the bottom of a dress. Then she came by just a bit later to have the staps on a dress shortened. Made my pasta salad - went & picked up a trailer - greeted all the IL's (3 sets) and voila - it is nearly 8 PM and we'll be eating shortly. No workout today or tomorrow as we need to be outta here by 7:30. Shall I say no Insanity as I will be carrying boxes and household items around quite a bit. That will have to be my workout.

Lori - so if a 10K is 6.2 miles then you did like 18 miles or so? Wowie you are my hero. Actually I guess most of you here have done some long treks - I've never built up my endurance that far. Thinking maybe 9 miles max. Nice job - you sound like you'll be ready for your race.

Diana - nice workout - figure IF I ever get around to lifiting a weight again :p then I believe I'll be feeling the same way. Can't wait ! Bummer the tix are so expensive - they are hard to come by here too since we had a good season. You can celebrate just as well in the comfort of your own home. Way to go Joe ! ! ! :D Well DS has a few too many bills to pay so unfortunately can't purchase a house before the credit ends in Nov. (I'm thinking that is the deadline I heard). With the addition of another child this year by the time he gets that far his taxes will be reduced quite a bit compared to 2 years ago.

Wendy - there you go again makin' me askeered !  :( :p

Well I most likely will not be around tomorrow at all - have a nice enjoyable Sunday ladies and I'll catch up with you Mon.
